Always enjoyed my steak here and the service but the last 2 times here, my friend had to inquire about the toasted jalapeño cheddar bread and why it was not included in his slow and smoked platter he ordered? Below I posted a copy of the menu item & description and it does not state that the toast only comes with the brisket. We read over the menu a few times but the staff said otherwise. They did accommodate him by giving him the toast the first time but last night, they gave him a plain white piece of toasted white bread insisting that it was the jalapeño toast - really??? Used to be a place that I loved but upon coming back after a long while, it's nowhere near the food, wait staff, or cleanliness quality that it used to be. I ordered their signature steak, "The Logan". It's a 12oz sirloin. Got it with waffle fries and corn. Steak was rubbery and lukewarm, corn was hard, only good thing was the fries. Girlfriend's meal was similar to mine in quality, with the added bonus of a hair. Service was extremely slow as well; took about two hours for a table for two, and the restaurant had about 3 occupied tables. Don't bother coming here to spend your time and money, I certainly won't be in the future. read more

Logan is a restaurant serving food similar to many chain restaurants in midland such as bennigans, damons, and apple bees. logan is above average compare to these other restaurants. Rolls are soft and warm (buttery on top though, some might not like the grease). All you can eat peanuts, great munching while waiting in line and while waiting for food. Feel free to throw shells on the ground they are everywhere on the floor. Like there pick three appetizers, also their wings appetizer are quite good. Entrees are not bad and portions are large. they don't really take reservations but you can call ahead and they will either put your name in line or you are the next person get seated when arrive (should call to find out). read more

In a word a dump. Stopped going there after the last waiter actually argued with my wife over medium rare and what that looks like. Steaks were always hit or miss (tough or tender prepared or who gives a cra.) and they seem to hire people who hate people. Go elsewhere if you want a better sit down experience. read more

The prices are great - especially for a steakhouse. When I came, I had a $20 dollar gift certificate, and since I came alone, had a hard time finding something over that price. The service fast and friendly. In fact, almost too fast, hadn't quite finished my salad before my Steak and Crab Legs were brought to my table. The steak was cooked just like I ordered it "as rare as legally possible". It had a great smoked-grill taste as well. The crab legs were good (not really anything special you can do with them really). This side of broccoli was good too. Most places seem to have "steamed broccoli" which seems to drain any flavor. These, however, we're steamed and seasoned to keep their flavor while not being over-flavored by the spices. A perfect 3 stars. I visited this Logan's for lunch on a Monday with my bf. There were only two other customers in the restaurant. The service was average. Not fantastic but not terrible. We both got sampler platters. Again, pretty average. I didn't like how small our table was at the booth. It was super cluttered. The food was typical chain-style food. I probably wouldn't recommend my friends visiting because I think there are better restaurants in Midland. read more

Our new waitress made an error in our order... the real problem is that the manager/supervisor did not come to her aide by stopping by our table to ask how our visit was...instead he totally avoided us throughout our visit.... obviously aware that we had a problem with our order. My wife really liked this restaurant, she had the "Hammies" I think, some small pork sandwiches- I had the Fried Chicken tenders. The rolls were great, my food was fine but my wife really liked hers. Prices were decent. The only complaint I guess is that the whole time we were there the servers were exchanging cash/tips with each other out in the open- trading big bills for small bills and such, maybe that's normal in this part of the country- not sure. If stuck in the Midland Hampton again, I would choose this over the other restaurants within walking distance. (Benegans, Applebees, Ruby Tuesdays) read more

Service was good mostly but 2/3 of the salads came with the wrong dressing and even after checking back because he forgot, the waiter brought me the wrong beer. We have been to various Logans all over the country, however at this location we have never been treated to such a rude staff and management in our lives. It started off right when we came in. There was, what we were told was a 10 minute wait. We gave our name and sat down to wait. We sat there and after 15 minutes and watching people go in that came in after us we went to the host stand to inquire, only to be told, "oh I'm sorry, we didn't put your name on the list." So or name went down and we were say very soon after that. We came in and ordered the sirloin steak. We ordered it MEDIUM RARE. The server repeated the order back as MEDIUM WELL. I corrected her and it was repeated back correctly. When the steak arrived it was clearly completely WELL DONE. we then requested to speak to management. When he arrived we told him what happened and he said we needed to relax, it's Christmas. So in the eyes of management, Christmas is a time to not give the guests in his establishment a service that they are paying for. It's a time to treat guest like dirt, because your staff, either the server or the cooks, don't know how to do their job properly. We will continue to go to Logans. Ordered an 11 ounce sirloin medium with a side of ribs and cinnamon apples. So far the apples are the best thing. Ribs are just ok. I wouldn't get them again. My first steak was inedible. Well done and hard to even cut through. Potato was hard around the outside. Steak number 2 was at least hot and juicy but was still not medium by any means. The steak would be what I would expect from like an Applebee's or Chili's. I had somewhat higher expectations from a steak place. Logan's is not up to par with its contemporaries like Teas Roadhouse or even outback. The only way I would eat here again is if it were free or I was just stuck and without choices. When i lived in Midland we tried here three times. The first right after it opened and it was not bad. Cute with the peanuts though should have been a bit careful if nut allergy of grabby kids came in. Anyways was cute and alright food for the first go. Second time my steak and sweetpotato was burnt and we didnt get and bread. Third time food was cold had to re fire it before could eat it. Got better bbq now this place is ok for yuppies. read more

