    Tikka masala
    Amy Y.

2nd time back at this spot. The matcha here is great! First time got it plain to experience the matcha flavor and second time got the black sesame for a bit of sweetness (not overpowering). As for the sandwiches, I've tried the katsu, pesto chicken, and tikka masala. The Katsu was by far my favorite. The pesto chicken was good too. The tikka masala isn't what I expected (was expecting tomato base), still good though. I'll update my review once I'm back home to show the tikka masala. 10/10 would be back to try the other drinks and desserts. They were out of the honey cake when I went. Which I heard is a crowd favorite.

So pleasantly surprised by this cafe. They're conveniently located in a new strip mall with plenty of parking. The matcha is ceremonial grade and they offer dairy free milk. There are pastries and a few food options for purchase. The earl grey matcha is such a unique flavor combination. Husband got the iced mocha and we both agree it's the best mocha we've ever had! It's made in house and tastes like rich expensive chocolate. Not pictured was a warm butter croissant that was devoured before a picture was taken because it was so good. Reasonably priced for the quality. $8 for the specialty matcha with the up charge for oat milk. $6 for the iced mocha. $5 for the croissant. The interior is very cold and sleek with metal chairs but the pops of flowers in the table look great and light up the space. The service was solid and appreciate them bringing our order to our table.

Came back for a quick breakfast and it's still incredible! Great staff who brought the coffee outside where we were dining

    Iced Vanilla Latte
    Apsara T.

I visited Manzil around 9 PM on a Saturday night, and it was surprisingly quiet. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and wanted to get a honey cake, but I was initially told they were sold out. I picked a different dessert instead, only to find out later that there was actually one honey cake left after all. A quick double-check before saying an item is unavailable would have saved a little confusion (and would have gotten me to my honey cake faster!). That said, the iced vanilla latte was good, though I noticed there seemed to be quite a bit of room left at the top of the cup. I'm not expecting it filled to the brim, but it felt like there could have been a little more coffee for the price. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Overall, it was an okay experience. I'd consider coming back for the coffee, though next time I might just place a to-go order.

Good local cafe spot! We tried their matcha and a lemon olive oil cake. Both were good but not mind blowing. The matcha was better than average, and the cake was good but a bit dry. There is indoor seating though this place gets very busy on weekends. Service is okay as well.

    Chicken Katsu Sandwich

Visited Manzil Cafe for the first time Saturday. My sister and I came here to catch up with a friend of ours. We decided to grab a table and chitchat for a few. I ordered the Iced Black Sesame Vanilla Matcha and the chicken katsu sandwich. My sister and I don't mind sharing so I had half of her breakfast burrito and she had half of my katsu chicken sandwich. Doing that allowed me to try both. Their breakfast burrito was pretty yummy. But the chicken katsu sandwich was my overall favorite. This cafe is relatively small and isn't the biggest space so I can see how it can get busy. It may be a little crowded if there are a lot of people going to the café and seating is limited. I did see a few people chilling in the cafe on their laptops and etc. Overall, if you are in the area, I definitely suggest checking out this café.

    Whipped sea salt honey

Was hesitant to try this cafe bc of the steep pricing but when I finally went, I realized it was totally worth the hype. Drinks are mostly south Asian inspired and very carefully crafted by the baristas. I ordered a whipped sea salt honey - one of their newer drinks as part of a promotion and let me just say this is one of the best coffee drinks I've ever had at a Cafe. When the barista handed it to me he explained how to drink it for optimal taste and you could tell it was a clearly thought out drink. The long black coffee was perfectly smooth and not too sweet and complemented well by the whipped honey cream top that followed as the aftertaste. It didn't feel too heavy (I dislike drinks that feel like meals) and gave me a good buzz without being overly jittery. It was a unique drink experience and I'm still thinking about it!! The cafe was buzzing on a Friday afternoon and I opted not to stay although I could tell it seemed like a popular choice for students to study or catch up with friends Overall this place is a 10/10 and I highly recommend

I was very impressed with the service at Manzil. It is a newer location in South Brunswick and I have noticed it gets a good influx of people. Great place to relax and get some work done + they offer free WiFi. The service was great and quick, they even came around and cleaned the table for me, which was a very nice touch. Had the London fog cake which was delicious. It was not too sweet and was a great evening treat. I had the match Einspanner and I absolutely loved the salted vanilla foam it came with. It was clean inside. Will definitely be back to try more!

