Deep down south bus

Wait time is ridiculous here. Pre-ordered through Yelp app which gave me close to a hour wait. Get there a little past LATEST arrival time and still food was not ready to pickup and go. Will not be coming here for awhile. Being black I try to support black business but this one has got to do better.

This picture does not do them any justice. These were the best ribs I have ever had.

I am so glad I found this place through Yelp. The sauce was amazing and they put a healthy amount of it on the ribs. The macaroni and cheese and the collard greens were great. For $20 a full slab with two sides you just can't go wrong.

Found this place on the Yelp app while leaving the beach. We had the Chicken meal #1 (8pieces of bbq, baked beans, Cole slaw & 4 pieces of garlic bread) cost $16.99. When I say good azz food I mean good! We will surely patronize on our next visit for sure. NOTE: Location is incorrect on Yelp it's located on the corner of Simpson street & Fowler Avenue.

This place was recommended by a co worker here in Florida. I thought it'd be a great place for Soul food. I was looking forward to being able to order chicken and waffles, yams, hush puppies, deviled eggs and catfish. Instead it was a large truck in the middle of nowhere. It's more of a hot fire barbecue than medium temperature smokehouse. The food was sorely overdone. I think cardboard is less dry. I was kind of disappointed and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. One Of two saving graces for them was the attitude. Outwardly friendly and a great comedic show of smack talking. The other grace is the heavenly cornbread and the sweet garlic fried corn. The baked beans were sweet. The collard greens had bones that I suspect were from the ham hock. I ended up throwing away most of it and was glad that it was only $15. Half my portion of $30. I really was hoping that it would have been better because it seemed like a place I'd want to come back. Guess not.

Great spot in Fort Myers for family dinner!…read more Our server Austin was great and the ambiance was nice, live music on Saturday night is always a vibe. I tried the shrimp scampi and Tuna Tutaki off the summer deal menu Tuna Tutaki is the same size as if you ordered it off the regular menu, same as the scampi huge portion. We also ordered the Grouper Oscar which was delicious if we're being picky it could of had more sauce. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was their skinny margarita and that's just based off my flavor preference. For dessert The Tower Carrot Cake is equivalent to 3 or 4 big slices, definitely shareable. The Famous Key Lime pie was also amazing but not shareable, it's smaller and so good you'll want it all to yourself! Cheers!

It was food, decent, nothing special…read more Came with my family on Valentine's Day with a reservation. They were backed so we still had to wait for a table but it was a holiday so I don't really hold that against them, just noting. Do note that most parking is valet (complimentary). My husband and I split oysters and the Captains Platter. Captains Platter was tasty but for $40+ - I think they could've given a larger portion of at least the veggie sides. Restaurants who skimp on these always blow my mind, Brussels sprouts are so cheap! What we did have was just ok. Sprouts were soggy and bitter, only a few scallops, but the fish was good. I actually liked the plantains a lot! Our server was fabulous and we did need some help from one of the managers who was also great. It is quite a loud restaurant but again it was packed. Overall, I just wasn't excited about anything we had, and thought the prices were high for the quality. With all the seafood in this area, it would be hard to return here.

His game plan was to…read morefigure out the perfect dinner spot where we could catch an epic Sanibel sunset, then still have enough time to roll over for a hallmark view of the July 4th fireworks. Mission accomplished. Lighthouse Waterfront is huge with a big dining rm on one side and another section closer to the left overlooking the outdoor deck sitting right on the water. If you're chasing sunset vibes, this deck is where it's at. We started with a dozen meaty oysters and a hot crab dip with crispy wontons to dip. For our main plates, hubs ordered the thick-cut bone-in pork chop and loved it while I went with the seasoned grilled swordfish. I had the Dubai Chocolate cocktail and I'll give them props for that pistachio rim and the dark chocolate drizzle.....that Hershey's syrup crap. The only downside was it could've packed a punch. But then again- between my recent trip to Miami/Ft Lauderdale and now Sanibel...I haven't had a drink that would know the shit out me here. No offense. Anyhow, to wrap things up, we shared a slice of key lime pie. That's basically mandatory when you're down here. It was good, but honestly, the real treat was watching that Sanibel sunset. Service was ok- I just wished our young server was more present. On the plus side, when he'd showed up, he made sure to help at any given moment. We finished dinner, headed out to the deck and soaked in every second of the sunset before making our way to catch the fireworks elsewhere.
