This is only about the Cape Girardeau location. I have visited many locations in other states and cities. This location has less than acceptable service. They act as though you are fortunate to have anyone arrive to take your order. In this nearly empty location you wait a long time to get any service even when you are seated at the bar. We are elderly so that may explain this. The food, when it eventually arrived was warm, at best. If you are in this town you will find many other great dining options. Avoid this one. read more

We were seated quickly and provided with a gluten free menu, however; it took far too long to get our drinks and food. The check was wrong when we finally got it and we didn't receive the special price advertised on the table board for the steak. When questioned the waiter told us that we were supposed to ask for that price when we ordered, He did reduce the price when it was requested, but left the drink charge on, which was supposed to be included. And to all that, add that my body is saying that I was glutened, makes for them leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Sorry, won't plan to return. :( read more

March 2, 2025 Dinner for 2 2:30PM Parking - Excellent Ambiance - Rustic Roadhouse is impressive. Beautiful fireplace with wonderful fire burning. I love it all. 2 16oz ribeye steaks grilled just as we had ordered plus seasoned perfectly. Ribeyes were juicy and delicious. Caesar salads are excellent and delicious. Complimentary super delicious rolls with butter are superior. Service is extremely good and very attentive. Very highly recommend this wonderful roadhouse. read more

My daughter and I were at the Cape Girardeau restaurant last week and had a terrible experience. However after writing a review of our experience, I received a phone call from the general manager who apologized personally and let me know that not only he but his boss were very disappointed to hear of our experience. They have been very kind to ask us to give them another chance to prove their restaurant can give us a better dining experience. This restaurant has a warm feel but it couldn't be further from the truth when it come to service. The server I had made me feel like I was annoying him. Should have went to Texas Roadhouse. No hamburgers, no potatoes (baked or sweet). Waitress was nice but when ordered steaks, a ribeye was ordered medium and sirloin medium well. Both came out well done. The ribeye was thin like a skirt steak and almost crispy. Attempted to eat half of the steak and then reported the discrepancy. Manager discounted the plate 50% since 1/2 was eaten, even though it wasn't prepared correctly... first I've heard of that. We spent over $150 (including the "discount"). I ordered curbside and when I asked for it to be done at a certain time the lady said " umm I guess I can do that". When I picked up my food, it was cold. The beer battered sticks I ordered looked like great value fish sticks. The fry's tasted like days old. My meal was not complete at all. Spent 60 bucks for two meals. The rolls were good. read more

