I don't come here too often but when i do its always a great experience. Each of the workers have always been very friendly and accommodating. They were very patient with helping me out each time. The last time i was here i brought my younger cousins to play Valorant, that's all they wanna do when they come to visit, which i get lol, i kinda miss those days. The computers aren't the fastest with a crazy gpu or cpu but they are good enough to run most games. The games i've played is LoL, TFT and Valorant all of which had no problem. The prices are very reasonable as well. The inside is clean and the bathroom. They are cool with letting you bring boba in which is cool because they have two boba places in the same plaza. Good community of gamers each time i've been which is nice because sometimes the crowd can ruin the experience. Parking is never an issue either. read more

OMG SOOOOO FUN!!! Went with my four kids (27, 22, 18 and 17) and played the SQUID GAE! BEST TIME EVER!!! Wish the room was a big bigger because us five were like sardines. Not sure how they get six in there. BUT! We played as individuals, buddies and a team as part of the game. GREAT bonding time! They even have water, soda and adult beverages that the game pauses in the middle for to give you the opportunity to order and they bring it to you!! read more

Do not recommend. I'm used to playing on 60 ping or higher because that's the minimum in Hawaii, so I thought it would be great playing at 10-15 ping for once at a pc cafe. But the computers weren't very good, 12 ping but it felt like I was lagging every other second and freezing. It was very bad. The headsets also take way too much to get working. (They also leave the doors open and it was very cold outside, so I didn't enjoy that). read more

Smells musky AS HELL. It smells like teenage boy. They don't clean in between people using the computers. When playing Valorant, you don't lag bc of internet... you lag bc the pc is outdated and it sucks. The headphones are shit and you can't tell what's coming from where. Hours are false on yelp it says open till 12am came at 10:15 doors locked no one there (Saturday as well)

Price is affordable and there's a good amount of seating. Only problem was when we went it was really stuffy and the AC wasn't on.

Please update your hours or leave a notice on yelp when you will not be open until later. It says it opens at 4pm, came around 5 pm with the doors locked and other people waiting outside as well. Not very professional to not be open for business when it's advertised as open. Go somewhere else and don't give this place your business. read more

A cyber cafe worth going to. I have come off and on for over 10 years. Not only is it the most affordable gaming cafe in the area but it reliable. High end computers with the latest games on them. Staff are helpful and kind. Snacks and drinks are available but are kind of expensive. I hadn't been there in probably 7 or 8 years and they still had my account on file. The sign on the door says they offer tutoring and other programs for kids. They do have VR for a couple of extra dollars per hour. They offer 3D printing. They have tvs available for console players. They have controllers available for pc players that would rather use a controller. I cost a couple of extra dollars. I came here on a Saturday and it was kind of dead. This place used to be packed during the hours of operation. read more

Really cool staff both times me and my partner came, they were patient and accommodating. The bathroom is clean (saw an old review talking about it being gross but I am happy to report that that aspect has improved since their review was made) and the PCs function well. Only a couple PCs had Apex downloaded which was a shame but we mostly came to play league and valo so it wasn't an issue. It's relatively quiet which is nice since you don't have to shout over noise when making comms in game. The design of the place and decor is also really cool. They offer drinks, energy drinks and other things. Not sure about food though, but there's a lot of places nearby that are really good and they allow outside drinks and food (just please clean up after yourself!) As far as I was aware, no smoking in the building and no one was smoking. Just be sure to check their opening hours as they update because they do rent the space out for events and tournaments, so be sure it's open before you head out. For $3 an hour (less if you play more than 4 hrs), there isn't much you can ask for. DreamLab is a dark space with ~25 decent computer stations and a variety of games, mostly FPS. They have games like Counter-Strike (GO and Source), Overwatch (only have 5 accounts, so you'll get to play if you're lucky), LoL, Dota, Bad Company, Civ 5, The Witcher, etc. Most people here are playing LoL, Dota, CS:GO or Overwatch. The computers can run the games, but far from super the most powerful around so you may get a bit of lag at times. Computers also come with headphones with mics for all your lanning fun. Things aren't the cleanest - they definitely don't wipe down each station when someone leaves and the bathroom doubles as a storage unit (look for TP if you need it before you use the bathroom!). But again, for $3/hr, you're just there to burn some hours playing games with friends and this place gets that job done. read more

