This is a cool little place on the square in Baraboo. My family has been coming to this place for years. They have spacious booth seating or seats at the two counters. The staff was friendly and attentive. Eric was great. The pesto chicken sandwich had great flavor. My wife enjoyed her blackened ahi tuna sandwich and my daughter enjoyed her mac and cheese. We will definitely be back when we are back in the area. Check them out!

Wonderful ambience - fast, friendly service - quality ingredients with quite a few delicious options among salads, sandwiches and pastas If I were local it'd be a tough place to avoid

We took a short detour off the freeway to head to Baraboo for lunch. I found this cute cafe. We were both looking for a fountain soda but their machine was being worked on so I opted for a nice Sauvignon blanc and husband had a bottle of coke. I chose the Greek salad for my meal. It was so good. Fresh veggies was accompanied with bread and a scoop of hummus. So good. Service was good. The place was packed even at 2:30 for lunch. Great experience.

On our recent visit to Baraboo, we had lunch at Littlw Village Cafe and found this place to be delicious and a blast from the past. The diner vibes are impeccable and you really can't go wrong with most things on the menu.

Lovely little cafe on the square in downtown Baraboo. Very pleasant staff and fun friendly vibe with the locals. Food was excellent! The soup was delicious homemade squash, highly recommend this place!

This place is so cute and the food, owners and desserts are wonderful. This has become our new go to place when we go skiing at Cascade. My husband and I have eaten here 4 times, and we have been very pleased with their specials and appetizers. I have to admit we've had the same exact dessert every time, because it's so good and it's not too heavy. We've had the lemon poppyseed cake that's warmed up in the grill, topped with mixed berries, and very rich homemade whipped cream (not from a can). I think we're going to have to make plans to come here in the summer because we enjoy the atmosphere of the place, it's amazing.

We ordered a fabulous chocolate torte for a birthday celebration. It was exceptionally good and irresistible. A hidden gem!

The food was freshly made and delicious. Try the Moroccan chicken entree! You will not be disappointed. The waiter was friendly and informative. The surroundings were quaint and fun.

    Very nostalgic decor

They have all these umbrellas over each table that have to be constantly moved around to keep you in or out of the sun and they are so large and cumbersome they keep getting hooked up on each other. Not ideal. They have another outside seating area where a band plays. That looked very inviting. We were there too early for the band but it looked like a great setup. Inside they had lots of seating which was nice to have the option on such a beautiful day. They have these three fans I think outside to help cool and keep the bugs away. They could have been turned on soon this day before the bugs had started to come out. Today we were surrounded by pizza eaters, everyone happy and smiling. Place has open seating and plenty of TVs. We went for burgers. We had heard good things about burgers, so we dipped our toes into the change pool and gave it a shot. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. Either we had the wrong day or an inattentive cook. Wifey had the regular burger with a slice of raw and fries. Burger was ordered medium, a little pink showing. I went with the Gem Burger 1/3 pound with all the trimmings - tomato, lettuce, onion, bacon and a slice of pepper jack - and an order of fries. Wifeys burger was well done, even singed black on one side and her fries looked like they were from the end of the bag. All of them were pretty much less than an inch long. My burger was similar, not medium and more on the well side, but my bun was burned. Not just toasted a little extra, I could taste the burned bread. My fries were similar. The Gem has a problem with quality control. All the pizzas that came out looked fantastic, our burgers, not so much. The kicker was the cook came out to get a look at us before the end of the meal. Just a quick look and back to the kitchen. Bottom line .... stick to pizza. I'll never go back for another burger. There are better places in town for a good burger. Recommend that non pizza orders be double checked with good quality standards before leaving the kitchen.

It's tucked just outside the main attractions, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a quieter meal among locals instead of crowds of vacationers. The atmosphere is incredibly charming. True to its name, the restaurant embraces a rustic log cabin aesthetic with beautiful carved wood furniture and décor throughout. There are carved bears in logs, wolves and eagles etched into the windows, and even taxidermy animals that give the whole place the feel of a cozy Northwoods lodge. It's one of those restaurants where you can't help but look around while you're waiting for your food. If your meal comes with a choice of bread, do yourself a favor and pick the warm cherry bread. It arrives fresh from the oven and is the perfect little sweet treat to enjoy while waiting for your entrée. I ordered the mashed potato bowl with pulled pork, bacon, cheese, corn, and gravy, along with a side of their homemade dressing. Everything was absolutely delicious. The potato bowl was hearty, comforting, and a generous portion for the price. The dressing was another pleasant surprise, especially with the cooked cranberries mixed in, which added a subtle sweetness that paired beautifully with the savory flavors. My friend ordered the homemade meatloaf and couldn't stop talking about how good it was. And whatever you do, save room for pie. We tried the coconut cream, blueberry, and cherry pies, and every single one tasted fresh and homemade. They were easily some of the best pies we've had in a long time. The prices here are extremely reasonable, especially considering the generous portions and quality of the comfort food. Between the cozy atmosphere, delicious meals, friendly service, and incredible desserts, Log Cabin Family Restaurant will absolutely be on our list every time we visit the Wisconsin Dells area. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing meal away from the tourist crowds.
