This was a GREAT campground and the staff was AMAZING! We had to evacuate here for Hurricane Milton and the staff was excellent and made everything so much easier for us!! The camper spots are concrete which is great and everything is just a walk away! We would definitely go back! read more

Park is located close is I-95, no security gate and experienced shady traffic periodically. Most campers are elderly who have no patience for little kids and the park has no attractions for children. The head manager Kimberly Odden is unprofessional and doesn't understand the fine line between policies and inflicting personal opinions into her professional duties. Most of the office staff is disgruntle and seem to all hate their jobs with the exception of the activities coordinator who clearly doesn't get enough support from park management to make Pecan Park desirable to live or stay. Don't believe any of the pictures if you have children because this is definetely not the place for you to stay. Received a notice to vacate within 24 hours if my children want to be children and ever have fun. read more

This place has nice amenities and is kept somewhat well, but unfortunately the people that live here have brought my star review down. The noise is ridiculous. There are all types of cars and motorcycle noise from very rude people that should know better. The RV park is also directly in the airport flight path. Those planes can be loud, especially the military ones. There are also lots of random noises like slamming of doors and screaming children way past the quiet hour time. The trash situation is a little inconvenient as well. There are dumpsters by the office, and can be a very long walk depending on where your site is. My major con to this place is that they make a point to tell you about the rules, but no one monitors them. The RV park needs to take control of all the crap that people have out. Looks very trashy. This campground is two large parking lots. Very few trees in the back lot. Most campers live there full time so the place looks like a camper sales park. The trash container is a very long hot walk down a narrow road without sidewalks. I asked if my heavy bag could be picked up once as I couldn't walk that far with a heavy bag. The office said no! Stayed there for a couple of months. I went to pay the monthly lot rent, they said I needed to change lots within 30 min. I changed lots. They neglected to mention that my rent was now X4.As a result, they evicted me and took my 5th wheel camper. This had a value of $15k and lost it to them due to their negligence. Absolute THEIVS. This is a very nice campground. The entire place has cement pads. The areas are separated for the long term and the newer sections. Despite what others have said the office staff is super nice and Valerie was very nice to let us come in early without charging us. This place is clean. Having the dumpsters by the front may seem inconvenient to some people but it keeps it away from all rigs. Very convenient when leaving and easy to get to. They have lots of activities and a great welcome package. Being on the flight path is a definite issue but we knew that when we reserved. Most campgrounds are by train stations or highways anyway. The planes stop around 10p and resume around 5a. It is what it is. I wear earplugs "Mack's" and never hear a thing. Yes, there are children. If people don't want children the. Go elsewhere to a 55-+ campground. Jacksonville has limited campgrounds close to the city and this beats Flamingo for sites and clean. I recommend for anyone. read more

We stayed at this lovely place for over 30 days - it made it easier to come and go from our rig visit friends etc. very clean and staff are extremely helpful, the grounds are regularly cared for, since we have been Rving full time these things are extremely important. It's quiet and that's a big deal for us. Since we have been here we have not experienced anything like what I read in past comments. One of the reasons my husband and I decided to leave comments was because we read the prior comments and it is exactly opposite of what we have experienced in our extremely long stay at this park. 5 star for the stuffs here. There are very nice and patient. 5 star for the site. They are clean and spacious. The gardener does very good job too. Negative star for the location!!! This RV park is close to an international airport. It's right under the plane route. The plane is too too too noisy! Especially during the night! More than this, many fighter jets flew by too. Management inperticular Kim T, was very very rude unprofessional unfriendly!!! Dang right MISERABLE!!, Sun needs to seriously rethink how they want to represent this Park!! Myself and countless others had very serious confrontations with Kim. Her callousness to her workers the guests dogs and children was appalling and embarrassing to the Sun establishment. In fact she is clueless on how to Manage, I felt so bad for many of the food trucks that came they were Great, But Kim would neglect to advertise them so NO ONE knew they were there.. If it didn't represent a hospitality industry shameful, he workers are very very unhappy and fear her footsteps,..the dog park was a mudswamp ...I would not recommend if you want to stay at a clean happy PARK!! Park was ok. Not kid friendly. Office staff not super accommodating. Paid for 2nd month staying, found a home to rent 2 days in. They refused to refund us any money. $960. They'll charge you for any additional children over 2. ($30 each additional) So we had to pay $960 / month to park our trailer. Be prepared to sit with your children all day. I have older kids who are well behaved and do well on their own. Other park members told the office staff they were "tearing up the gym", which they never were. The park cleaner lady yelled at my daughter telling her she was the worst one in the bunch and that she broke the door. Which never happened. After that they locked up all the gym doors saying you had to rent a gym key just to use them. All in all. If you have kids they'll probably shove you into the back of the park with the other families. You won't get the option to stay in the nicer front area. We asked to move to a few open spots and we were told the electric didn't work on one or they weren't open. 3 days later they had someone parked in the "broken rv site". I wouldn't stay here again. It's not just older folks who need places to park their campers. read more