First and foremost this is a computer gaming place. I wouldn't call it a cafe because you're not going to get a latte here. The prices are great for the time you get to play and they have a ton of games on the PCs. I had no lag, smooth play for the four hours I played. The areas are generally clean but the place as a whole could use a scrub down. Really the cleanliness of this place is the only issue I had with it. Pros: - Computers are in good condition (Seats are worn but they are pretty comfortable) - Great price ($3 per hour) - Play lab isn't very loud considering so many people are playing. - Large with a lot of open computers (call before you come to ask though) - Headsets are in decent condition - They sell snacks (cash only though. $10 min to use card) Cons: - Not all computers are updated. It took both my computer and my boyfriend's computer 15-20 min to update Fortnite prior to the load of the game itself. Not a huge deal, but considering that you are paying by the hour then staff should make sure all games in all computers are updated already. - Bathroom was disgusting. It's ok if you don't have to go to the restroom during your stay, but if you do then BEWARE. You were warned lol - $10 minimum for snacks/drinks if you pay cash (so not good for those who only carry plastic) - Their snacks aren't stocked up. Sun Chips are their only chip option... 10 years ago gaming based net cafe's were everywhere in Los Angeles. My friends would enjoy going to a "net bang" near our university to play competitive DOTA. Since then the era of enjoying the comradery of team play has become non existent. The raging QQ's followed by pointing fingers at teammates for losing has become a fond memory that I have known to miss. When I heard about this place my heart started to flutter; it's as if the butterflies in my stomach have started to tingle again. The smell of body odor masked with deodorant and the reeking onion smell of gamers have made me remember the culture that I known to love and hate very much. Nice spot for PC gaming! I came to play Valorant with a few friends. Unfortunately, Valorant wasn't updated on the PCs I was booting so I probably waited around 20-30 min for the patch to complete. They did add more time for me since I had to wait, but just a note if you're on a time crunch. read more

It's talked about in other reviews, but although the computers are good it is an incredibly unwelcoming environment. The owners and employees up front are constantly saying vile homophobic, transphobic, misogynistic, or racist comments in hearing range of all their customers. The last time I was there they were loudly making crude jokes about how having intercourse with a trans woman would be "so gay" and how they would never. Truly an unwelcoming and uncomfortable place to be. Me and my friends used to go here almost every night, but with the constant lag and this on top of everything it's really not worth it. read more

They had and still have crazy fast internet with gaming rigs to boot, VR and this 3 monitor set up were adding later but it still kept its really good snacks and drinks- the bathroom was redone and they had new chairs and stuff. I was reading over my old reviews and thought I should put an update here: They no longer have PS3/360 consoles anymore. Apparently they were attracting TOO much attention. That is, the parking lot was getting full and messing with the nearby businesses. The computers and atmosphere is still there though, so this place still rules, it just doesn't have the consoles anymore (Although they still have TVs and peripherals set up for some reason. This place is legit. Place and equipment are clean. The gamer host guy was nice and helpful. Nick helped me sign in and get to counter strike. Here are some reasons you should stop by soon: All games are up to date. Blazing fast computers. Awesome navigate-able software. Security helps make the place feel safe. TV's everywhere. Cold drinks available. This place is really a gamer paradise. I came with a buddy to relive the good ole days with some counter strike. I was looking specifically for version 1.6 but I was really surprised to find counter strike at all. We paid for 4 hours for $10 or something rather. Spent 2 and was satisfied. Michael was extremely helpful and took the time to help set up a game that no one played at the location which included downloading the game, updating the graphics driver, and allowing me to test the gameplay before paying for the session. He also lets everyone know when their session is about to expire even though the system notifies you. Really enjoyed speaking with him and his enthusiasm! Extremely pleased by the ambience, dark but not too dark and set ups were great (especially enjoyed the mechanical keyboards). They also played music and twitch streams which was very unique, I felt welcomed even though it was my first time at the location. The location also had an arcade set up for fighting games and DDR. You purchase hours first and rates are $3 an hour and discounted when purchasing additional hours. You sign up for an account and hours are stored. Parking in the plaza is max 1 hour, I ended up finding street parking since I intended to stay longer. Overall one of the better cyber cafes I visited. I went here with my kids because they were telling me to come here for weeks now.They loved the options of games but they said that the headphone were way too big.Also, one of them had to wait 20 minutes for fortnite to load, so maybe update the games weekly.But everything else was great, especially those prices. read more

