We went with my husband and our two kids & the only one who kinda liked their meal was my son because he ordered the ribs, which were covered in sauce and actually had some flavor. We ordered several different items & overall it was pretty disappointing. The only thing I truly enjoyed was the salad. The steaks were bland, my daughter's burger had no flavor & the chicken tenders and fried mushrooms tasted like plain flour with no seasoning. The mushrooms were also extremely oily. The environment: -At 1900 on Saturday, my party was told about a 10-15 minute wait, but we had been offered to sit at the bar, which we chose. We had immediate and friendly service about 30 seconds after sitting at the bar. The environment was cozy and had quiet, but audible music in the background. There were plenty of TV screens located around the restaurant. The restaurant was relatively clean for it being later in the night. The bathrooms were not the cleanest, but they smelled fresh. The menu: -The menu was clean, neat in appearance, and short and to the point. The service: -We had immediate service at the bar. The hostess was extremely friendly and pleasant to talk to talk with. We had a 20 minute wait after ordering our food. The food: -I had order the 16 OZ T Bone cooked medium rare, with green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. -The Steak was cooked somewhere in between medium and medium rare, but was relatively tasteful. 6/10. -The mashed potatoes and gravy looked unappealing. The gravy looked like pudding, but was surprisingly enjoyable. It could have used more spice. The potatoes themselves were a chunky, creamy consistency. 7/10. -The green beans came with onion slivers, but were very delectable. 6.5/10. My overall opinion: -Logan's Roadhouse has great service and slightly above average food. Went with group on November 13, 2025 around 4:30 pm. We had made reservations for group so they knew we were coming. All of group was served within acceptable time frame however our table of 6 wasn't brought our food until at least 30 minutes after rest of party, most of which by now were getting up to leave as they had finished! I love how there's an array of custom artwork on the wall showcasing the heart of Jacksonville NC. Our service was good. Aside from their roadhouse mushrooms, the food was mediocre at best. Went to dinner with friends last night. Logan's was the pick among my friends, although, I was disgusted by a dirty diaper in the parking lot. Thankfully, that's was not any signs of things to come! They have a cool case with all the cuts of beef in it for your viewing pleasure! We sat in a roomy booth that was clean. Our waitress greeted us in a very friendly manner! We were given complimentary ROLLS while we waited for our order. They were huge, soft and warm! Not to mention very yummy!! I ordered the sirloin with mashed potatoes and a side salad. I was pleasantly surprised with all of the above. However, the steak was a bit chewy, but only because of the cut I chose, I think. I was pleased with the moderate prices as well!! Don't get out of the car, just keep driving! We were seated with a view of the kitchen staging area. I'm watching the girl butter the rolls with one hand and shove one in her mouth with the other hand. Our waitress comes, she's nice, takes our order and wanders away, someone else brings our drinks, someone else brings the food. Hubby ordered a filet with loaded mashed potatoes and a salad. They serve him a sirloin, mashed potatoes smothered in mushroom gravy and his salad. He asks if these are loaded mashed potatoes, the guy says he doesn't know, says he's new but he'll send our waitress. Another waitress comes, she looks down and says, "Oh, that belongs to my table. What were you supposed to have?" He tells her, she sends someone else with a side of loaded mashed potatoes. The other two orders are correct but the steaks are so tough, they're difficult to cut with a steak knife. The salt and pepper on the steaks is so thick it's like a brisket bark. I never wanted my frozen strawberry daiquiri to end. My drink was an icy perfection with a small hint of alcohol and lots of whipped cream goodness. I would definitely come back to Logan's just to hit the bar area and grab more drinks! For the food, I had their cheeseburger which was huge and delicious. Their french fries were crispy and filling. The service was really great and I enjoyed the nice and relaxing ambience. There wasn't loud music or blaring TVs. Just good food and people enjoying each other's company. I was in the mood for a steak and I was right by here so I decided to stop. I am glad that I did. I ordered a 6pz filet and grilled shrimp skewer. It came with a wonderful salad, wild rice and broccoli. I ordered the steak rare and it was good. It wasn't the quality of a high end steakhouse, but for the price I enjoyed it. It's been a while since we've been to logans, and we needed someplace to eat. It was a later dinner for us. So we popped in. We ordered a spiked tea, so good. I had the tye dye flavor. It was too good. Also enjoyed mushrooms for an appetizer. They w we re ok. Little soggy from the deep fryer oil. I got a chicken teriyaki on a salad. It's my favorite go-to. Chicken ws cooked just right. Salad is so much I never finish it all. Waitress was pleasant. I do enjoy seeking in here every now and again. I have always enjoyed eating here although I have none done it often. My favorite thing here is salad choices.. they are pretty big. You could and probably should making them 2 servings but it's so good I can't stop eating it. I rest and finish the rest.. most likely after few sips of one of their famous roadhouse teas.. a fine assortment of adult beverages..perfect pairing on a fun girls day lunch!! Especially after a morning of shopping it is well deserved!! Lol.. oh and it comes with yeast rolls and butter.. makes my heart happy!! Stopped in here for dinner. Wait was only about 15 minutes. We immediately got drinks and food came