I love that they carry all the "heavier" Christian books that stores like Lifeway won't stock.

Such a cute shop to browse for unique gifts. They have a wide variety of items, from baby gifts and…read moreapparel to kitchenware, home décor, and books. I didn't have enough time to look through everything, but it's the kind of place where you can easily find something special. Some of the items were a bit pricey, but there were plenty of unique finds that would make great gifts. If you're visiting Nashville and need to pick up a gift, or just want to do a little shopping, this spot is well worth a stop.

The Store That Sells Everything You Didn't Know You Wanted…read more I was wandering down what I think is called 12th Street in Nashville -- that trendy stretch where even the sidewalks feel cooler than me -- and I stumbled into White's Mercantile. This place is like if a country singer, an interior designer, and an old general store all decided to start a lifestyle brand together. It's packed with everything from candles that smell like wealth and nostalgia, to mugs that make you question your current kitchen aesthetic. There's leather, linen, and probably something made from reclaimed barn wood -- all tastefully arranged to make you wish your house looked like this. After exploring all the treasures and fighting the urge to buy things I couldn't pronounce, I did what any sensible shopper would do: I bought a book. Because clearly, I'm a minimalist at heart... just one browsing session away from becoming a home décor influencer. Final Verdict: White's Mercantile is dangerously charming -- the kind of store that makes you believe you need artisanal coasters and $40 soap.

I have never registered here, as I've never been engaged, but sometimes wonder why that should stop…read moreme? Think they'd let me register for my birthday?! I'm only half kidding. This place has gorgeous things! As the other reviews state, it's locally owned, and the Richter sisters (who run the shop) are fabulous. They have beautiful china, jewelry, and other gift options for brides to babies. Everyone I know who has been, or is, engaged, and has a Nashville connection, registers at Corzine's. It's my first stop when shopping for a wedding gift as well. They are online now too which makes it super easy! I still like to go in the store whenever possible though. Service is impeccable, merchandise beautiful, and the whole shop is divine. I highly recommend it for gift shopping--and from the previous reviews, gift registry. Shop local!

They are absolutely wonderful and will do everything they can to make sure you are happy. I did most of my wedding registry here, as do most Nashville people I know, and love all the beautiful and unique pieces I chose. Samantha and Ashley Richter are great, as is Jill who helped my mother and I the last couple of times we visited. I live in New York City, so I have to have things shipped, which they are happy to do. Also, I don't make it into town often, and they are very flexible about exchanges. You get a year to exchange and use all your credit from the date of your wedding. Unlike other neighboring registry spots, they didn't bat an eyelash when I returned two items in May 2008 (a month before the deadline). I totally recommend them for your registry!

I will start by saying that I hate to write bad reviews, but I don't want anyone else to experience…read morewhat I did. I went into this shop on a Friday morning in desperate search of Bridal Shower Invitations. I needed them prepared as quick as possible so that I could get them sent out. I talked to the girl who was working there who showed me some options. We narrowed it down and she took down all of the information and told me that I would have a proof via email by that evening or Monday at the latest. I reminded her again that I was in a hurry to get them and she said they could get them done quickly, no problem. She also told me that they would cost about $2 - $2.25 each, which was perfect. I didn't hear from anyone so first thing Tuesday morning, I called and left a message. Layne returned my phone call and told me that the owner had tried to email me and had the wrong email address. (Hard to believe since I saw her write it down on Friday and they had my phone number as well...). She gave me the new quote for the invites which was now over $4 each- almost double what I was originally told. She asked for my approval to move ahead and CREATE a proof.... they hadn't even started. So, not only did everything about our original discussion change, but they had put me behind by almost 5 additional days. Luckily, I was able to get great invites on weddingpaperdivas.com and pay a rush fee to get them quickly. The sad thing is, the shop is very cute! I am in the period of life where I have all sorts of showers, parties, etc and I'm always in need of invites. However, I will take my business elsewhere and encourage my friends to do the same. They don't seem concerned about their customers or making right on their promises. I wasn't even offered an apology! Oh, and I got an email right after my phone conversation with Layne so I guess they did have my correct email address... Don't waste your time here.
