I have been contemplating a backyard renovation for a few years. My property is on a hill and backyard access is a challenge. I also had trouble envisioning the project. While I met with a few contractors and received an estimate or two, none of them impressed me. A number of contractors turned the job down as it was difficult and they were already busy with much easier jobs. In the meantime I needed some minor masonry repairs to the front of my property and contacted Loffreno to provide a quote as they were recommended by a friend. On a whim I asked Marco to take a look at the backyard to see what his thoughts were on renovating the space. He had me at the word "drainage." Not only did he provide a beautiful, clear vision of the possibilities, he was clearly already troubleshooting the existing issues. While he was not the GC on the job, he acted as one by helping to coordinate all the moving pieces, contractors and vendors involved with the project. There aren't enough accolades to give Loffreno Landscaping for the work they did in my yard. After living here for 15 years I finally redid my yard- I cannot give 5 stars to the pool company I hired but I certainly can give Loffreno 5 stars! My yard is not huge but a lot of work needed to be done and now its beautiful!! New pavers, porch, concrete work....Once the work started the guys worked everyday (except Sunday!) until it was done. A lot of companies do work, leave, work somewhere else and come back whenever they feel like it (like my pool company did) But Marco and his guys are professional, respectful of your property, precise...they just did a great job and if I had more work to do I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. I contracted with Loffreno Landscape, Contracting & Concrete to remove and reinstall my driveway, sidewalk and front path. Marco Loffreno and his people were easy to work with. He installed a paver front path, concrete driveway and sidewalk all with a snow melt system. He was very accommodating, even when there was a supply chain issues with some of the snow melt system supplies (not his purchase). His people are skilled and pleasant. They left the site each afternoon presentable. The cost was reasonable and the project was not drawn out (other than the supply chain issues). The work looks great and I'm very happy. We needed some repairs to the masonry on our house so we contacted Loffreno Landscape Contracting in Staten Island, New York. Marco showed up right on time and went over what we needed. They completed the repairs and then we talked about some more improvements. We added new steps, a sidewalk with pavers and a small side porch. We were very happy with the job done and the workers were a pleasure to have around. They were always pleasant and very skilled and hard working. Loffreno did fantastic work for us on Staten Island. He and his men were here for about 10 days and every day they did incredible work. They re-did our sidewalk, and re-created our stairs up to the front doors, and also pathways . My top paver patio was sinking in under my hot tub and because of that, the outdoor lamps were in danger of toppling over. Marco's crew came in and removed the pavers, and redid the entire patio as well as a sinking section of the bottom patio. The job was finished in a week as promised and it looks great!