I love seeing a new cafe in the Central Jersey Area! Interior is sleek, modern and cozy at the same time. It's a small space, so seating is limited- perfect for groups of 4 and under. The fries and coffee latte items look delicious here and I'd love to come back to try them. Drink: Manzil Chai: Made hot to order with whole milk! Robust spice flavor- I think cardamom, cinnamon, star anise and others

This is a new spot , has a cozy vibe with great coffee & tea choices. They also serve light sandwiches and desserts . Got the Honey cake n lemon cake .Both a must try and not to be missed . I only got take out but their service was quick and the cakes were boxed in clear plastic containers . It's moderately priced and a could be pit stop for a pick me up or a laid back place for coffee with friends . Will go back to try their coffee and sandwiches.

A bustling cafe in a late Saturday morning is nice to see. Every table was full and even the couch was occupied. I ordered an oat milk flat white and two avo toasts made vegan by omitting the cheese spread. The service was polite and pleasant, although a bit slow. I finished my small flat white before the toast came, but we enjoyed the toast at home. It served the purpose - I got a vegan breakfast and a vegan coffee in one place.

This place is such a gem! Even though we had a small hiccup with our order, the staff was incredibly friendly and quick to fix everything with a smile. We ordered a coffee, ice vanilla matcha, an almond croissant, and another pastry with cardamom (I forgot the name, but it was so good!). We also tried the breakfast platter, and let me tell you...that was the best sourdough I've ever had. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The vibes were cozy, the service was great, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I think I just found my second spot for my matcha addiction. The coffee bar is sleek with ultra-modern metal aesthetics. The steel plays throughout the entire space including the walls, tables and chairs. Been here back to back this past weekend and I have tried the following drinks: - Earl Grey Latte w/Oat - Coffee Einspanner - Iced Black Sesame Vanilla Matcha w/Oat - Latte Their Black Sesame Vanilla Matcha blew me away. It's ceremonial grade of the highest-quality. And the black sesame!! OMG! One sip and it totally took me back to how my mom used to make it, PURE BLACK SESAME! Both flavors came through equally. I like my matcha and black sesame (black color instead of grey) to be in its purest form. They make their own house-made syrups and that just takes it to another level. Lots of different interesting blends that I look forward to trying. We also got to try a couple of their in-house baked goods, the Lemon Olive Oil Cake and Salted Caramel Banana Pudding. So good. They also serve sandwiches, fries, and healthy breakfast items. This will be a regular spot where I will stop to recharge. Service is super friendly.

Also, the cost of one shoprite apple turnovers from the cafe buys you the whole case at shoprite which is *actually* the same exact food. The breakfast sandwich was the most unflavorful and bland breakfast sandwich I've ever had, counting both outside and even at home. It was difficult to take a third or fourth bite of any of the food. The coffee also did not stand out to me in any way. Coming in very hungry, I was excited and while food typically tastes better when hungry, I just couldn't enjoy it. with this experience, I have to give the food a 2/5 If you're looking for a spot to hangout or get some work in, I'd say it's worth visiting. The staff member / barista seemed as if they hated their job. It was around 10am on a Sunday and understandably there were a few people already in the shop, but the staff member felt a bit cold and overall, quite miserable. The coffee was pretty gross as well, which could be a byproduct of the barista hating that they were working that day. I am a sucker for a fun drink and wanted to try the cookie and cream latte, not knowing it was just a cup of milk with the smallest splash of coffee and mixed with crushed up cookies. I felt as if I was drinking a child's recipe, with each attempted sip clogging my straw due to the cookie pieces. If you don't like coffee this is great, because it tasted exactly like what was advertised - milk and cookies. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but my partner ordered something completely different and it didn't taste great either. The taste of burnt coffee was prominent, making it hard to consume as well. The one positive is the environment seems like a great place to work remotely / study, as that is what many patrons were doing. The open-ness and bright atmosphere is great, but the beverages and customer service not so much.
