I lived here for quite some time and can give a firsthand experience of how this place has taken a dip in the last 8 years. The place has gone under new management, and you can clearly see that the new owners are not interested in investing in the property. Things get "addressed" very haphazardly only to break down a week later. There is little care and attention to the place that we used to call home. I often wonder where my rent goes because it is NOT invested in a single thing on the property. Fire alarms are not up to date, carbon monoxide monitors in the parking garage have not worked in 8+ years, the pungent odor of dog pee all over the property, ZERO locks in the back patio area which are needed due to the high level of transient folks in the area, I can go on... read more

I had a SCHEDULED tour with loft2015 over this weekend and was super excited. Instead, when we got there, the front gate area smelled of straight dog pee and then NO ONE in the office let us in. We called the office multiples times, followed all the steps on the little box in order to get in, and nothing. Finally someone who lived in the complex let us in. We went into the leasing office and there was not a soul in sight. All lights off, no one there. Don't schedule a walk-through if you're not going to be there lol. My husband & I have lived at Loft 2015 for a little over a year and a half. We were thrilled to find such a spacious, light filled and modern apartment so close to all the things I want to do in San Diego! It's in a bit of an industrial neighborhood, with a club on one side (that can run quite late some nights), and the trolley/train on the other. Yes, they both create noise, but it shouldn't come as a surprise as it's clearly an urban environment. More like downtown loft living. You can walk to Old Town or India street for restaurants, bars, or coffee shops. The 5 freeway is 2 blocks away. It's 5-10minutes to basically anywhere... downtown, beaches, Northpark, and you can also walk to the trolley! (green line) The apartment manager Kamron is in the office every day except sometimes Sundays, and is extremely nice and helpful. The maintenance team is awesome. Joaquin is always on top of fixing whatever's not working. I will say in that regard a few things could use a little more attention. The elevator has been out many times since we moved in. Don't know why that keeps happening. And I feel like the security could be improved upon a bit. The only other complaint is more about the residents than the building. Some people just don't consider others when taking their dogs out to potty, or when throwing their garbage in the dumpsters. Seems like common sense stuff, but a few rotten apples always spoil the bunch. But hey, we have a cute little gym, and it's new! (Thanks Kamron!) And other improvements have also been made since we moved in as well. We enjoy living here, and don't have plans to move anytime soon. And one of these days I'm going to walk over to that club just to see what all the fuss is about. :) read more

Previously lived here in 2018 - 2019 with a roommate. I had to break my lease early due to an extremely- no, wait - INSANELY amazing job opportunity in the Bay Area. Kamron was so incredibly understanding of this 'once in a lifetime' chance and was so flexible with my situation. She was prompt and professional. If I were to ever move back to SD, I would definitely apply to live here again. Beautiful complex with a fitness center. The only con could possibly be for the train but I personally wasn't bothered because I'm a heavy sleeper, especially if the sound is routine. I love living here, pet friendly community, close to shopping,beach, and downtown. Kamren the property manager is awesome, knowledgeable, helpful. Juquin maintence man is great, issues are always fixed the same day or the next day. As to issues with noise from train and club yes it can be noisy sometimes but closing the windows helps and you will have noise anywhere you live in a city. Worst place I have ever lived. Loft 2015 is riddled with nuisances you shouldn't have to deal with in your HOME. Dogs park constantly, and the sound echoes in the complex. Owners do not clean up after their dogs, so beware of land mines in common areas. Management's notes are ineffective at curbing the issues. It's like living in a dog pound. Security is available on site; however, my husband and I had our bikes stolen from our storage units. Management was unable to review security footage until 24 hours later, which renders surveillance systems useless. Also, gates were often propped open when people were not moving in or out, and the garage door was inoperable about once a month. Neighbors overstuff all trash receptacles, and the property maintenance man (Joaquin--who is the best thing about L2015) was often required to clean up after disrespectful neighbors. The train noise is obnoxious--even with the windows closed, the neighborhood is often littered with trash, and on the weekends the two nearby clubs are loud. On the up side, living next door to Specialty Produce is great--always an abundance of great eats. Acoustic Ales down the street is great for Friday night tastings, and the units are cool. For me, it was not enough to outweigh the rest. Oh yeah, and my husband was bit by another resident's aggressive dog. This followed several attacks to our dog, which we reported to management. The dog was allowed to stay, and that was our last straw. Nothing outweighs safety, and a management company who is not concerned for your safety shouldn't offer you a home. Maybe this suits you, or maybe you'd like to find a better place to call home....I hope you do. read more

