But even without AC, once the sun went down, it cooled down enough to sleep in the evening, and wake up in the middle of the night to watch the sky from the star-gazing field a short walk from our site. The best part was probably the 4 camp kittens. They were very friendly and funny, and will be for sure going back later in the year, when it is a little bit cooler, to see how they kittens are growing.

The folks who work at the campground; Charleen, Kelly & Rudy were just the most welcoming & warm people we've come across in a while. Check in/out was super easy, firewood that you purchase is delivered right to your cabin. Theres a shop with lots of things if you forgot anything & really pretty reasonably priced. Plus there's dvds you can just check in or out for free. Theres an adorable patio off the main building where we had a blast playing battleship and shuffleboard. We also ordered food. I'm from Pennsylvania and a good cheesesteak is far and few between it seems down south.. this place has the best cheesesteak I've had in years. It was hot, greasy & packed with flavor. Food was 10/10. Also; the bathrooms were surprisingly clean & it was a rainy day/night. Hiking trails are a 5 minute drive. Theres a dog park at the campground, that was awesome. The only semi negative thing I could say is the cabins are pretty close to each other so there's not a ton of privacy. If you're looking for an intimate camping experience, that also feels really safe, this is the perfect place. We will definitely back and I do HIGHLY recommend! The negative: no real trees/shade altho the grass was well kept. Water needed a filter and we couldn't get TV reception. Maybe half to three quarters are permanent and I've seen a lot of complaints but we do not feel any need to complain. Also...RR tracks are close and maybe 5-8 trains came by every day/night. We love trains, so not a problem to us - just be warned if you care. No playground or dog park, with lots of dogs (all leashed). We will come back if we are in the area.

I had a deposit plus a confirmation email too. What they offered was a less quality, not even them same as to the what we agreed on! They did find other places BUT at a higher price. This cottage is very functional, has a wonderfully appointed kitchen with everything you need to make your own meals. There's a washer/dryer, saving you trips to the laundromat and plenty of off-street parking for 2 vehicles. If you want to go out for a bite to eat, there are endless options/cuisines blocks away. Coffee, Mexican, American, Spanish, seafood and wonderful "local" bars. Amelia Island Brewing is a short block away, several Bistros and garden cafes. Everything has outdoor seating and local music in the evenings. The Guest Cottage location is easy and convenient for anything on the Island and Jacksonville is an easy 25 miles. Airport is close and an easy drive. Walk downtown, enjoy the wonderful stores, restaurants, Saturday morning farmers market and views of the ocean. Walk back to the Guest Cottage and enjoy living close to all that's happening! We would definitely stay at the Guest Cottage again and recommend it to anyone looking for an extended stay location on Amelia Island!

We were having a home rehabbed in Georgia and could not stay in our home pending construction in the house. The Class A motor home was lovely. It was roomy, with a stove and oven and a large kitchen area. The beds were great and with the slide outs we did not feel cramped at all. Because the unit was a nonsmoking RV, it had no musty smell. We spent two full weeks there and had no complaints. We were shown exactly what to do since my wife and I had never rented a motor home before. A great experience! We plan on renting again from these folks. This was a five star experience and we thank them for sharing their beautiful motor home with us.

Highly recommend a Day trip to Cumberland Island, what a…read morebeautiful and magical place! The trip is awesome, you need to book the ferry in advance and there is a 15 dollars fee to enter the park, which you have to pay when picking up your ferry tickets, so be aware of if. The ferry ride was pleasant and not too long, about 40 mins, you need to pack and bring all your necessities with you to the island, so be mindful of your needs and prepare in advance. Once on the island there are multiple trails and the wild horses are everywhere in the Dungeness area. The beach is absolutely amazing, but note that in the summer time is not recommend to hike from Dungeness to Seacamp beach using the beach side itself, due to heat. Rather you should hike using the main road, which gives you plenty of viewing opportunities with the horses. Park rangers do a wonderful job stopping by and checking on visitors, offering rides and helpful direction, kudos to them. It's a wonderful day trip, plan accordingly and enjoy!

Even though there was a constant stream of cars in and out, it wasn't too noisy. It was clean (as usual) and they even provided a large garbage can for each reserved site. There was only one small issue we ran into. This location didn't have a check-in option from our email confirmation, so we had to use the kiosk, which is no big deal but the kiosk required a passcode. The Love's employee came out to help. They said that some customers log out of the iPad completely, not knowing they don't need to. Again, not a big deal but being able to check-in from our confirmation email is a plus. We have been keeping an eye on the new RV Hookup locations popping up and planning our travels accordingly. It's nice to be able to fuel up and stay after a long day.