Stopped in for lunch. Wanted a steak. Restaurant felt dirty. Server was ok. Steak came out whitish in color...never really seen a white cooked steak! Also the steak was prepared more rare and I asked for medium. Sweet potato fries were old and the premium mashed potatoes were dreadful! I sent the steak back for them to fix or cook a new one. They then sent the steak back well done. I asked for A-1, then they presented a A-1 bottle with a different sauce inside. You can't fool me on that for sure lol. I asked for the ticket and left. Although their quality has dropped off, since most smart people are lined up at Texas Roadhouse, we've continued to frequent this Logan's location. Well tonight we finally learned our lesson. 1st I'll tell you the best part of our experience.. my order. I decided to go with something different.... Beer battered fish, fries and a salad. Being a diabetic, I decided to splurge and have the fries. I mean come on, tomorrow is Valentine's day, why not splurge. Well the diabetic gods were looking out for me. When the fish and fries arrived, the fries were as cold and limp as the dirty dishrag they used to wipe our table off. The fish only a degree or 2 warmer and the salad...non existent. Now for my wife's order, a simple grilled chicken salad that she orders EVERY TIME WE COME HERE. They couldn't even get that right. After the 3rd attempt, she finally gave up. She would have been better off going in the kitchen and making it herself. She also ordered a beer in a bottle with a cold glass. After 15 minutes, she inquired about the aforementioned beer only to be told they were out of what she ordered. So she ordered something else...with a cold glass. Still waiting on the cold glass, maybe that's where they are keeping the fries. The only thing more non-existent than that cold glass was a manager. Do better Logan's. We came in from out of town for a wedding and wanted to try something new. It looked like a nice place and we like BBQ. Well was very disappointed. We ordered a shrimp appetizer. That was pretty good. Then we both ordered ribs & chicken strips. The ribs were dry. I found something Un Identified( purple and rubbery) in my Potatoe. My bf cheese rice side was supposed to be warm. It was not. It was cold. Lastly the chicken strips were over done. They did give us $15 off but it wasn't enough for how terrible it was. We ordered online through Door Dash and she didn't receive the full rib order we placed. I've been a longtime customer of Logan's In Lake Charles La. The food is normally good for the price and the service is good. Somewhere over the last 3 month they have changed the volume of the background music. The music is so loud it is difficult to communicate with the wait staff much less with others at the table . I 've requested for it to be turned down numerous times. The response from the manager is Corp Office requires the music to be loud and there is nothing he can do. My family went for a meal this Wednesday at Logans in Cape. I've always had a good meal here so I suggested it. This day though was vastly different. We waited for over an hour for our food, the staff stating that a large party had come in before us. When our food arrived our dishes were cold but the sides were hot. I will never go there again. We got this take out so when we made it home it was cold but take out food often is. We just put it in the oven 10-15minutes and microwaved the rolls under a damp paper towel about 40 seconds and everything was hot and crispy again. The mushrooms were very good with the horseradish sauce they sent. The rolls and butter yeasty and sweet. My daughter loves their cheeseburgers. I don't like their sirloins as they tend to be tough but this filet mignon was tender with a great flavor with very good caramel marshmallow sweet potato and fried apples. I am very disappointed. About a month ago I ordered a filet from the curbside pickup in Cape Girardeau. Spending $8 more on a steak is quite a splurge for me. When I got home the box was marked sirloin. I hoped someone marked the box wrong but as soon as I cut into it I knew it was a sirloin. I have been in restaurants for 20 years, 7 of those as a manager and I know the difference (not to mention the box even said so). I called and the manager said that he would send me a coupon or I could bring it back. My family had a signed contract with a $100 deposit for a private room and a server. Walked in- no private room we had a waitress (she was great) that had her other stations to cover as well. We talked to one manager whose response "Oh I guess we forgot to write it down haha." Even though we had received a confirmation/reminder email on December 31st. They shoved us in a back corner. Food was ok. When we were done the waitress told us that her manager said that since we did not have the 25 people we told them (a few family members were sick that morning and could not come) they were going to charge for those extra dinners. We told the waitress the story so she went and spoke with the second manager on duty and that manager said we were to be charged with only what we ordered nothing extra. IF they would have held up their part of the contract we would have paid for the extra dinners BUT since they did not - they broke the contract. We are contacting their Corporate Office. On my latest visit to this place I was very disappointed. I ordered the special for that day and it was a small sirloin steak and ribs. I ordered it medium well and when it finally came out it was very overdone. The steak was very tough although edible the ribs were far from fall off the bone. It seem to me like the ribs had been sitting under a heat lamp or In a heating pan of some sort because they were very tough. The waffle fries as a side or a cold and about the only thing that was decent were the baked beans. My previous time eating here was much better but that was two years ago at least. Not sure when the other reviewer's ate here, but I've been eating at this Logan's since it opened and have yet to be disappointed. Any small glitches that I may have encountered on a rare occasion were immediately corrected. Staff is always friendly, and service is always fast. On this last visit my husband and I each had a happy hour two for one glass of wine (good for 'normal' mass produced wine). We almost always share the tilapia, order it with a sweet potato (i get another s.potato on the side) and onion petals. Bread is hit or miss, most of the time good, sometimes it needs to be warmer. Onion petals and sweet potatoes, as well as the fish, are always spot on - very tasty and we always leave with leftovers and very full bellies! :) Hopefully you'll give Logan's a try - management visits our table almost every time we dine here, and I feel they truly care if you have an enjoyable experience. With a bill averaging $20-25, its tough to beat! Give it a go if you're in Cape - I'd pick Logan's over any other chain in the SEMO area, as well as over any 'local' restaurants. read more