Pros: -Unique layout and decor. German-style modern loft. Convenient location - right by freeway, and central to most areas. -Management/Staff are pleasant and helpful. Cons: -Used to be a good value when I initially moved in (1600/mo) but jacked the rent up over two years to 2000/mo before water/trash fees. No longer a good value. -Train noise. Nonstop. It is tolerable with the windows shut, but then this jacks your electricity bill up in AC costs (200/mo). -Packages are stolen here like crazy. It is my experience that most people do not write reviews about the places they live unless they are unhappy, which is why I believe the reviews for this place are so low. I have lived here for about 4 months now and, I have to say, I couldn't be happier! My husband and I, of course, read the Yelp reviews on this place before we decided to even apply to live here and now, 4 months later, here is what I have to say about the common complaints in these reviews: "It's loud"- While we were getting a tour of the place, it was disclosed to us right from the beginning that there would be noise no matter which side of the property we lived on. The building on the east side will have nightclub noise from Spin (to which we were also informed would be expanding their hours to include more weekdays) and the building on the west side would have noise from the trains (to which we were informed that the area was a required horn blowing area and all trains passing by would be whistling away). We were told about this FIRST THING so there were no surprises when we moved in and... wait for it.... heard the train! The windows do a great job of keeping the noise out when they are closed but expect to hear the noise when you want to open the windows and enjoy that nice San Diego breeze! "Pet poop and barking"- This is in EVERY pet-friendly community. It comes with the territory and can be a problem even in the nicest communities. You have to assume that if a community allows their residents to own pets that there will then probably be some noise and there will also probably be left over pet waste from lazy pet owners. I rarely find pet poo in the back pet area and, when I do, am really frustrated because there are ample waste bags and trash cans! I also see the maintenance crew out there every couple of days with their shovels helping to keep the grounds nice and clean. "Poor security"- So here's the thing: the LOFT2105 apartments offer little storage units and bike racks in the garage and this was a HUGE plus for my husband and I when we were deciding on a place to live (we have a lot of crap). These storage units are just surrounded by simple chain link fencing to which you can affix your own lock to. Aubrianna (the site manager) strongly recommended that if we got a storage unit, that we pick a nice sturdy lock and that we place a tarp over the fence to deter looky-loos from examining your stuff and being tempted to take it. She also told us (in case your common sense didn't already know) not to place anything valuable in them. They aren't super secure and aren't there as a safe, but rather as a place to store the things you can never find space for in your home. These lofts are monitored by security guards but, let's be real, they can't be everywhere at once so there is a possibility that thieves will sneak in, like thieves do, and steal your goodies if they are in plain view. It's like leaving your purse or a computer in the front seat of your car- you're practically begging them to break in and steal it. just don't be an idiot and you and your stuff will be FINE. On that note, I have never heard of anyone's actual apartment being broken into, so that's a plus for me! "Unresponsive staff"- Now this one I just don't get. Aubrianna is SUPER accessible and is more than accommodating with anything we need. We had a couple of repair requests when we first moved in and she got them taken care of either that day or the day after, I was impressed! The day we moved in, she took the time to walk me through how to get to my parking spot and then from the parking spot to my front door. She made sure I knew where the mailboxes were and, once we were inside my unit, told me the trick to getting the doors to close tight and how to avoid an incredibly large AC bill. She really took the time to show me all the little things you don't think about until you need it and I really appreciated that. Most places will just hand you the keys and wish you luck, but I was made to feel super comfortable every step of the way! Also, the maintenance staff is SO NICE! They are always willing to help you with anything you need and will always greet you with a smile and a "good morning" when you walk by. I can honestly say that this is one of the best apartment communities I have ever lived in. I have met so many AMAZING neighbors whom I now call friends. I love the impromptu neighborhood barbeques and get-togethers! On top of that, I LOVE the modern interior finishes, all the storage space and the in-house washer/dryer! Not to mention the convenient location. I mean, Mission Hills, Hillcrest and North Park are right up the hill, you're about 1-2 miles from Little Italy and downtown (we ride our bikes down and it's awesome!) and there's easy access to the 5, the airport and trolley. I'm glad the grumps that wrote those bad reviews are no longer living here, perhaps they just weren't the right fit for our community! read more

