This is such an awesome store!! My boyfriend and I went in simply to check out all the candies and ended up getting to taste test two of the new ice cream float flavors. The cherry cola float (cherry cola, ice cream and pop rocks!) was AMAZING!! The lovely folks behind the ice cream counter, Chris and Stephanie, were such a blast to talk with too. Let me start off by saying this is every child's and adults dream. This place is so fantastical! So today me and my best friend decided to take a trip to the mall. We were walking around when we spotted this gem. I just think this is the coolest place ever and it goes on forever space wise. When you first walk in you are greeted by the very friendly staff (its not a fake friendly either like some places). Then you look around and don't know where to start we just headed to the right and began our journey...the first room we ended up in was the party/decorations room it is was it is decorations! then if you head straight forward you will end up in the M&M room there were so many. Next is a hallway break-through with a photo booth, yes a photo booth. The photo booth is free which I think is really cool but it really stumps you at first because as I did wonder is it free or does it cost money. I noticed a lot of people just walking right by it but I assure you it is free and if you look on the little table by the door there are props you can use. It is such a cute idea. Now you don't get the photos printed out or anything but when your done you have 2 options 1. get all four photos or 2. get a link to a gif of them. Then after you decide that you have the option to post to face or twitter or have them e mailed to you. I had mine e mailed and then had them printed at Walgreens for $0.89. They came out perfect. Ok so enough about the photo booth. The next room you enter is a gummy bear room it has a larger than life gold gummy bear that tells you to rub its belly for good luck (I did.) So now on to the next room which is another hallway which has some pretty awesome candy. Next you enter the chocolate room which is made to look like a library with the ladder and all but don't try to use the ladder (you can't). Like I said this store goes on forever. I wont go into the rest of the store because I think everyone should experience it for themselves. Now another cool thing I really enjoyed and will be going back for is the soda fountain. Yes ladies and gentlemen they have a soda fountain! You can order milkshakes and malts and sundaes etc... Its pretty awesome. Price wise I would say its a little on the pricy side but you paying for all the odd candy you will never see anywhere else and the greatness of the store. As for the ambience I would say... Remember that scene in willy wonka (the original) where he goes into that candy store to buy the wonka bar? its just like that but modern and way better. I told everyone I know about this store because as I have said before I think it is just amazing! what more can I say? nothing really except just try it and you will see what I mean. Also I forgot to mention you can taste anything there just ask someone and they will help you. Tucked under the escalators in the lower level of Glendale Galleria, you enter into an old fashioned shop with distinctly themed out rooms or "realms" as I heard one of the workers call em. You can order per 1/2 lb or buy the set price of the containers (mason jars, tin cans, buckets) and you can fill them to the brim. QUICK TIP: Try the chocolate covered potato chips!! The store employees are very helpful and allow you to sample many of the offerings (especially in the Gummies and Chocolates section). A friend of mine and I came through here for some holiday treats. Denice helped us and made our entire experience more enjoyable and also, far easier and more convenient. She informed us of deals going on while helping us fill our candy jars and also gave us some free samples of candies! Her enthusiastic attitude and knowledge of the merchandise made it such a fun and seamless adventure. I got help from the most wonderful sales associate ever, and I feel my over all experience was well worth it. I loved the customer service Alex pointed me out to where the candy cigarettes were located. That would be the nostalgia room; however, I also had another beautiful girl she gave me some samples. And she even walked me to where the candies were at, her recommendations were pure bliss. Her name is Sara she was wearing a great smile, some chucks. I had her help me through out the whole process. I loved how she allowed me to try some samples because I tried the samples I ended up spending quite a bit on sweets. This is located inside the mall. I like this place more than sweet factory because they have more variety including international candies. The store is well organized. Each section has its own categories: gummies, jelly beans, chocolates, Asians, Canadians, Germans, Harry Potter, etcs It's a cute tourist shop, which also means it is expensive. I got myself some strawberry belts,One butterscotch beer (gross), and a bag of green tea Oreo and it was $25. They also have weird drinks and fizz drinks available. Glendale Galleria's Lolli and Pops. Their Burn One all the Way Down is Hell in a cup (thick chocolate shake. Chocolate =Devil's food :P.) The quality of the chocolate they use in addition to their malt powder is superior to that of other places. How do I know this? Buy a malt at Pasadena's Fair Oak pharmacy, Ruby's Diner and here; put the three malts in the fridge for one night and the next day the malt you still be willing and happy to drink will be the winner. Unfortunately the ice cream bar, which was one of the best features of the store, is no longer in operation. I enjoyed sitting at the counter having my ice cream. Not sure why it has taken me so long to write a review for this place but let me start off by saying....AMAZZZING. When this store opened up I literally was running from room to room like a little kid. Like the old candy store at the mall was your basic run of the mill candy store..get in get your candy get out. This store is seriously an experience. I always get something from here when I'm at the mall. The employees are also extremely nice and welcoming. One thing I have to comment on though is the ice cream bar. Seriously? the only menu available is on a clipboard and someone (a customer) is usually hogging it so that leaves everyone else in line waiting for that damn clipboard. Why not write it on the wall or someplace where it is in plain sight? Never got any ice cream because I was annoyed. read more