out exactly on the 10 minute mark. The steak was absolutely perfectly cooked on the bone. My girlfriend had the chicken and rice I tried it as well and I lt was just as good. The decor is pretty cool like Texas roadhouse. They have a great deal on drinks as well for 5$ tea's. On a Saturday night in Jacksonville most of the steak restaurants are hopping and this Saturday was no different. For a payday weekend Logan's had no wait and the gentleman that greeted us was super friendly before our hostess showed us to our table. My husband and I got ribeyes "brewski style" with loaded potatoes and house salad with ranch, and my son got a hotdog kids meal with chips. The ribeyes were delicious and the brewski compound butter with onion straws and braised onions definitely made it extra flavorful, totally worth the extra $2 for "brewski style". Both loaded potatoes were steaming hot with all of the buttery cheesy goodness on top making them extra gooey and scrumptious. The house salad with ranch is always one of my favorite parts of our meal and this one did not disappoint, although it was just a tiny bit wet at the bottom due to the lettuce. And hot pillowy yeast rolls with butter?! Yes please!! Oh and definitely try the chips because they are fresh!! My only qualm about the restaurants is the wooden tables really need to be redone, from so many uses they've become very sticky. read more

Logan's is one of my favorite places to eat; however, like any meal, the staff can make or break it. Tonight my waitress was about to break that for me. It wasn't that busy for her not to be more warm and welcoming. However, after a little hiccup with my order, she did improve and came up with a resolution right away. So I'll give 3 stars to her specifically because she was able to think fast on her feet and ultimately made me happy at the end of my meal. Whoever is in the kitchen needs better training. I went there last night to pick up dinner for me and my husband. My chicken salad once I opened it consisted of 4 thinly sliced strips on a huge bed of lettuce, my husbands rib eye sandwich was on a bun soaked in grease, I also ordered the onion buds appetizer which in turn, turned out to be thinly sliced onion strings that tasted like old grease. This place was a choice between Texas and Logans for a steak. We hadn't been to a Logans in years and had a good memory?... The good was only a memory, sadly. It was really a bad visit. The manager was sitting at the bar near where we were seated in a booth. He was loudly chatting with staff members. Staff had stains on their shirts and generally looked like maybe a storm happened in the back and they didn't have time to clean up or get ready for the evening shift. Our particular waitress was friendly and helpful. My steak was cooked perfectly. In fact, my meal was fairly good, albeit very salty. I had the shrimp and filet. The house salad was really yummy, the green beans were delicious. Now. Here's where it got bad. My son's steak literally barely even had a seer on it. It was literally raw. My husband's steak was the exact same. They both chose not to say anything, but we heard the waitress at the table behind us ask that table to cut their steaks to see if they were right. Our table wasn't given that option. My husband and son don't want to complain or speak up, but watching them eat raw meat was just gross, they both only took about 4 bites and decided to bring it home to cook more on the stove. They are their sides, we paid the bill... over $100.00 for mediocre service, a lazy manager who was loud and obnoxious while we ate, and beyond rare beef. Wife and I have been ordering takeout from Logans for well over one and a half years now and during that time, I have never once gotten anything less than a 5-star meal and 5-star service. Our order is always correct, hot and on time. My Wife places the order by phone, I leave, (I live three miles from Logan's) and when I pull into the take out parking, a young man named Logan is normally walking out the door with my order. That's why I say I get 5-Star service. Logan always greets me with a smile, a friendly hello and even takes a moment to chat. He makes picking up my order a pleasure. Every single time I've gone to this place I've been disappointed. I try to understand shit happens but when it happens over and over, you don't want to give any more chances. The quality of the steaks are not worth the price. I get the ribeye and they're always so full of fat. Today I had a big ass vein all the way through my steak, surrounded by fat, lost my appetite after that shit. The 12 oz steak is really like 6 oz of meat. If I was going to choose Texas road house or Logan's steak house I would go with Texas. Don't get me wrong the steak was pretty good here but they got the order wrong I wanted a medium rare got a well done. The vibes are not even fun it's boring and dull. But my family's experience here was truly awful. Our steaks were raw, flavorless and extremely fatty. Sides were mediocre, but the drinks were decent and cheap. Waitress was nice. Oddly enough, she seemed to expect us to complain. She asked how our food was and my husband and I aren't the type to send food back so we just said we're fine, and she looked surprised. Ample, clean parking lot with spaces even for large pick up trucks to park. You are greeted immediately upon entering by friendly staff that seat you quickly. Once seated your waitress arrives with a smile and takes your drink and appetizer orders. Their selection of beverages, including alcohol, is nicely appointed. For example their tall blue moon beer is reasonably priced and comes with the signature orange slice. Next up drinks and appetizers arrive with warm, fresh, and large rolls along with ample butter cups for all. The menu varies from large salads to soups to grilled veggies to select steaks. Chicken dishes are great to. Highly recommend the grilled veggie kebabs. Also, the dessert menu is outstanding so save room for some sweets.
