    puna açaí with almonds added

as an açaí lover, this tasted like a basic jamba juice version to me. the açaí is way too icy and no texture or flavor. bland. disappointed. toppings were generous and well done though.

I won't gatekeep as I want this place to continue with business. A must try place for an açaí bowl. Open till 2pm. Has a great view overlooking Huggos restaurant. The large size is enough to share for 2 people. Fresh ingredients and quick service as long as there are no lines. Located above Bob's snorkel.

I always look forward to stoping by Açaí Hawaii on my Kona visits, especially since it's easy to get to from my hotel! I love the unique topics that are rarer on the main land (bee pollen, cacao nibs, raw honey, hemp seeds... (If you're in the Oklahoma area I would recommend Surfbar!!)

I love Acai bowls and found this place on Yelp (my go to for finding all manner of things). Guess it used to be Basik Acai. Ordered a large Drifter. It was the largest Acai bowl I've ever had. It came out pretty quickly but then again when I got there, there was no one there which changed after a couple of minutes. The Drifter was very refreshing and filling. Would go again when visiting my friends on the Big Island.

Ordered a couple of bowls and they came out super fast! Very friendly service and a cool view up there although not a lot of room. I love that there's parking because it's a very touristy area and they charge a ton for public parking. The açaí was a little sour, or maybe it was the banana. It was super dark too but overall the taste was okay since my kids didn't complain.

Great place with amazing views. They do validate for an hour with plenty of parking. You can choose from multiple Açaí options. The service is quick and easy plus they are super friendly.

Loved the Basik Açaí in SF before it closed. Split a large puna ($18) between 2 ppl for breakfast which is plentiful. Heard some other folks ordering while we ate who were obviously regulars. One ordered off the old Basik Açaí Menu - which they can make for you. One mixed puna toppings with the pb base which I would have done if I'd have known! Next time. Upper deck seating is tight but has ocean views and friendly gecko. Free parking validation.

This place was on my list because of the rave reviews! It's in a really small spot, so seating is limited. The upstairs area is pretty tight so I'd definitely say it's more of a grab-and-go kind of place. What I really appreciated was how mindful they were about allergies. I told them what I couldn't eat, and they made the base without those ingredients, which was awesome. Also, I loved that they had chia seeds as a topping! Not just sprinkled dry, they were already mixed in and soaked, which gave the bowl a nice texture and made it more filling. The only downside was the fruit because it was pretty tasteless and didn't really add anything. . Other than that, it was pretty good!

Delicious!! Super cute little shop! :) definitely give it a stop if you love some açaí. Also the portions are massive... I'm celiac so I passed on the granola but otherwise the cups are packed to the brim!!

We made sure to stop by for açaí bowls here, as my boyfriend and his friends used to work for the Reno location back when it was Basik açaí. The bowl names and recipes stayed the same, thank goodness, as it remains the best açaí I've ever had. I've had tons of açaí bowls in my life, and although yummy, they all pretty much taste the same. Icy frozen fruit and toppings. Not here. The flavor and most importantly the texture is outrageously better than all other places by a long shot. This is the best açaí hands down. I wish they kept their smoothies though- that was a very disappointing realization to not see the crunch on the menu. Bonus tip- try the peanut butter base on any of the bowls. It's even better than the original!!

Came in a Sunday at 11:00 because my regular spot is closed on Sunday and I was craving açaí. Eerywhere online said they were open, in fact the sign on the locked door said they should have been open...

So good. Chill atmosphere. Good prices. Bring a bag if you have a large to go order. Small spot but cool tree house vibes with ocean view.

I'd say I'm a pretty big açaí snob just because I've tried so many spots! This spot exceeded my açaí requirements and more! It's located in a little shack up stairs. There's not a lot of seating areas upstairs so you may have to take it to go out sit downstairs on the picnic tables. They make the orders super quick so don't be scared if the long line!

First off, their macadamia ice cream is really really good! Creamy, thick, sooo tasty! We also ordered: Epic Feisty Tacos - 5/5 - comes with three tacos and spicy sauce. The tacos are super tasty and perfectly balanced spicy, savory, tangy flavors. The lemon herb chik'n is also so good, you can't even tell it's vegan. The tortillas are a bit on the crumbly side, but still equally tasty as a taco bowl. Definitely would recommend this dish if you love spicy tacos! Epic journey nachos - 4/5 - the toppings on the nachos taste similar to the feisty tacos. The chips are more like baked tortillas with a crispy exterior and softer center. Journey Classic Crepe and Blueberry macnut crepe - 3/5 - The crepe itself was a bit thick, I'd describe it as more of a pancake than a crepe as crepes should be super thin. Still pretty good though all together, fruity and sweet. Latte with oat milk - 4/5 - a bit on the bitter side but not a bad latte! Asian salad - 4/5 - good salad, vegan meat is well seasoned and everything pairs well together. It wasn't very Asian tasting though, more like a Mexican-Asian fusion salad.

Great Kona coffee in a wonderful casual atmosphere!…read more I had to meet up/interview a potential Big Island candidate in Kailua-Kona and I was basically looking for a casual place where I could meet, enjoy a drink, and have a little bit of conversation. Kona Coffee & Tea was the place of choice here in Kailua-Kona. Located at the Kona Coast Shopping Center, you can find this little coffee shop just next door from KFC. The coffee shop is easy to find, as other business surrounding this business is the KTA Superstore, Hele Gas Station, HFS Federal Credit Union, O'Reilly Auto Parts, as well as many numerous eateries. It was late in the afternoon, so I basically came here for some drinks. I had to try their Kona Coffee, and I must say it did not disappoint! The coffee shop has indoor, as well as covered outdoor seating. The shop does sell some food items, but I did not partake or looked at what they had to offer. There was also coffee shop merchandise, but I did not have time to take a look at what they had to offer. Overall, as great coffee shop and if I'm in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stop by for their wonderful coffee.

Unless you're a coffee connoisseur, you may want to skip the pour over for something a bit less special to save yourself a few dollars. The coffee was fine, but my unrefined palette was not able to fully appreciate the cup of brew. In terms of atmosphere, Kona Coffee & Tea has plenty of seating outdoors around the porch and a few high tables indoor, where they have AC blasting at full strength. They have free Wi-Fi available as well, so I saw a lot of people posting up on their laptops. Parking is plentiful and easy to find since this coffee spot is located in a strip mall. If you have a discerning palette for the subtle flavors that show up in different coffee beans, you will definitely want to stop by for a cup.

Vanilla latte was way too sweet (personally) but I did add vanilla syrup and cold foam so that's on me. Just didn't taste much of the coffee.