walked in here with my friend, decided to just look around but those chocolates caught my eye. At first i didn't know how to grab those chocolates in those huge jars. Then one of the workers help me out. Her name was Steph and she was the best. She gave me samples! ha! MY friend wanted to try the 100% dark chocolate but Steph (and the other coworker, Sorry i didn't get her name but she was amazing as well) warned us before we tried it. I love this store so much! It's so cute! Every time I come I bring my niece & get greeted by the most wonderful staff! At this point I only ever come for one employee, I think her name is Denise? She's the loveliest one of them all, her attention to detail is so sweet, she always knows how to make my little niece feel comfortable! However, I decided to stop by on Halloween around 5 PM. Denise was outside talking to trick or treaters with the most uplifting attitude! When I went inside I asked for the stores GM to let them know how great Denise makes us feel! I was greeted by Ashleee, I'm assuming a shift lead. However, when I asked for the GM, she said she had just left! What upset me was her lack of respect, she told me she "wasn't really doing anything. " As I walked around the store filling up our fillable, I found there to be cotton balls from Ashleee's costume. On top of that, there was candy littered all over the floor.. If anyone should have gone home, it should have been her. This is such a cute candy shop! So much attention went into the details you really have to take some time to walk through and marvel at it all. Each room is themed from party favor/m&m room, to a photo booth, gummis, chocos, international, honeys, traditional/old timey, a couple of refrigerators of ice cream & soda pops, an gourmet counter are just some of the features. There's more and the staff were very friendly and helpful. While it is rather pricy, if you need to find specialty sweets last minute for a party, for gifts, or just to treat yo' self, Lolli & Pops is a go to. They also recently opened a soda shop / ice cream parlor in the last few months with flavored sodas and floats and sundaes. I'm pretty obsessed. While the prices aren't cheap, they make up for it in the value of unique items and superior customer service. You can tell that the associates are genuinely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their products, and they are always looking for ways to be helpful. They asked me what I was allergic to and what kinds of candies I enjoyed so they could make better recommendations. I think I was recommended 6-8 different samples during my visit, and I ended up purchasing all of them. My favorites were the white chocolate covered pineapple gummy bears (!!!) and the sea salt caramel chocolates. The french mints (which I used to fill up my all-you-can-fill jar) are really refreshing with real peppermint oil. The only section I might not recommend is the Asian candies, because most of them are available at Asian supermarkets for cheaper. (But if you don't frequent Asian supermarkets, you're basically paying for the convenience. The selection is good!) read more