Trash (literally and figuratively) everywhere surrounding the complex and inside the complex as well (Section 8). Yelp is a really good tool to see how things are ran and what other people think about a certain business. That being said, I am certainly glad that I gave this property the benefit of the doubt after reading the horrendous reviews people have left. All amount to the same thing; train, dog poop, and manager not being on site. If you move to a place that is 15 feet away from the train, don't complain about it. The windows are thick and do a very good job at muffling the sound of the train. This is a pet friendly community and you see and hear dogs all around. In my experience, owners of the dogs do take care of their droppings and the windows again do an amazing job. Never in the 6 months living here have I stepped or seen dog poop lingering around. As for the property manager, Aubrianna is respectful and very prompt at replying to emails and phone calls. She will make time for you if need be and the office is open every morning. Aubrianna is the single manager for this property so she is bound to not be present at times. I've put in a couple of service requests for common mishaps, and they were promptly resolved. I know that management will go above and beyond to make sure that you are having a pleasurable experience in your home. Joaquin, the maintenance tech is also very respectful and has amazing work etiquette. Definitely going to renew the lease. read more

Neighbors are super friendly and nice. Next door specialty produce offers neighbor discount. It's an urban neighborhood so it's a bit noisy with club on weekends and trains. Shaina is the most awesome property manager I have ever experienced!! She needs a raise!! How dedicated to actually LIVE on the property. Imagine having a million residents hounding you every time you leave your apartment? On the elevator? Taking your dogs outside? That girl is the best employee in the world. We moved into this property last fall from Southern Mississippi. I have a small son and a small doggie. We absolutely love it here. I am so blessed and thankful for Shaina and how smooth our transition was. Yes, it is definitely pricey, but, it's actually the least expensive place within the school area for my son. Grant Elementary is our main reason for moving to this area and without Loft 2015, we wouldn't have been able to afford a place within the Grant area. Anytime we have ever had a maintenance call, it was fixed immediately. Any email, complaint, suggestion or just a hello to the office and Shaina has always been returned courteously and prompt. I have no complaints and I am from the south!!! We love it here! read more

When I moved to San Diego from Chicago, I was very skeptical about moving to these apartments because of all the bad reviews they had due to a previous management company. Shaina (the current property manager) is great! The staff here is very friendly, very responsive and always there to help! They always have community events for the residents, which is great! The apartments themselves are very nice and modern looking, every one of my guests who have visited me have loved the apartments. I also think that these units are VERY reasonably priced comparing to any other units in the area. The only thing which I have found to be a bit of a turn off is that lately I have noticed that the trains honk more than they did before. Being that they're going through residential areas, California should put some sort of law stating that one honk is enough!!! This is not management's fault and noise generally doesn't bother me but from all the places (all over the US) that I have lived in, trains have always been prohibited from honking when they're going through residential areas. Note to Management: Keep doing what you're doing! You and your staff are great!!! You have definitely given me a great living experience here in San Diego, Sadly LA is my next stop. read more

I don't actually live here, even though I really, really wanted to and spent quite a while planning for it. The reason why is because I had an appointment to tour the building this morning and nobody was there to receive me. So I waited for almost an hour... Called the leasing office several times and nobody would pick up - standing there awkwardly while people walked by me. So then I got really sad, because I felt ignored when I was prepared to fork over lots of money for rent. I guess my money wasn't good enough for them... :( read more

