Prices are always reasonable, employees are always so friendly, and food always tastes fresh! I love the outside seating adorned with small vases of fresh flowers in the center. Been coming here for years just for the delicious turkey pesto, but have been branching out to the specials lately, especially the (thankfully) often available turkey avocado! One of the busier lunch spots in San Juan Bautista, Lolla's is getting something right. Despite the shortage of seating. The BTLT (bacon, lettuce,tomato,Lolla sauce) with avocado delivered on others' reviews. The brie/bacon/jam, however, was too sweet with way too much berry jam. Nearly inedible - had to be deconstructed to ingest the cheese and bacon. Otherwise it was an overly sweet dessert. And lacking in a crisp or green counterpoint. Both sandwiches could've used edible sides/garnishes of vegetable or fruit. read more

Really cute spot with fresh sandwiches. Think of sandwiches you would make at home with really great ingredients. One thing to consider is that there is no inside seating and only two small tables outside. We ended up grabbing our brown bags from here and walking over to the mission to eat at their picnic tables. It never fails, I find a place I love but they are 30 minutes away! I live in San Martin but Lolla's is worth the drive. I currently can only eat pureed food due to a surgery and the soups at Lolla's are amazing!! Bring back the carrot ginger soup!! So tasty and I love that there are soups with NO CREAM. I am lactose intolerant and finding good soup without cream can be a challenge. My husband and daughter have tried a few of the sandwiches and love them. They're crushing it with really good reviews and I believe they're fairly new to SJB, so it was an easy call. Plus they were a short walk away and had a couple tables outside. The place has only been open this year and is pretty small, with only 3 tables. My best pal and wife is no dairy, no beans. She talks over a Dutch doorway with a really good and really motivated employee. Always curious, I ask "Are you Lolla?" She, stepping back and pointing at a ceramic cat, "No, we're named for that cat." Okay. Wife works out a sandwich with no dairy or beans. Woman "We've got vegan." So, my wife orders a VEGAN sandwich WITH bacon. Bacon absolutely crushes it in a sandwich. Try it you non-vegans. Waiting for our sandwiches we noticed a Dachshund-Chihuahua mix dog moaning for his "Mamma" according to his owner. Sandwiches delivered to our little table on the sidewalk. I haven't had grapes in years let alone in the sandwich. Delicious. The sandwiches are delivered by that employee. Really good employee? Nope. Owner. Very charming. Eaten here a dozen times or so. Food is tasty and made from high quality ingredients. We have tried the salads and several soups. All yummy. Our usual go-to's are the turkey san and the banh mi (a special that is often on the daily menu). Both are terrific. My only negative is the ciabatta roll they serve some of the sandwiches on. Ciabatta is awesome bread, but it has to be uber fresh because it dries out in a hurry. Had that happen with a couple of ban mi's from lollas. But ymmv, and they have other breads for people like me, so no big deal. Like I said, food is excellent. And the ladies behind the counter are some of the best!
