I took my wedding dress for alterations. He did a fantastic job for a very reasonable price, he shortened the dress, took it in, and added a bustle.

Just 3 days before a wedding in France I had to get a last minute dress from the mall that was way too long for me. I was so worried about finding a tailor that could help in such a short time frame but he assured me he could get my family's 3 dresses squared away in 2 days with no added rush fee. He was super helpful and hemmed our dresses perfectly! Will definitely be back here for all my future events :)

If they don't answer the phone, just leave a message because they focus all of their attention on providing nothing less than personal, professional perfectionism. When it's your turn, they won't walk away to answer the phone. It's a process, similar to once an artist begins painting. My phone calls have always been returned promptly. A master at his craft, the man who has helped us (and who I suspect is the owner) begins to examine the garment and I can see the decision making start to happen as he marks, pins, and confirms his suggestions with our daughter. I appreciate having high quality flawless tailoring, along with calm and friendly service. They make a beautiful dress even better. The shop is a bit small, so try not to bring extra humans if possible. Despite the smaller size, there is an impressive selection of men's sports jackets , suits, and designer shoes.

Abdul is amazing, such attention to detail and he really listens to your vision and what you want. His prices are very fair and his craftsmanship is excellent. For my wedding dress he altered the length, took the dress in quite a bit, adjusted the cup as well as added padding to help me out and added a bustle which was difficult because of how heavy the fabric was but he did it beautifully! I highly recommend Essy's. I'll be going back soon to have a couple bridesmaids dresses altered.

1 of 2 messed up dresses. Crooked poorly tailored sleeve that I have to fix elsewhere.

Super disappointed. I've been coming here off and on for over 10 years, I've loved the place and recommended it to others. However after my most recent experience, I believe it was my last time at this place. I came in a few weeks ago with men's clothes and two dresses to be altered. When I first came in it was mid April, I picked up early May. I don't care what time of year it is or that it's prom season, all customers should get great quality tailoring at all times. I ended up with 3! dresses that were done poorly. The first dress, I had to literally buy a new one because the sleeves had been butchered so badly. I had specific requests about how to close the front, but a huge running stitch was put down the front, which looked like a person who can't sew would do. Then the sleeves were cut easily two inches shorter than agreed and were done crooked and so sloppily I was stunned anyone would pay for that quality of work, more shocked they would give it back to me like that and think I would pay. I ran out to look for a replacement and when I brought the replacement back in with specific instructions then back to pick up two days later... again they didn't listen. It was amateur sloppy work again. I had to wait while they fixed the center of the dress, thankfully this was a mistake that could actually be fixed and not cut butchered sleeves this time. Of course they comped the alterations, but I'm out money buying two dresses, which obviously cost more than alterations. The totally separate dress I brought in to have the sleeves also altered, at first glance and quick try on at the store felt right and looked good. Came home and wore it out and kept feeling the sleeves were off. Laid it flat to see that this dress too was done poorly and very amateur. Very sloppy and totally amateur looking work. This is not the quality of work I've come to expect from this place, but the fact that 3 dresses were all messed up and now I'm going to have to take this dress to a new tailor now to fix what they messed up, I'm simply disappointed and assuming this is what I can expect from now on from this place. Whoever they have doing clothes now, doing women's clothes specifically, is not skilled. Less than a week from the wedding the men's clothing and my replacement dress are for, I'm concerned I'll find more problems day of, but it's too late now. I'm out almost $100 because of the damage to the first dress plus the second one I now have to fix. I was lucky as he*l to be able to replace the first dress. Imagine I had to start from scratch a week before traveling! Being so petite, most formal wear off the rack needs to be altered. It was just such a headache. I'm 34 and have been coming here since I was in high school for random things over the years and I'm just sad I don't plan to come back. I'm unsure how or if I can post multiple photos, so I took a picture of one of the dresses that the sleeves were messed up on. Crooked, one side shorter than the other and this sleeve is shorter than the other side. I didn't make a fuss in the store. Screaming and yelling doesn't help. It's obvious the poor quality of work, or was very clear I was not happy. I simply will look for a new tailor. Sad and disappointed but on top a new place. To anyone considering Essy's, I would think twice until they figure out how to raise their standards again.

2022 is the Pandemic breakout year. Weddings that have been postponed for two years are all being scheduled. My suits are beyond snug, so turned to Yelp to find a mens tailor. Essy's located in the large business and retail complex at the corner of Stoneridge and Hopyard in Pleasanton. There a only a few real mens tailors around, most are dry cleaners that do alterations. Got fitted and measured quick and came back in a week to pick up. My years of corporate employment are in the past and keeping up with mens fashion is done. My suits fit perfectly now.