We sold our home in February and moved into our friends RV and have been staying at Pecan Park into what looks like June as we await the construction of our home (3+months). I have nothing but good things to say. I have very little interaction with the staff but what I have had has always been pleasant and courteous. The facilities are always so very clean and stocked. If I had one thing to say it would be to make the rv pad on the corner by the stop sign a compact rv spot. Sometimes it's hard to gauge if there are oncoming vehicles or pedestrians with the big-boy rv's. Otherwise keep doing what your doing and please share my sentiments with the team - it takes a group of dedicated people to maintain these standard. read more

Stayed one night. Very nice super clean. It is close to JAX but they don't fly all night. All spots are paved. We did have to disconnect our tow to fit but we are 45' without tow. Roads are paved n spots are well marked. Lots of higher end fellow RVers. Eateries and shopping less than 4 miles away. Stop again ? Definitely. read more

Not worth the price. There are good bathhouses, beautiful patio over looking a catch and release pond next to a swimming pool, rev room and laundry room. Concrete pad was choppy but not too bad. The reason we will not be back is the CONSTANT low flying commercial airplanes. They are very loud. If you are looking to relax, look on. read more

Stayed for a little over a month. Nice place. Facilities were clean. Could use a few more washers and dryers. Other than the planes flying over head which you get used too. I really liked the park. A couple more shade trees would be nice too. The are doing a lot of renovations so I'm sure it will only improve. read more

Located near the Pecan Park Flea & Farmers' Market with easy access to I-95, this is a nice big park. The spaces are pull-thru and large enough for big rigs towing a vehicle. It has a pool with a sun deck, laundry facilities, full hook-ups and free wireless internet. All spaces have a clear view of the Southern Sky, so no problem with TV and internet satellites. A nice RV Park but a little plain as far as landscaping goes. read more

We spent a few days here before heading south, as we "did" every year. We used to spend up to one week quite comfortably when making our way from D.C. to Key West for the winter and got a late start this year. BOY has this place gone downhill. Trashy sites with crumbling pads, picnic benches falling apart, dump stations with no lids, much higher rates and few, if any, services (have to take your own trash to the dumpsters which is a mess). Moved into this place for an extended stay of 3 months. Since I have been here the cable has been out the wifi has been out and the free wifi that is provided is so slow you can't even use it when it does work. The weather here has been a little cold and now the first nice and sunny days we have both pools are closed. It would be nice to know where my $1350 a month is going since I'm pretty sure electric isn't that expensive for my camper. This is one of the highest monthly rates I have ever paid to have zero services available. Hopefully someone reads this review and gets these issues fixed!! At this point my recommendation would be look for a different campground. read more

I do NOT understand any of the negative comments at all. We have been here a week and a half now and plan to stay longer. The parking pads are in great shape with a lot of space between campers. No one speeds through the park, the dumpsters are well cared for, the laundry and pool area are immaculate. Everything is nicely landscaped and the planes stop making noise about 9-10pm per FAA noise abatement. The staff is very friendly and very nice. Shopping is close and the neighborhood seems very safe. It is slightly expensive and could use a few more trees but I'd rather pay more and enjoy a clean and safe park than not. Without a doubt the best park within 30 minutes of downtown that I have been too. Especially given Covid and the discord going on in the US over politics. They don't allow political paraphernalia and I think that is a plus. Couldn't be happier with this place! read more

Good Sam rated this park very high. The park is clean, nice spacing between sites and all pull thru sites. New clubhouse, laundry and pool. Close to shopping and restaurants. The problem is there are commercial airplanes flying over close enough to see the airline name frequently. read more

I like this park. Concrete slabs, lawn between sites, nice pool, long sites to keep tow car hooked up, all sites are clean and great long walks for your pups. It's easy off 95 so you're going to get road noise. For a one night stay it hit all of our necessities. Staff was very nice and most of the full timers lots were neat. I would stay again. read more