NOT A RESPECTABLE ESTABLISHMENT. My boyfriend took our son and I here and it was horrible. I had never been to a Logan's Roadhouse before and will never go back. It was freezing in there. Also, our waiter was one of the rudest people I have ever met. They cooked my boyfriends steak wrong, and complained TO US that they didn't want to make him a new one. I had a terrible experience one time there -- the person who was delivering our dinner (NOT the same as the one who took our order) was flagged down by another party that took our food! The management tried to laugh it off and say they weren't responsible. Eventually they gave us a free meal. BUT -- even when there isn't such a strange service experience, the staff always seem more interested in chatting with each other than in serving the customer. Best Service Ever! Carrie at Logan's steak house is one of the Best servers I have ever encountered. I travel quite a bit and eat out at many restaurants. For a chain the meal was fabulous...good appetizers, excellent drinks, steaks cooked to perfection, home made salads dressings. Kids loved the fried pickles! We really like the steak here, I am not sure why others are complaining, although I suspect it is the atomosphere. I've not had a bad meal here in about 5 trips, including two with vendors. My boys love throwing the peanut shells on the floor before dinner. I suspect the atmosphere (as evidenced by the peanut shells) is what turns off some of the folks in Midland. However, I am not a gourmet and I care a lot more about what my food tastes like than the rustic atmosphere.Frankly the other dining options in this town don't really blow me away, so we will be coming back. read more

I've ate here over the years from the time it originally opened. It is alright on it's best nights. I've been served everything from delicious food to chicken that was so raw it looked like it came out of the fridge and onto the plate. The servers obviously don't get along as they tell me almost every time we are there and not to mention they are lazy. When I have to start stacking plates on my table to be able to have room for my entree and the server won't pick them up, that's just nasty to have to eat dinner with a stack of dirty dishes in front of your meals. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I had two terrible experiences prior to my recent visit and I decided I would give it one more try. After asking for medium well steak on two visits in a row, both steaks came out rare, and upon asking to cook it more, they just tossed it in the microwave and made it so leathery that I couldn't even cut it. When calling the manager over, he offered me a free baked potato, on top of the baked potato that I had already got with my meal.... So yesterday I ordered a salad for curbside at 11:00am to be picked up at 12:15pm, when I arrived the lady couldn't find it at first and then brought it out to me once she did. When I opened up the container, all the salad and toppings were pushed to one side like it had been tossed in the trash and not to mention my steak was cold. It was as if they made it right away and then tossed it before my scheduled pick up time, pulled it out of the trash and gave it to me. After halfway eating it, I found a hair three inches long and I finally just through it away in disgust. $16.00 for a salad and I ended up pitching half of it, and going somewhere else which I should have just done in the first place. I got the steak and all you can eat shrimp that has been advertised on TV. Salad was cold, and french dressing was good. Steak was cooked appropriately, and seasoned well. Fried coastal shrimp were better than the grilled shrimp. Grilled shrimp were smaller, and shell was stuck to them and hard to get off. Waitress was good, and attentive. Normal steak chain type food, but it was cooked well. For our family of 4, the bill was very reasonable for the food we got. I would definitely go back. read more

My friend and I have given up on Logan's. It was subpar 10 years ago, and after a revisit last Saturday (Roseville, MI), it's now deemed even worse. Server was average with complaint about it being too busy... Really? When I was a server I couldn't be happier to have it be busy... Time files and money rolls in. House salad was plain romaine with some croutons thrown in. The sweet potato was rather small and the ribeye steak (not cheap) at med-rare was fatty-chewy, not fatty-flavorful. Never again! Both of us have sworn it off forever. I will always go with my initial inclination to visit Texas Roadhouse in the future if visiting a steak chain; they have quality meals with attention to detail in the same price range. read more

Went for lunch great sports atmosphere they had an NFL game on which was a plus for me.I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and a side of broccoli meal was good but a little on the salty side.