You would have thought it was built 30 years ago the way everything has been breaking down and not working, what a shoddy construction job. PLEASE READ THIS...DON'T MAKE A TRULY TERRIBLE MISTAKE....0 STARS! Where to begin...definitely read the yelp reviews for this location...people are not lying when they say how bad it actually is...the only two positive comments are completely confused and have the wool pulled over their eyes. Day one - contacted Lofts 2015 and made arrangements to meet with bldg. manager...late as usual just like everyone said in their yelp reviews plus she had someone else there to see the location at the same time we were supposed to meet with her. Most of the time, living directly across from the front gate I saw several people waiting around for her, aimlessly trying to figure out how to get into the building...waiting and waiting, I personally walked down several times to just let people in because I felt bad for them! Now my biggest problem with this is how in the heck can she always be running late or almost never in the building because....wait for IT...She lives in the building, how is this even possible??? This brings me to one of my biggest issues. For a community of this size, they only have two people working. The building manager and Juanito, the only tech janitor on site. With her very rarely being around and almost never in her office, it's obviously very difficult to view any issues with her building or additional spaces adjacent to the building. To live there and walk past dog poop, trash, puke, cigarette butts, beer cans and bottles etc is just beyond me. How can you possibly run a building with just two people and one just doesn't care. Now for Juanito, he is one of the hardest working janitors I have ever seen, but he can't possibly do this by himself, he deserves a raise and some extra help. It could be a lot easier to maintain the cleanliness of the building if those people who lived there didn't treat it as if it were a frat house... Bringing me to my next point, there are a select few in that building who live there who have any type of respect for the building or their neighbors. Skateboarding and bike riding inside the the community, jumping on furniture and doing tricks on their boards, not only in the main area but also inside the garage. Friends of neighbors jumping over the front gate because their buddies are too lazy to let them in. Puking all over the entrance and common areas is a very normal experience, drunk crying "girl" sleeping on the entry way couches because her and one of her boyfriends have argued again for the umpteenth time! Partying neighbors blaring their music way too loud and after being asked to turn it down on several occasions still doing it. Lastly, and probably worst of all... Those neighbors who have dogs don't close their windows. The building sounds like a very loud and annoying dog kennel...it's amazing how some people keep their dogs inside all day long and wonder why they are not happy and whine all day long. But even after discussing this with management, nothing happens! Thanks to the people who lived below us....barking from their dog that May have gone out once a day....sad! Ok...now the fun part, Thieves...most likely inside job from someone who lives in the building, but nonetheless....thieves SUCK. Several bikes were stolen in addition to many other items, nothing done about it....according to the security guards (whom we will get to in a few minutes) informed me that the video cameras were at least 48 hours behind and very difficult to see who it was. Nothing ever came of it and no follow through from management, just the typical sad face and oh I'm sorry:( Unreal! Ok...security, these guys have to honestly be the most useless people ever. Sitting on the couches the majority of the evening doing what...texting or playing games on their cell phones! I confronted one of them and said what do u guys do that is so important on the cell phone? He told me that he needs to log everything before he wraps up for his tour....ok, but u just started! Whatever....then I told him about the stolen bikes, they had no idea and were not informed by management, are u kidding me! Lastly, they have zero authority....meaning they don't have weapons or can't arrest anyone if they saw an act deemed wrong or unlawful. He directly told me that all he could do was call 911..... Really...so sad! I guess I'm a security guard too! Ok running out of room, the building looks cool and the two story loft is a cool layout, but PLEASE DONT FALL FOR THAT OR THE LOW RENT $.... Trains, shoddy workmanship, crappy neighbors, terrible management, crazy nightclub across the street and around the corner, bums galore, recycling center two blocks down and there really isn't any kind of neighborhood to walk to. SAD BUT TRUE! Last thing...a truly ridiculous neighbor's dog bit me, and the building did absolutely nothing about it, but THANKFULLY LET US OUT OF OUR LEASE A FULL MONTH EARLY! We have lived at the property for about a year now, and we are currently in our second unit. To say I enjoy the community is an understatement. Aubrey and Joaquin are nothing less then perfect when it comes to promptness. Aubrey is always willing to help us out with anything that we need. My husband frequently goes on deployments and being around people I can trust is really important. Being in an area close to downtown there is always noise, but when you close the windows they are practically soundproof. I will say if you don't like pets, this place is definitely not for you. All of us either have pets or love them! The community area is great for when we all just want to hang out together outside and bbq. We found that loft 2015 has the most "band for your buck" in the whole area, considering there is secure parking and storage, as well as laundry in EACH UNIT and they also accept multiple pets. read more