I HIGHLY recommend Essy! He did an amazing job on my wedding gown. My husband also had his suit altered here. He pays attention to detail and is meticulous.

After sitting us down, she asked me some questions to get a better feel for the type of dress that I was looking for. Honestly, I had a wide range of silhouettes and designs that I was interested in and she never once judged me for it. I showed her photos of dresses that I found on their website and she was able to pull almost all of them, which was great! She practically knew exactly where each one was on the rack and immediately went to collect all the dresses to try on. Eventually after trying on all the dresses (anything from a simple and classy organza gown to a full princess ball gown), she pulled out a dress that she thought I might like. We shared a laugh over the fact that I had just tried the same dress on at the store I went to earlier that morning. Honestly became my fav out of all the dresses I tried on that day. She helped to put on a veil and handed me a bouquet so that I could get a better idea of how it would look on the big day. With all the hustle and bustle, I ended up going overtime on my appointment, but Jenn continued to help and never rushed me. In total, I think we tried on around 16 gowns that day. Although I didn't end up saying yes to a dress at J'aime, I'm so glad I went there. Jenn was truly such a joy to work with. Even though I'd never met her before, she felt like a best friend throughout the entire appointment. Literally your own personal hype girl that'll fill your appointment with smiles, laughs, and giggles. Honorable mentions: ~ After trying on all the inspo gowns, Jenn let me walk through the rest of the dresses on the rack to see if there was anything that interested me. ~ Taylor Swift was playing in the background during my appointment, which I loved, but she said that if you have a specific song in mind for your "say yes to the dress" moment, you can request it. ~ Appointments are free on the weekdays

Since she has paid the $25 on line for the 1.5 hour appointment, we showed up at Janine bridal today at 10 am on a Saturday morning . We arrived 3 minutes before 10 am . Two Caucasian ladies walked in ahead of us. There were two older female staffs inside . One with blonde hair and the other taller lady staff has dark brown hair . The blonde hair lady looked at us , did not smile, did not say welcome to Jaime bridal , or good morning. They helped the two Caucasian ladies ahead of us . The front counter was left with a younger Asian female staff . Her name is Christina. She worked part time there and she was our stylist for this appointment . Christina is very sweet , patient and helpful. After she knew that was our first time looking at the wedding gowns, she gave us a 5 minutes introduction of the gowns and the basis set up of the bridal shop . Then we looked around and pulled 6 dresses to try . Christian helped to fix each gown and made suggestions like how to tailor it to make it look nicer on the bride -to- be . After one hour of try and error , we narrowed down to two wedding gowns that we love . Christina wrote done all the details , gave us a small card for the information. Then she mentioned the trunk show coming up at the end of January 2026 . But we are obligated to buy a wedding gown if we attend the trunk show . Today is January 3, 2026 Saturday. We would have a bad experience about Jaime Bridal from the way the other lady talked to my family member with the bitchy attitudes. Thanks to Christian , these have all changed . Customer service is the primary focus on retailer business . I am not sure how this could have been misinterpreted.

JC Bridal Boutique is definitely a gem!! Thank you Jessica!

I would like to start by saying Krystle is AMAZING. This was my second place trying on dresses and…read moreshe made me feel so comfortable. I went on a Wednesday at opening and there was no one else trying to dresses for majority of the time I was there. She was kind enough to spend so much time with my mom and I, I never felt rushed. Krystle also does wedding planning outside of working there, so she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with any questions I had. Honestly I would go back just because of her, she was that awesome! Overall, my experience at Wedding and Dreams was a good one. I found my dress off the rack (which was around $1000), and it worked out since my wedding is only a month away.

It was an absolute dream that I found my wedding dress here!…read more My sister set up an appointment for me to try on dresses and my cousin, my mom, and one of my best friend came with us. Immediately when we arrived I loved how secure the place was, they only do one appointment at a time, not too much going on you pretty much have the whole place to yourself which made it seem so personal and that important to me. Our wedding dress designer consultant was Virginia and she totally knew what she was doing!!! I loved the dress she picked, initially she picked 2 dresses and one of them ended up being THE dress. I picked out about 3 different ones and tried them on but nothing compared to the first one I tried on. The tears were flowing and it was such a special moment for all of us. The quality of the dress and the way it sparkled was what caught everyone's attention. The transaction was smooth and seamless, everything is final sale of course and they do offer aftercare packages and have recommendations for alterations. I would recommend going here even if you're not from the area bc trust me when I say, it's is worth visiting.
