After our family moved to Burnet, my Buick took a dive. Literally 3 days after the last load came off the truck. I asked in next door app and so many people recommended Loftis. I had my car towed and they diagnosed it. It was exactly what we thought. A starter. They got it fixed and running in just a couple days and the cost was so very good. I was so happy!!! I usually take my vehicles to Christian Bros. It always cost me $1500 to r more. But here this place was so reasonable and Rachel (sp) was amazing and full of knowledge! She had so much info for us. So while I don't Normally write reviews as I believe most complaints are made by people simply complaining most times over minor or perceived issues rather then actual problems. That being said the folks at Loftis Automotive did a fantastic job on my truck. Essentially with a one day wait for parts, they only needed one day to repair/ replace my Shocks/ Struts, Brake pads, Valve cover gasket and coil pack. These are time intensive and require a lot of tedious detail and they performed all of that in one day. After getting tires and my front end aligned my truck runs as if brand new again. Easily the BEST automotive repair place I have ever used and I am nearly 64 years old and lived all over Texas. They are extremely nice employees and owners and MOST Importantly HONEST, which is so very important when getting your auto worked on. There prices are much more reasonable than a dealer and their lead mechanic is one of the best and most knowledgeable mechanics I have ever known. I am very upset with this auto repair shop. They did a valve cover gasket replacement on my car. I made an appointment on Tues for Fri morning. They said they could get the repair done by the end of the day. Driving it 2 miles after the repair, it overheated badly. It was done on a Friday and they are closed on the weekends. I had to call another mechanic because I couldn't drive it. The mechanic said they did not bleed the air out of the top of the engine and put enough coolant in it. It was possible that this could have damaged my water pump. "Rita" whoever she is, was too busy to talk to me. I will never use them or recommend them to anyone. I manage a small business in the same town and have signs on all my doors about this also. Its a small town, word will definitely get around. read more