To me,​ some of the most​ important qualities of ​awesome living experience​ in an​ apartment community are​​ the location (to the things relevant to my experience​), the property manager and the expedience​ of the responsiveness and resolve to any issue while living​ there. The present property manager now is kind, professional, knowledgeable​, responsive​, extremely helpful and just overall a genuine human being. The building/facilities manager is also kind, extremely competent, efficient and genuine. The property itself is aesthetically​​ pleasing, modern, clean lines, pretty nice square footage and close to downtown, beaches, ​and work. So, for me,​ it is 100% an optimal location, half a mile from the 5. Specialty​ produce​ is next door, so that is an added​ bonus for me (except for when I am trying to park outside instead of under the garage)! read more

This is the best apartment complex I have ever stayed at. The property manager is so sweet. She is so helpful and easy to talk to. We did have a couple issues one with the shower drain clogging and one with ants but they came and took care of the issue within 24 hours. I also appreciate that they let the residents know if they will be working on the water line ahead of time. I really loved that they had a gated backyard for our dog to run around and and underground parking. We would be staying but we need a bigger place. read more

My fiancé and I moved into Loft 2015 just about 3 months ago and it has been the best experience! Shaina, the community manager, is amazing - so sweet and incredibly inviting. AMAZING customer service! If something is wrong, maintenance is in here within 24 hours (but usually way sooner). Also love that there is a security man patrolling the property during night time hours - sometimes I get up before the sun goes up to get to work and it always makes me feel safe that he is around. We live in the 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom layout. We just checked online to see how many square feet our place was and were shocked that it was only 846 square feet. It feels so much larger than that and very spacious - the design of the building and of the individual lofts is very precise, detailed and calculated. The use of the space is amazing and since we have an upstairs and downstairs - it feels more like the size of a condo than a loft. The designer did an incredible job! You can tell it was a well-thought out space and aesthetic design. The design of everything is sleek, new, clean, modern and beautiful! Also, the location is great. It is urban living without the hectic urban life and crazy high prices. Little Italy, downtown or Hillcrest is only a $5 Uber! We live on the side next to the train (something we really expected to bother us, but we barely hear it!) and often times feel like we are secluded in a quiet, private space! Everyday, I come home and am so happy we moved here. Such a great ambiance, new designs and stainless steal appliances, full unit AC, washer and laundry in the unit...I could go on and on. I lived in Loft for 3 1/2 years with my boyfriend and dog. We loved living here and the apartments are super nice. We loved all the modern finishes (especially the kitchen), AC, and having 2 levels. The place is dog friendly and had a great back yard for them to play. The complex is very clean and so pretty. I absolutely hate bugs and I only saw 1 spider in my apartment the whole time I was there! I loved having the windows from floor to ceiling it provided nice natural light. Joaquin is the property caretaker and doesn't get enough credit for his rapid maintenance. He is the foundation of that property and always did an amazing job. The two things you have to get use to is the train and there is a club on the other side of the complex. When the windows are shut you don't hear the club which is nice. Karman, the property manager, was amazing and made sure everyone's needs were met. She is the best property manager I have had in 8 years of renting. This building changed owners a few months ago. They have made some nice improvements (google fiber, better landscaping) and they have made some not so great improvements. They lost a really great property manager because they wanted someone "cheaper". You get what you pay for and that is not a good hint. Brenda is always behind, never knows what is going on, makes excuses and offers lame customer service if you have a complaint. Pre-Brenda, we had zero complaints. The company they hired that oversees Brenda doesn't seem to have a concept that Brenda doesn't connect with the residents. The company "Mas" is not mas, it is menos. The new owners also substituted security companies and crime has escalated big time. A car was stolen from our locked, security camera underground lot. Our car was broken in to inside "secure" underground parking. Storage units are routinely broken into in secure building. Security cameras don't work (can't believe it or is an inside job) and the shoulder shrugging from property management is unacceptable. New security company may not have the "brightest" candidates on the block representing them as the level of intelligence is suspect. We have dogs and use appropriate areas to curb pets, others let their dogs urinate and defecate on the sidewalks adjacent to property and in the walkways inside property. It is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. There are even some that don't pick up after their pets at all and shirk around in the shadows hoping no one knows it's them, but we know who it is. The amenities are limited at this location for what you pay. There is no gym, no free wi-fi (previously provided by ownership), patios are right in front of other tenants units, so not desirable to hang out. A few tenants have kids and you can hear the mom screaming holy hell upon them up and down the breezeways all day and in to the evening. I know equal housing and all- but there is def some sketch here. Our garage door is constantly broken, and the electronic key systems are glitchy and not functioning over a period of weeks. Brenda just doesn't know anything. She thinks maybe the "navy shut them down"? She says it happens sometimes. Well, I don't know about that, but it hasn't happened before she got here and we have been here long enough to know. Neighbors routinely wedge open secure doors to allow for people to walk in to the "secure" campus. Maybe that is fine in Coronado or La Jolla, but here in this hood, there is a large homeless encampment in the bushes surrounding the building and a regular heroine route on Hancock that runs 24 hours. I have high hopes the ownership will replace Brenda at a minimum and have higher expectations for professional services and security assurances to the tenants. We know crooks will be crooks, but there are ample weak spots at the Loft for criminals to get in AND get away with crime. Today, management posted the secret intercom password on the outside of the building so everyone who walked by could get access to our building today. Another genius management choice. The head custodian of the property is very nice, but he has also entered our apartment 3 times without notice on "accident" surprised to see us home and saying it was and "accident wrong apartment". Same excuse each time "to fix the garbage disposal" for the exact same apartment. Memorized reflex answer? Makes us want to get a security camera in our house to watch out for our property. We have rental insurance, but don't want to have to use it. What the heck? In conclusion, iffy standards at the Loft and not the place we originally signed up to live at. Location is convenient to downtown and freeways. Customer service poor. Owners are probably cool since they are making upgrades. But this property management's generic preprinted "one size fits all" letters responding to issues isn't quite personal. Brenda is too green and indifferent for this rodeo. Everything here has gone from bad to worst. I have lived here for almost 3 mos now. I relocated so finding a place in SD in such a short amount of time prevented me from doing my homework on a place. Everything is falling apart. It should be brand new but things are loose the floor is uneven and our doors are not secure. They were suppose to fix our door and left it half completed. Trains pass by every two minutes it seems like. They are loud! Honk five times for every train it seems like. If it's not the freight train its the amtrak or the trolley. There is also a company that operates next door that is LOUD! At 3am you hear men yelling at each other and smacking things around. I haven't had a full night sleep. You are really not close to anything either. Yeah things are a short drive but if you want to be part of a community, this is not the place. Construction is ongoing!!!!! They only stop to take a lunch. Management is inconsiderate of their current tenants and is more concerned about making the place look nice for prospective residents. At face value is seems like a great deal but once inside it is a bad product. Management is nice because they have to make the best of the situation. Randy the maintenance guy is great and I think that is the reason we stayed because he really tries to do what he can do to help. Let me being by saying that if I could give this apartment less than 1 star, I most certainly would. I have must, unfortunately (and most embarrassingly, I might add), admit that I have lived here for nearly two years now. I can't being to put into a narrative how awful this place is to live, but I can make a list: 1. I walked in this evening, after a 15-hour work day, to find 4 giant piles of vomit all over my porch and in front of my door. 2. Cigarette ashes and butts are a persistent feature in every direction that one looks. 