I had 3 pants hemmed (1 knit, 1 denim and 1 crepette material) and all were perfect! She did an amazing job! If you don't know the length you need, there is a dressing area where you can try the pants on and she'll measure and pin the length for you. After dropping them off it took about a week to get done. I kept the original hem for my jeans so that added a little more to the cost. If you don't mind not having the original hem then it would be cheaper. Highly recommend! read more

I've come to Lois before about 4 years ago to fix a button on a pair of jeans and now recently had her hem a pair of Abercrombie flare jeans that were just too long for me (for reference, I'm 5'1"). Happy to report that everything is perfect! She measured me before I dropped it off and you have a choice of just a regular hem ($15) or a hem in the same style as the pant (my quote = $25). We used Lois for alteration of the pants for a woman's wedding coat/pants that we had purchased from macys. We needed to make the pants shorter. Pros: Responsive, on time, clean, organized, polite. Cons: Inside the hem was not cut really straight, which was fine, if I was not in hurry i would take it in again to make sure its done correctly inside and out. The price that was quoted to us on yelp was different than what we ended up paying since she said the pants material (nylon) makes it more expensive (but she told this to us before she starts the work, when we wanted to drop off the pants and we agreed. read more

I had an emergency fix and Lois responded via Yelp message very quick. She was able to do a same day fix for a very decent price and I can't even tell anything was wrong! She works out of a residential area so that took me a little bit to find, but there's plenty of street parking.