If I could give it zero stars, I would. Called and made a reservation for 4 days. Paid a one day deposit. Found out my plans had to change. Called to cancel only to find that they won't give me my deposit back regardless of ample time to re- book. I have NEVER had an RV park keep my deposit if I cancelled almost a month ahead of time. The woman I spoke to told me that campers who plan on staying for a month have to pay a $500 deposit and if you cancel, you lose the ENTIRE amount! Don't book here! There is not an RV park in the country that would be worth that risk! read more

We stayed here for one night, traveling through, good location, clean RV Park, Full Hook Up, 50 amp service, spacious sites. Near airport, didn't bother us, hearing the planes flyover. Concrete pads were cracked and lots of ant piles, not maintained, it seems. Had cable, not digital, fuzzy reception on all channels. Not sure about WiFi, did not use it, had our own. This is an immaculate RV Resort. Sites are Park & sites are HUGE with lots of elbow room. Laundry, pool & bathrooms are squeaky clean. But why we are writing this review is to give accolades to their office team. They are awesome. We landed here with a crippled RV. The staff put us at ease, had great resources of contacts, & were more than willing to work with us during our ordeal which turned into weeks. They treated us more than fair. Too bad there isn't a negative rating to select. Traveling up the coast with the wife from Daytona, stopped at Pecan Park which proved to be an expansive mistake. The parks electrical system is very out dated at the park and a transformer blew the first day we were there. I also had to purchase a new power converter a couple days. I have never had electrical problems in my Prevost before and Camping World sited on my bill it was from a faulty 50 amp hook up. Also the water is very very hard, but a water softener might solve that. The airplanes were a little loud, not as bad as I had read in other reviews here, but there are massive amounts of construction outside the park on local roads and on off ramps of 95. The park is right off the highway next to the loves truck stop so there is a spot top refuel before leaving.. read more

Expensive sterile military style parking lot close to Jax International Airport, with hook ups. We were long term at Pecan Park "Resort" for various personal and VA medical reasons. The old management staff was relaxed and genuinely friendly, truly amicable people. Since Sun RV Resorts took over a year or so ago, the ambiance in the park changed radically; gone is the fun of rv camping, it has now become a rather hostile and paranoid environment, certainly not conducive to family or friendly interaction between fellow rv-ers, let alone those who just want to stay to themselves. Matters about daily, weekly, monthly charges and lease info and changes were vague and inconsistent, sometimes requiring multiple visits to the office to clarify. It also seemed that new rules were presented almost weekly; you couldn't do this, or, you couldn't have that. This has promoted a tattle-tale and brown noser atmosphere, as those kind of individuals gossiped and jockeyed for favoritism with the office personnel. Rumors abounded of shady and bad business practices. It's very clear that the managing and owner (not all in office) company cares very little about you. Their primary objective is shameless money making, in whatever way they can get away with. Yes, the nearby airport take off and approach traffic is very loud, almost daily, especially when the F-15 Eagles, in full afterburner, roar directly over your head. And those same fighter jets return low and slow, just beyond throwing distance, over your rig. The commercial air traffic is steady throughout the day. It can be exciting to watch, but God forbid, it's just a matter of time before a flight accident happens. Pecan Park RV "Resort" is visibly, and unashamedly, trying to become a showplace for, and cater to, expensive six figure rigs. If you are of a lower income level, it will become obvious after just a short stay. read more

This park is located between the runway and the interstate. It is incredibly noisy. Management is poor and the park is dangerous. Drivers speed through the park with little regard for guests. It is expensive and given how run down and loud it is, it is definitely overpriced. read more

Last Friday when I there the park was dirty. Had huge trash dumpster filled to top with mattress sitting besides. I understand they cut trash pick up to the residence to three times a week instead of every day. There were several Lots in the very back of the park that had not been mowed and you could tell had not been weedeated for two or three months. With all the rain we have they keep the front of the park looking nice but the back of the park looks terrible. If it weren't for some of the residents that live there the park would look worse. Some residents mow their own lots. read more

Aside from the extreme noise of jet planes approaching Jacksonville airport (right in the approach path) and the complete lack of an internet system that works, the place is clean and maintained. Sites are concrete and wide allowing for a picnic table and your chairs etc. staff is friendly. Would I return, no, no internet for a week is tough and even after complaining no action. Very nice clean and pricey park with pull through sites BUT there isn't enough room to make the turns so you have to disconnect anyway. This is very irritating. Obviously a non-RVer designed this park. Also they allow too many sheds and vehicles causing further congestion when trying to make turns out of your site. read more