3. Neighbors who are forever inconsiderate; loud, stomping up and down stairs, slamming doors, and yelling. The walls are so thin, they might as well be in a 2" perimeter of your face. 4. The most poor construction you could imagine. The owners most reluctantly paid over $200 to repair damage to my car after it rained and concrete glue leaked onto my hood, causing nearly permanent damage to my vehicle. 5. Dogs that shit everywhere and piss everywhere and nobody even cares to clean it up. Expect to step in shit and piss on a daily basis if you move here. Do you enjoy that? Oh you do? Okay, well come on! 6. Do you like to pay outrageous prices to live in a place that is made, basically, by IKEA? Not to hate on IKEA, but if I'm going to pay over $2,000 a month for a shoebox, I expect a little more than this. Every piece of hardware has broken multiple times: door hinges, doorknobs, cabinet hinges, towel racks. You name it, it has broken. And honey, I'm as gay as they come, and I can promise you, it wasn't from poor treatment or lack of care. 7. Speaking of terrible neighbors, our neighbors seems to delight not only in leaving their mangy animal's feces on our porches (and their own vomit on doorsteps), but they also PILE garbage at the base of the elevator (which also frequently has the smells of piss, foul rotten food, or farts that came from the Devil himself, I'm sure). People here have no consideration for anybody but their own nasty selves. Clearly, piling unwanted furnishing from your own IKEA purchases at the base of the garbage bins until frugal community members can't deposit their own tidy bags of garbage is an acceptable practice. 8. Even if you have three people in a two-bedroom apartment, you only get one parking spot. Everyone else with a car has to fight the drunken patrons of Spin. 9. While this next issue isn't directly related to Loft 2015, it might as well be. Whoever finds it reasonable to build a living community (which is not Section 8 or a homeless shelter) directly across the street from a ghetto nightclub, a recycling center (which is like a beacon for crazy, thieving, homeless zombies who would rather stab you than live a day without a meth needle or aluminum cans), or a sex shop where despicable 40-something married men can whack off to gay porn, is clearly an idiot: can't put it any more plainly than that. Worse, is any slightly sane person that would decide to spend their hard-earned money here. You might as well join the string-thing wearing loafers that frequent the club across the street and pass out in the trash that one must wade through to get through one's front door. 10. Spin: Loud. Disgusting. Disrespectful. The patrons are gross and so are the owners. I kid you not; we have heard (again, as if they were in the room with us) multiple threats of murder toward people coming out of Spin on a nightly basis. Having to sleep on the couch for fear of a stray bullet ending my life is no way to spend my hard earned money. The cars line up and block the streets, and forget about parking Thursday-Sunday night. Be careful not to hit whores strutting their way over to twerk in front of you own door. Everyone, apparently, knows the code to our gate. 11. We have security at Loft 2015? This might as well be King Burger. True story: I walked out of the elevator one evening (again, after a long and trying day) to find a very young and most lost poor soul sitting on the sad, sad couches that we call "common area", texting away on his phone. He was wearing a "security uniform" and asked me who he was supposed to check in with because it was his first day and he didn't know where to go. Well, first off, how did you even get in here? And second, I have no idea who your boss is supposed to be! The security guards change months because nobody knows what the hell is going on or what the hell they are even supposed to do. They aren't trained or directed. They won't help you. They won't protect you. We've had multiple break-ins at 2015: TRUTH. Security here is a joke. You might as well put a sign on your door that says "the code to the gate is **** and my apartment number is ***. Just break my cheap IKEA windows and take whatever you want. Hell. Stay a night. I was greatly underwhelmed by the location. We had about 6 months of bad sleep due to SPIN, the nightclub directly across the street. The train tracks on the other side of the building sure didn't help either. Who builds a residential building between the freeway, an after hours nightclub, and train tracks? I can only agree with other comments about the construction. It was maybe a month after we moved in that we noticed the bathroom towel racks were pulling out of the wall, there was a regular sewer smell in our bathroom, the kitchen cabinet hinges were breaking and there were carpet tacks sticking up all over. They turned the water off several times too. The straw that broke the camels back was when we received our notice for renewal. Month to month would increase our rent by $500. At least signing for a year the rent would only go up $200 a month. When we were already paying $1965 the end did not justify the means. You can also expect high energy bills due to having to run the A/C, otherwise the top floor gets unbearably hot. read more
