I recently visited Lokal Coffee to grab a quick breakfast while I was out running errands on a Saturday morning. Upon entering the building, there is a good amount of seating in the cafe. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich along with a Sunburst smoothie. When I asked about the preparation of the eggs, I was told the egg is a patty and cheese is folded into it. Overall, the sandwich and smoothie were just okay. I see a lot about the prices, so I'll say that the sandwich was $8.95 and the smoothie was $7.95. I am on the fence about this place. I didn't have anything that was THAT good, but it wasn't bad either. I can't speak on the coffee because I rarely, if ever, drink it.

I got a hazelnut iced coffee. It was delicious and I enjoyed it. I got a sausage & egg wrap and it was great especially the spinach wrap! Great service even when the drink I wanted they didn't have they tried to give other alternatives. The ambiance is quiet and cozy perfect to work from this cafe.

My $10 breakfast sandwich that cost $10, didn't come as ordered, only slightly bigger than my average sized computer mouse

Stopped in on my way to work as this place was across the street. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich with salt, pepper and ketchup. They rang me up for $10... and then proceeded to hand me my sandwich, after waiting 10 minutes. I had time to browse their menu (most of it over priced by 50%), peruse their vinyl selection, most of which see.s curated based on popular, minor lyrics subversive stuff, clearly only there for decoration like their unmoved random smattering of books. The Nintendo mini was a nice touch. They handed me the bag, and I knew it felt light, which is never a food sign. When i opened it up it didn't have the salt pepper or ketchup I asked for, and it was barely bigger than an egg mcgriddle from mcdonalds. Photo with my mouse for scale. And this was $10... won't be back. Not sure who this boushie place is supposed to appeal to, but it ain't me. And a bunch of the comments above look like they were written by AI.

Everything from the incredible coffee to the great food to the little toast coaster (toasters??) makes Lokal 5 stars for me. Oh wait, you can't forget about the incredibly cool 90s-esque video game set up they've got for anyone to play. The cafe is loaded with plenty of tables for folks looking to get some work done or just sit and chat. I'm a HUGE fan of the vibes: cozy and relaxed and nothing crazy. I've mixed up my order with each visit and so far have tried a black cup of coffee (my usual), the Tate's cookie latte and a simple oat milk latte. My final decision is that you can't go wrong. The black coffee is strong and fresh. You can tell they use high quality beans, and after a few conversations with Jorge, the owner, I've learned this to be true! They actually visit the farms in Costa Rica where they source their beans from regularly, something I don't think you'll find at just any coffee shop, especially the big guys. I really don't think you can go wrong with a good cup of hot coffee here! If you are looking for something with lots of flavor, but still not overly sweet, try the Tate's latte. They actually use Tate's cookies to make this, so you'll have some of the cookie crumble at the bottom of your drink. I really loved this because it didn't leave me with a stomach ache after, it was just a great little treat. Looking for food? I've gotten the avocado toast and the grilled chicken sandwich (GET THE SANDWICH!!) The chicken was butter soft and juicy as can be. I took half of it home but ended up eating it before the day was up. The avocado toast was nice but a little too simple for me. I loved that the avo was nice and fresh, because that's really the most important thing. That and the bread, which was also delicious. It came with a bed of greens on top. Both meals came with a side of potato chips. I need to stop my rave now. But just a little tip! They are in the ground floor of an apartment building. Just look for the Lokal sign and you'll find them no prob.

This place is very cute, I was here once before with a friend for coffee and I remember it having such cute quirky decor in there. The staff is very friendly, it's mostly quiet for the most part. It's down below under apartments, there is a good amount of parking when I usually go. The menu is extensive! So many options to choose from. Tea, coffee, snacks, pastries, chips, etc. this is a great date night or study date. Whichever you choose but my one gripe is that I wish they were open longer. If I was a student I would definitely come here to study! Especially because it's so local for me.

This is such a great coffee shop to visit, especially if you are tired of all the Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts options in the area. They have a really nice modern ambiance. I love that they have booths as well so you can bring your laptop and get work done or just hang out with friends. I tried the matcha croissant and it was sooo good and fresh! Their coffee and great too. My personal favorite is the just a regular pistachio latte.

    Tates cookie late!

