The food has been come out at good temperature. Service has been prompt and helpful. Decor appears as a roadhouse but is a little outdated. The Mozzarella sticks are nothing special but okay to munch on. The bread is pretty good but could use something like a cinnamon butter served with it. Some places have terrible water when you order it, not this place! Water is a good choice for a drink as it tastes clean here. MEALS: 1. The pulled pork is decent but could use some more flavor in the meat itself. If you dunk it in the bbq sauce, it's good. The bbq sauce is more of a sour bbq than sweet. The mashed potatoes are good on their own and even better with the beef gravy with it. The baked beans are KILLER in flavor. The only downside is the jalapeños in it make it really spicy but add the flavor. Might benefit from using poblanos to back some of the heat down but keep good flavor. 2. The steak is good with some parts of the meat and some not. It lacks a good meat flavor and could replicate at home easily. It was cooked as asked for (medium well). It may have been better cooked medium or medium rare. The sweet potato is very yummy and done just right. The baked apples may be the BEST thing on the menu. So perfectly cooked and changes the whole dynamic of the food. Overall, some items are good and some items are just eh. I've seen the reviews posted over the past few months and decided to check them out for myself. First of all, when you walk in it's a nice looking place with odd and somewhat weird art painted illustrations on the wall. On to the food and experience. I ordered the bread battered chicken tenders and the roadies sliders (fasting for 24 hours...so I've got a big appetite) my sides were broccoli, waffle fries and coleslaw. The tenders were okay but the waffle fries were old and unfortunately I had to tell the server. I hate "complaining"...but I honestly could not eat them. The sliders looked good but when I ate them the more they began to taste like boiled Pattie's. Now to be fair, I actually like boiled burger Pattie's...reminds me of the theme park food. I was not expecting that here so it took me back a bit. The broccoli was dry so after one bite I forgot they were even there. On to the good...my server was great and connected with me with jokes etc. She even had the cooks make me some fresh waffle fries that she brought out to me with a smile. That was a plus for my experience with her. Overall, the staff seemed pleasant and caring. Unfortunately the food really makes this review unbalanced. Would I got back again?? We consistently love Logan's in Midland! My most recent order was a take out and it was 80% perfect. This may not sound great, but I would usually give them a 100% and I was impressed that they went above and beyond to fix the somewhat minor issues that I contacted them about. I've always said they have the best ribs in town; and this is a town with 3 or more great BBQ rib joints. I plan to revisit the Midland Logan's as frequently as possible! read more

We can't review the food because we waited over an hour for food. The service was terrible!! We have come here regularly for years and never had any complaints. This time we arrived at approximately 7pm, we were advised shortly after being seated, by our waiter, he would be with us shortly, nice! Unfortunately 10 minutes later he came took our drink order, a coke & a beer. Then 20 minutes passed, I stopped him & asked about our drink order, " I don't know what's taking that beer so long?", I said the soda?, oh yeah?? He brought the coke!! We then said we wanted to order, order given, so we have already been here 1/2 hour & still my husbands beer hadn't been delivered. Approximately 5 minutes later the beer arrived & waiter came back & reviewed our food order. Oh, also, it was very cold and my husband asked if the air conditioning could be turned down, when we first arrived, people all around us were mentioning how cold it was also. Nothing changed, we stopped our waiter and asked again about the cold temperature. Shortly afterwards, the manager came out & agreed that the air was blowing on my husband & moved us over to another booth, he said " it's hot in the kitchen & we need to keep it running ". So by now it's 8 pm, I asked the manager about our food, we have been here 1 hour, still don't have our food, he said he would go check on it. He never returned!!! We waited another 10 minutes, still no food!!! We got up and decided to leave, as we were leaving, our waiter FINALLY arrived with our food!! We said no thank you. By far the worst experience I have ever had . The salad came before our drinks and appetizers and the appetizers were cold. Then waited an hour and 29 minutes for the meal. The waiter kept coming out and telling us he could see our food but they we're still working on the sides. Then when it did come out there were no sides and the steaks were cold and way over done. The manager came over and said it was too bad and he was sorry . Had to tell him three times that we were not paying and he finally agreed reluctantly. we ate none of it . Tommy, our waiter, was excellent. The problem was the quality of the food. Our dinner partners each sent their steaks back as each was not as ordered. The wait was extremely long only to get new steaks for each. One was prepared correctly and the other was exactly as the first. There was an offer to cook a third one but it was declined and the manager consented that the meal be taken off the bill. In my opinion this might be the next restraunt to close in Midland. The place was basically empty which doesn't explain the poor service. Our food, once served, wasn't very warm. One in our party had to send their pork plate back as it was cold. My salad was ok other than being prepreped and refrigerated which makes the tomatoes tasteless. My spouses blackened chicken with rice was terrible. It had no taste let alone blackened and barely a spoonful of rice hidden under the chicken. The last straw was the men's bathroom. I stopped here with my mother after an appointment in Midland. My suggestion is eat the fantastic dinner rolls then leave. My chopped steak was average plus I found a hair in it towards the end. Steak tips were inedible and sent back for a pork chop. The BBQ pork chop was tender but the was missing the cheese and onion that was supposed to be on top. I'm a fan of Logan's Roadhouse - though I have only been to this location. Working on a project in Midland, MI for a few months there are only so many places to get to for dinner, so I ended up eating at this Logan's a number of times. The ribs are good and the co-worker I went with would rave about the filet/lobster tail combo that he would always get. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich is kind of ehhh, so I'd stick to the more traditional BBQ type food. Also, make sure to save room for dessert because the southern style banana cream pie is absolutely fantastic. read more

