So many good options to choose from! On our first day on the island, we stopped here for lunch on a whim. It is a very small shop with only a few tables inside and a few outside. Found this place after a run nearby as it was one of the few spots still open for another hour at 6 pm. It's located in a small shopping center with decent parking. Service was unfriendly and a little rude. Loko Wrap with kalua pork and kau bbq sauce - the kalua pork with very flavorful and paired really well with the coconut rice. Parking: They're located in a big plaza, so there's plenty of free parking. Easy to find. Ambiance/Environment: This is a casual and local spot. It's pretty small inside with very limited indoor seating. No outdoor seating. Service: There were two workers. I completely forgot her name, but the cashier that assisted us was very chill and nice! I had a great conversation with her about where we're from and how we grew up. Throughput took a while; we received our entire order approximately 15 min after ordering. There were a couple confusions with our orders but eventually got sorted out. They do not offer to-go bags, so we had to carry all 8 items. What we ordered: Everyone ordered different things from wraps to smoothies to acai bowls. We paid cash, so they gave us a % off our entire purchase. I ordered the Bento Box with shoyu chicken, beef, and spicy jungle sauce. My dish came with a generous amount of meats. The meats sat on rice and served with cabbage and salad. I'd prefer more sides since there was a lot of meat. The sauce was definitely spicy and gave the meats an extra kick. My bf and MIL ordered the acai bowls as desserts. It is in an unassuming retail space with enough seating but no other notable decor-- in fact, the back wall opens directly into the supermarket beside it, even though they've blocked it off with shelving so it's not obvious. When we visited, there were two people behind the counter. While we were trying to decide which ingredients to put into our burritos, they offered up combination suggestions ("We could put a little bit of all meats in if you want?"). They were very patient with us, despite our jet lag and general unfocused demeanor. Our food was unique, fresh, and oh so tasty. We got a smoothie as well, which I highly recommend. Located next to the Sak & Save grocery store, the cafe has a wide selection of açaí bowls, juices, smoothies, wraps, bento boxes, burritos and quesadillas. Protein and sauce can be customized for each dish. For a vegan/vegetarian option, I selected the BBQ jackfruit bento box, served with rice and a side salad was it was delicious. Our group ended up coming back a second time during the trip during which I got the Dragonfruit açaí bowl. It was amazing and the 24 oz size was huge! Prices are very reasonable given that the area is pretty touristy (açaí bowl was just over $12). They also offer a number of specials and promotions like order a smoothie with a meal for $1 off and get 3 tacos for $6 with the purchase of a drink from 3-6pm. Overall, excellent! read more

I wouldn't travel far with any of the meats, or jackfruit if you have it like I did. The space is small with some bar seating inside but there's a lot of outdoor seating. Very casual but the staff is so friendly and helped us pick the best options. Love the fusion of Mexican and Island cuisine. We ordered the Loko Wrap Meal Deal ($19), which includes chips, salad, & fresh lemonade. They give you options of the protein, but we heard the BBQ Jackfruit is really good, so we got that! When you order a smoothie with your entree, you get $1 off. Our large Pau Pau smoothie ($8.55) was only $7.55 with the discount, which is the same as the regular size. The lemonade is delicious. The smoothie was tasty. Everything was great! Came to loko wraps on our most recent trip to the Big Island. I saw the reviews online so we were willing to give it a shot. The restaurants promotes "Mexican style" island food, but that is misleading. The food was mediocre at best. The spicy jungle "loko" sauce was not spicy at all. Jackfruit bbq filling was ok, but I felt that the portion of meat to green was inadequate. I would try something different in the future if I ever came back here again. read more