Don't take any little kids here, because they will guilt you into spending $35 on an appallingly small bag of candy. Also don't take any adults here... for the same reason. You will find excuses why you need to ""splurge on yourself for once"". I think they do it on purpose, I think it's psychological. The place is just too beautifully lit and organized and filled with abundant little flashes of colors in a multitude of languages in neatly stacked rows. You will leave with sweets you've never heard of in your life and you will enjoy sitting down and trying them. So yeah, on the plus side, it's pretty much heaven. Everything seems to be organized by types of sweet, further subdivided by country of origin or whatnot. Nothing is out of place. Prices range from slightly above supermarket prices to "...really? Is it like, made of solid f***ing GOLD?!" I don't mind as it's not cheap to rent a store in the Galleria. Extensive pick & mix section as well as a soda fridge with plenty of hard-to-find flavors. The downside? I think they've had problems with teenagers shoplifting candy before, which is really fair enough. But I didn't appreciate the multiple times they treated me like a nuisance instead of a customer. I almost wanted to put everything back and walk out. When I finally checked out, this saleswoman who was eyeing me said "oh, how nice, you've FINALLY finished!" Just... absurd. I guess that will simmer down once I grow out of my baby face, still perhaps the staff could use a Midol or two. read more

Went to GlendaleGalleria for the 1st time last week and immediately stepped in here- and found out it had just opened 2 wks previously!Loved the layout of continental Europe candy in a separate section, UK and Irish ones in a different section and a section for Asian+WestIndies candies. Happy to note that my must-have Cadbury Huge MadeinUK bars are available especially since it's very hard (even IN UK!) to find MadeInUK Cadbury bars any longer! Bought an assorted variety of chocs made in the 1930s factory in Manhattan as well as a pack of coconut candy from PapuaNewGuinea which is SO GOOD that I can't believe I've lived my life (so far) without knowing they exist!! Extra star is for the fact that you can taste anything from the assorted by weight section which is great as some stuff as just too sweet for me and therefore, am happy to just get 1 piece to share whilst others are sugarless and therefore, sky's the limit!! Will return to get the lavender sweets from France as well as tangerine drops from Italy! read more

My boyfriend introduced me to this place since he used to live in the area. But definitely coming back in the future. As pricy as it can be, with the jars, there is a refill token that I got so when I'm back there I can refill with a candy. I'm a gummy person. But the different rooms help every sweet tooth and the employees are super helpful in what you are looking for. One of the rooms was a little kid moment of old time candy. (10 points to your house if you get that reference :D ) This is such a fun shop full of all kinds of treats, ranging from vintage classics to international to high end. There's a little soda shop where we bought a shake and vanilla coke from, and they were just OK - don't think I'd spend that much money again on those items. Candy and chocolate stores are funny. The majority of them charge a premium for just a few pieces of their goods, yet they give away free samples of comparable amounts of the same goods. Why people still choose to pay for an even larger quantity is beyond me. Don't they know that candies and chocolates are bad for them in large quantities? The free sample quantities are best for moderation and health. This store offers free samples of pretty much whatever you want. Get only a sample and resist any temptation to pay the ballooned prices for larger quantities. read more

This place was so wonderful! Every child's dream! I was so impressed by the use of space and overall layout. It kind of had the vintage relaxing yet high end feel to it at the same time I loved how there was an old fashioned ladder attached to the bookcase nice touch. It reminded me of Charlie and the chocolate factory I was at first intimidatetd by the place but when I was helped by two lovely ladies, one named Autumn and the other named Steph I felt absolutely comfortable and excited to be there . Great candy store...a huge selection including chocolate that is difficult to find. I love the Butler white chocolate with berries which I've only found at Heathrow airport and a random shop in Boulder, CO. This place is literally the bees knees! I walked into this store and I seriously felt like I was transported back to the days where candy was actually sold just like this store front. First of all, they get serious props for playing the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory soundtrack. Secondly, they have an assortment of goodies I have never heard of and love! On top of all of the packaged goodies, there is a truffle counter and an honest to goodness soda fountain so you can eat, and drink, your sweets. They even carry beverages and some ice cream, even a couple of very unique beverages, such as ginger ale with pomegranate and hibicus, which I have never seen before, so I had to try it!