The cheese wasn't melted and the potatoes seemed dry like they were microwaved. The worst part, I bit into my second to last one when I bit into a rock. The size of a pea but a clearly defined rock. I told my server about it. She took it to the back, and said she told a manager. I didn't see her again until she came for the check. They were obviously busy (Valentines) but were completing the tickets out of order. Some people waited over an hour (at least three of us) and others had promised times after ours that got their food within minutes of their arrival. Online order times are inaccurate. Was able to be seated right away but then waited 40 minutes to get our food with only 10 other patrons in the restaurant. My stake was so tough I couldn't chew it. My husband got the burger and couldn't even bite threw the bun and my sister-in-law got the ribs and they were cold and dried out. I have eaten at Logan's in Saginaw and have never had these issues. When the waitress asked how was our food she was rude about it. I may eat at another Logan's but never at this one again. read more

I gazed upon the diverse menu - eager as a fisherman who surveys the sea ahead of him as he rows the mighty oars of his fishing boat awaiting a day's haul of crustaceans. Boy oh boy, this is going to be a difficult choice to make thanks to so many quality options. With that being said, let's start with the bread. I sat in amazement - feeling like a child who had just awoken on Christmas morn to the sight of a room full of presents - as my table was filled with a basket of bread. This wasn't just any old bread from the corner grocery, mind you. I'm talking a bread that was buttery. A bread that was fluffy. A bread that was warm and inviting. A bread that made me believe that we can still move forward and progress as an American people. My faith in humanity being restored, I then proceeded to explore the non-alcoholic beverage portion of the menu. This was perhaps the most difficult decision I have made in the last 4 years of my life, because I was graced with a menu that balanced both elegance and tradition. Do I order a one-of-a-kind burger? Or perhaps an appetizer pallet that consolidates all that I know and love about the nationwide phenomenon known as "apps"? No. After much deliberation, my heart found its way to the moonshine popcorn shrimp. I coupled this potentially earth-shattering entrée with the consistency of a side that has never failed me in the past - the sweet potato. Time played its course in passing, until my destiny was fulfilled and my food was brought out. Hot and zesty with a hint of a smell that told my nose "Scott, it's time! Let go of everything you thought you knew about a dinner experience, because it's time to rewrite history!" Little did I know that a completely unexpected bonus - homemade potato chips - were finely placed among the main course of my plate. I dove in here first, before navigating my way over to grab a taste of the buttery sweet potato. This potato - delish. I needed a moment to collect my thoughts and thank our great Creator for blessing me with such a profound experience that left my taste buds somewhat satisfied, yet still craving more. This is where the popcorn shrimp came in. Tender. Juicy. Exquisite. And just the perfect portion for my little-engine-that-could stomach to feel full while still allowing me lefties for a rag-tag dinner at the apartment tomorrow. The food was delicious and timely, the service was friendly and upbeat, and I stared into perhaps the most beautiful two eyes I've ever seen from the girl sitting across the table from me. Will I eat here again? That - my friend - is an inference, because the future has a tendency to be unknown. As Linkin Park once said: "Time is a valuable thing. Logan is a restaurant serving food similar to many chain restaurants in midland such as bennigans, damons, and apple bees. logan is above average compare to these other restaurants. Rolls are soft and warm (buttery on top though, some might not like the grease). All you can eat peanuts, great munching while waiting in line and while waiting for food. Feel free to throw shells on the ground they are everywhere on the floor. Like there pick three appetizers, also their wings appetizer are quite good. Entrees are not bad and portions are large. they don't really take reservations but you can call ahead and they will either put your name in line or you are the next person get seated when arrive (should call to find out). read more
