Serious horse players go to the "Room" - it's next to the Chandelier room. Used to be called the Sports Book but now it's just unnamed. The clubhouse side has outdoors table seating just past the finish line. Plenty of bars and food venues throughout for those so like to walk around and visit the paddock and walking ring. Peacocks walking around. An experience I will cherish for ever. On race day, there were rides, food, beer, and just a good vibe that would make anyone come back again. Sure it was hot! The computers aren't the fastest with a crazy gpu or cpu but they are good enough to run most games. The games i've played is LoL, TFT and Valorant all of which had no problem. The prices are very reasonable as well. The inside is clean and the bathroom. They are cool with letting you bring boba in which is cool because they have two boba places in the same plaza. Good community of gamers each time i've been which is nice because sometimes the crowd can ruin the experience. Parking is never an issue either.

During the movie, we…read moreasked our server about it at least five times, and every time we were told it was "coming." I finally went out to talk to a manager, and she told me it hadn't even been made because there wasn't a server available to grab it. I was confused because it's just an ICEE. Then she asked if I still wanted it. I said yes--that's why I had to leave the movie to come find someone. She asked for my seat number so someone could bring it, but I told her I'd just wait there since I'd already been waiting almost two hours. As soon as she radioed it in, it showed up in about two minutes (I guess it really wasn't that hard to make). What really bothered me was that there wasn't even an apology from the manager--just excuse after excuse. If it really takes almost two hours to get an ICEE because no one is available to bring it out, then maybe you shouldn't be charging a mandatory 18% service fee. What exactly was the service I was paying for? We had to ask multiple times, I had to leave the movie to find a manager, and I brought the drink inside myself. What a joke.

SEATS: Leather recliners that are pretty worn. Do not reach into the crevices of your seat :( SOUND: There's often sound bleeding in from other theaters. I've experienced this elsewhere, so maybe it's a matter of more mindful programming? Like don't screen a loud Marvel movie at the same time as a quiet romantic comedy next door. Or maybe it really is bad design. FOOD: You can order from your seat by calling over a server, or you can order through your phone. On separate occasions I've ordered popcorn, burgers, nachos, fries, pretzels- I basically tried to work my way through the menu. It's hit-or-miss. 80% of the time the cheese has crust on it like the food has been sitting under the warming lamp for a while. Other times the food is entirely cold *shrugs*. More than once (one time too many) my order was never delivered to my seat at all. Thankfully, the staff was able to refund me after the movie in those instances where my food was forgotten. It's convenient because it's local. Admission prices are competitive with other chains like AMC and Regal. It feels like a different experience from when it was Studio Movie Grill.

We stopped by the café for a cooling off break and to get something to eat. On Mondays the grill goes dark and they only sell pre-made food. I found it to be overly priced. They state no food allowed, but I brought in my own snacks. We also stopped by the gift shop which had some unique items. I'll definitely be back in the spring or fall when the weather is cooler and more plants are in bloom.

Monrovia is actually one of the older cities in Los Angeles County, founded in the late 1800s and known for its charming Old Town and foothill setting. The Monrovia Historical Museum was very impressive--packed with history about the city. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and you can easily spend a good amount of time here learning about Monrovia's early days, including its development, transportation (like the old rail systems), architecture, and everyday life back then. There are a lot of interesting artifacts, photos, and exhibits that really bring the city's past to life. It gave me a whole new appreciation for a place I've lived in for so long.