I came to Lokal coffee and got myself the Tates latte. When I walked in there were not to many people there. I was able to order right away. The barista behind the counter recommended it and I thought it was a good recommendation as I really enjoyed it. If your looking for a good latte look no further. The decor here is pretty cool. You could definitely spend some time here if you were looking for a place to drink some coffee and relax for a while. The atmosphere here is definitely chic and hipster. I could see handing out here a with a friend and just catching up. I also noticed they had some pretty cool coffee gadgets. I'm pretty sure I spotted a Japanese coffee syphon which is an out of this world way to make coffee. If you are into coffee and you're local I would definitely check this place out, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Lokal coffee is a coffee shop that also offers some light bites. I came here during the week for an iced lavender latte. The server was nothing but pleasant and took her time making my drink. The coffee was fantastic and the menu is quite extensive as far as beverages go. I personally did not grab any food here, so i cannot attest to the food, but i did grab a picture of the menu. In addition to the delicious coffee, the inside is a shining point of this establishment and would be a great spot to work from or to meet a friend to catch up over coffee IMO. There is a lot of beautiful artwork all over the establishment and they even have some older video games that people can play while enjoying their coffee. The only downside is that Lokal is difficult to access, being located off a major roadway, in a development- which can lead to it easily being overlooked. I do want to note I did not have an issue with parking- but my gps definitely led me in a few circles to get here. Pros: good coffee and picturesque establishment Cons: difficult to find Overall, I'd definitely be back for coffee and to try some of their food

Vegan Sausage Egg & Cheese and almond milk Latte
    Roxanne O.

Came on a Thursday, so they weren't very busy when I arrived. I waited about a five minutes for the girl at the front to end her angry conversation on the phone, even after she noticed me, and there was no apology. I ordered an almond milk latte and a vegan sausage egg and cheese to stay and when my coffee was ready I noticed it was in a to go cup so I questioned if it was mine. The same girl rolled her eyes and said that all their drinks are in to go cups unless someone really wants it. Which I get, but usually I'm informed beforehand. When my food was ready, she dropped it off without a word or a response. The food was good, the coffee was meh. They don't use barista milk so the steamed milk is watery and lacks that creamy sweet mouth feel. I wouldn't call them a specialty coffee shop, more of a breakfast place. The experience is what most leads to such a low star rating. I understand you're having stock issues with your supplier or something, given your phone conversation, but that is no reason to treat customers with such disdain.

    Raspberry Mocha
    Kammi L.

The mocha raspberry reminded me of the Gertrude hawk chocolate raspberry (ifykyk). Not to sweet and great size! There was a couch and lots of area for seating. I came on a Sunday afternoon and it was quiet and not crowded. They also have a video game corner. I would say that this place gets very cold so if you come to study or work bring a jacket! I was confused by the parking because it's located near apartments. I think you can park at the signs that say commercial parking and visitor parking.

    Waffles with banana & strawberries
    Melody M.

This quaint lil cafe is a whole vibe! Music was chill, staff was friends, decor was cute and artsy. Waffles with banana and strawberries and Tate's cookie latte (almond milk)- delicious! I'd definitely come back with a friend(s) to catch up and chill over yummy food and drinks. Sidenote: they don't charge extra for non-dairy milks like other establishments.

Always love finding new coffee places in town! Interior: super cute set up inside with a mix of lounge space , regular tables , and high top tables and booths. Plenty of outlets for those who want to come here to do some work. Coffee: I will say their pour over coffee was not that great, it tasted watered down. However, their cappuccino was yummy! Attached a picture of it. Ambiance: they play top 40s in the background which is nice. Service: wasn't that busy when we went but the staff were nice and friendly. Food came out fairly quickly. Food: Yogurt parfait: not enough fruit, too much honey - would rank this as just okay. Egg cheese and avocado sandwich : was just okay. Tasted like something I could make at home unfortunately! Really wanted to give this place at least 4 starts but given the food ultimately wasn't up to par would give it 3 or 3.5 stars.

Food was overpriced and the girl at the counter was rude. I don't care about service normally but this was an exception. She sucked.

The floors were sticky. Tables were dirty. Food was very average and coffee was nothing special. I would not go again for brunch.

Meat was soft and delicious. The churro waffle was so fluffy and not too sweet. Perfect balance. Farmer's platter was good. My only note is they didn't add any butter to my toast, something I usually expect when I order breakfast plates. But since they charged me extra for ordering some garlic mayonnaise, I assumed they'd charge me if I asked for butter. Staff was attentive and kind, upsold us to the max. Which was a good and bad thing. The coffee we ordered, our server upsold us on flavored syrups and cold foam but did not disclose it'd be extra. Didn't complain since the coffee was delicious, but just keep that in mind if you try this place!
