Cesar salad $11 with about $1 worth of ingredients, it's concave in the bowl with some bagged Parmesan on it. "Loaded" baked potato $12 with less than probably $2 with of cheese, bacon and some watered down sour cream. Not even salt and peppered or with butter- super dry and underwhelming (it's a baked potato guys it take minimum effort to make it delicious) Mac & cheese probably the most disappointing while it's a fair size serving it's kinda like a box of kraft but less flavor- now it has a slightly flour texture so if they make it from scratch it's not cooked long enough so the raw flour texture is still there and absent of flavor Banana pudding $9 3.5/5 they use some artificial jello base so it makes it bouncy but it's not that bad and it's a pint Ice tea- was cloudy so tastes old and watered down at the same time- they took it off the bill The sauces on the table were great variety and most tasted so good! We went in hungry while on our road trip and the food and staff did not disappoint! I ordered the Dirty Bird Fries and could only finish half. Easily could have been a sharable dish. We stumbled upon this Bbq joint on our way home from Paso Robles. Perfect stop for a lunch break. The staff was helpful and nice. Food was delicious. I had the Chicken Caesar Sandwich. Chicken was tender, very flavorful and the bun was nice and soft.We had a couple meat plates with assortment of sides, including Brussel sprouts, mac and cheese and bbq beans. All good! This is such a cute hidden gem in San Juan Bautista! We stopped here on our way to Monterey with our 1 year old. The restaurant is small, but bright and airy. Our waitress was the sweetest. She brought a little toy and crayons for our son to play with. The food was delicious! I'm a big brussel sprouts fan and I will be dreaming about these ones for a while the meat was also really good, and prices were actually pretty decent! Also, one of my husband's AirPods fell out while we were there. He realized it about 30 min after we left. When he went back in to try to find it, our waitress had it waiting for him! Oh gosh, put a fork in me. It was so fabulous!! It's always hard to find really good barbecue out west. But this place does. Succulent pulled pork, outstanding, tender, tri-tip, the cornbread was unbelievably wonderful, great mac & cheese, and brussels sprouts were really good. I love the selection of barbecue sauces, and yes, the Alabama hot is good on the brussels sprouts! We came here hungry for dinner on a Saturday after a long hike and we are really happy we picked this place because of how damn good and satisfying it was. The inside seating was full so they sat us on the back patio. It's still a bit chilly in early March so they provided heaters and a blanket for us to keep warm on the back outdoor patio. We ordered wings for the appetizer and they came out piping hot fresh and were so delicious. The wings had a nice crispy outside but it wasn't overly breaded or anything which was perfect. For our mains, I got a tri tip plate with Cesar salad and fries as my two sides. My partner got the half chicken with baked beans and Brussel sprouts. We also got their famous cornbread to try and that was really good and worth ordering. Our food from the wings to the tri tip, to the chicken, and all the sides were sooo good. The Kansas bbq was my favorite for the tri tip. We were both eating our food and nodding our heads in approval. Our waitress was attentive and checked on us a few times even though we were in the back patio away from all the other tables inside. We plan to return and bring family and friends here again with us. I hope to try the brisket next time! read more

They goofed by not telling me about an added charge for something (not indicated on their menu) and did not make it right. The various sauces they offer were not great! I tried to give this place another chance but the second time around was more disappointing. I do have to say that the service was great but the food not so much. I ordered a Mac and cheese with brisket on top with a side of Brussels sprouts. I had to literally pull off the entire pieces of brisket since it was all fatty and hardly any meat. The gal was kind enough to send me another piece of brisket but that was a disappointment within itself. My Brussels sprouts were black and she kindly took them back but came but with yet again another bowl of burnt Brussel sprouts ( not pictured since she kindly took it away) she did remove the Brussels sprouts off my tab but between my meal and my teenage sons meal, I spent $80 for a bland sad meal. Over priced and not so great. I do appreciate the waiters great customer service but they need to work on their food :( read more

We went here on a whim after a day of fishing with our dogs at the beach. On our way back home the 4 of us found this place on yelp. We walked in to a small little cute diner. We asked if dogs are welcomed and they said of course. We were excited we didn't have to eat in the car. We went in the back as we didn't want to disturb anyone with our 3 dogs. The back patio is so cute. They have ample space and provide blankets and a drinking bowl. This was so nice as it was a gloomy day. Two of us ordered the smoked brisket, one had the tri tip sandwich and the other the pulled pork. The meats were delicious. Definitely cooked to perfection. I wasn't a huge fan of the sides or the sauces. I like my Mac creamy and cheesy and my cornbread more moist. There's was rather on the dry side and too crumbly. It's just their style of bbq and sauces. To each their own. What impressed me was their customer service ultimately. They were so kind and attentive. Love this spot! First, San Juan Bautista Mission is historic and the town is magical. SO worth the drive South of Gilroy. The Smoke Point BBQ is one of a couple wonderful restaurants but if you want REAL BBQ this is the spot! The menu is all about smoked meats with wonderful sides.Outside patio is dog friendly and a wonderful place to watch the GIGANTIC smoker being used. We love this spot! The service is warm and welcoming with seating inside and out. Wine and beer served along with family favorite sodas, lemonade and water. My first time ordering, very easy to order on line for take out. Wait time was fast. I wasn't sure if it was dine in or take out only, and there is no parking lot. That's ok, you can park on the street and there is a nice dinning room. I ordered the brisket with mac & cheese and sweet potato fries. Got a can of soda for a beverage. It comes with toasted bread, pickle and onions, so I made a sandwich and it was real good. The mac & cheese was basic, the fries very good, and dipped in the cheese sauce even better. Brisket was slightly dry w/o bbq sauce. I reheated a leftover slice that was pretty good. I will go back and try other plates and dine in. read more