I'm twenty seven years old. I've been coming to Dreamlab gaming since the age of twelve. I was seated in an *out of order* computer watching my friend next to me play Hearthstone. There were plenty of open computers around us, not a packed house for the night. An employee who later turned out to be the owner approached me and said "this area is for paying customers only, you need to sit in the center area". It's hard for me to convey the tone in his voice through text, but it was not welcoming or respectful at all. Upset at the treatment I received, I approached the front desk to speak to him. I introduced myself and kept my demeanor polite and quiet as to not alert other customers. I wanted to just have a conversation with him. Me: "I've been coming to this store since I was in middle school, i'm twenty seven years old. I've been a great patron to this business and I just want to say that the way you talked to me backed there really hurt my feelings." *I went on to address the fact that there is plenty of ample seating available* Him: "Well, I'm ACTUALLY the OWNER of this store. So there's no way you've been coming HERE for that long." *this really struck a tone with me* Me: "I've been coming to Dreamlab gaming for over a decade, there's no mistake." Him: "As I stated BEFORE, I'm the OWNER of this place. Did it look like THIS?" He pointed around the room, almost to mock me. I've been coming to Dreamlab since its humble beginnings in the early 2000's, when Counter-Strike was just becoming all the rage and the interior was the equivalent of a dungeon. I've been at the store basically since its initial opening. When the rows were crowded and narrow and the monitors huge. The remodeling the owner has done to the new establishment is really beautiful, it is spacious and nicely lit; a great place to play video games. It genuinely hurts me to say that I will not be returning to Dreamlab, It really is a bit of nostalgia every time I walk into that place. I've been going there nearly all my life. I'm a 47 y/o gent , old school, I was playing Pong before some of these folks were born. I was expecting some funky junk when I came in, because well it's been a long time since I've ventured into anything like this. This place was AWESOME! I only paid $3 for 1 hour because I wanted to see what they had, plus I was waiting for the missus. The guy running the desk was very cool, showed me how to work the system. I'm an IT consultant by trade, saw he had sweet rigs there, high end stuff, not your mamma's pc's. Plan to check it out again, obviously buying drinks to help their cause. Only downside is the parking lot, but once you find a space, great area for young and old to get out and do some serious gaming. read more

If you are a gamer and aren't at dreamlab, I have no Idea what you are doing. They have Console games as well as PC games. So get your street fighter on while your waiting for your league team to log on to pwn some noobs. DL is way better than PC shop or any other Internet cafe I have been to. The staff is hella chill, and the owner is a mad chill gamer himself. They breed gaming legends. This is by far a superior alternative to just having a Lan party at your house with your SUB-par desktops/laptops (and no AC.) The pricing is $3/hour or $20/10 hours..... And you can save your time until the next time you come back.....perfect business model. This place is way too underrated and for sure deserves a sixth star for their business, their services, and always having snacks to munch on while gaming. Dream Lab is a perfect place for online gaming, especially if you want to sit with your friend and don't want to go to each other's house. Atmosphere is dark and the noise level just depends on the time and day you come. Most of the time its actually filled with loud kids that like to yell across the room to their friends. Which could be irritating. They have TVs playing games and I believe they even have console systems for you to rent. Pricing is decent. Fast forward 1 1/2 years, still live 400 miles away.. I called DreamLab a few months ago while I was in LA because I knew I had some time left from TWO summers ago. I was a bit worried that my account had been deleted for inactivity.. but thankfully my boyfriend and I were still in their database, and with 7 hours remaining! A couple days ago, we decided to give our friends (who are regular DreamLabbers) our hours and save them some money since we haven't touched our accounts for over a year. I called DreamLab and asked if it was possible. The guy seemed puzzled by my request, but was really helpful and transferred over our hours to their accounts successfully. Great high speed computer gaming center. Prices are affordable at $3/hr, 10/4, 20/10. You can add the $20 for 10 hour deal and use your hours however you wish. I'd recommend doing this if you plan on coming here and gaming more than just once and wanna save some money. If you buy your hours couple at a time separately each time you visit, you can see how you would be losing money over time. I still have an hour or two left from the $20 I put back in Nov/Dec. The place is well kept with nice setup and lighting. Computers are top flight and seats are comfortable. They have various treats such as sodas, candies, chips, etc. that are all cheap and yummy. They even provide the disinfecting wipes to clean your computer area if you wish to. If you are a ocd germphobic like me, then this is a major plus!
