I love Dylan's Candy Bar and discovered this store when I was in New York in 2010. I love all the retro candy probably because it reminds me of my childhood. I definitely have a sweet tooth that I love gummy bears and jellybeans. They have the coolest candy here! I love all the merchandise as well. I think I have a Dylan's candy bar hat somewhere in my closet. I highly recommend stopping in and taking pictures but don't eat too much sugar because it's sooo bad for you yet so tasty!

A must stop when at the grove. Great selection of candy and chocolates. Such a cheerful store with lots of fun candies. Great gift items as well. Customer service is friendly and attentive. Great location and ambiance.

    My favorite three-

With the exception of a quick visit to the Hudson Yards location last fall, I haven't set foot in here in well over ten years. What brought me back in was the fact I was craving-of all things-their chocolate bars that come in a large selection of dark, milk and a variety of other flavors. Greeted right away upon entering (although I entered with a couple other people so who knows who was actually being greeted), the staff here was great. Enthusiastic, and ready to help if needed. I pretty much zeroed in on what I wanted since it was right there in my eyeline, and I found my three favorites quickly. With no one in line, I was assisted immediately by another helpful employee at the register. He said they used to have another location in Hawaii somewhere, but since that one closed, the only ones that still exist is the one here at The Grove and the one in New York. Validated my ticket for 90 minutes, and I was on my way. Friendly guys working today which makes for a pleasant shopping experience. I already dug into the potato chip bar, and I'm looking forward to my other two, including my favorite peanut butter. Glad they're still open!

As soon as you walk inside Dylan's Candy Bar the aroma of sweetness welcomes you. Dylan's Candy Bar is so pretty looking and very inviting. The staff were excellent. They provided excellent customer service from the beginning of our interaction with them until the end after check out. Dylan's Candy Bar carries all the different types of candies and chocolate bars you can think of. They even carry some of the classics that other stores don't sell. The store is set up according to the different types of candies and chocolate bars and brands they sell. Everything is beautifully displayed and decorated. We found all the candies and chocolates we wanted. Thank you Dylan's Candy Bar. Will be back next week to satisfy our cravings.

This is one brightly colored candy shop and they have plenty of candy lol. There's old school chocolate bars, M&M dispenser, Jelly Belly, Dylan's candy bar lollipops, chocolate covered anything and ice cream. It's a kids sin city lol. Nice displays and layout and the staff was friendly. Thank you!

Talk about kid stuff n a candy store, Dylan's had me overjoyed by the assortment of candy and more that they had in stock. The candy was 9.95 per pound so we got 3 pounds and a few other treats. The staff were very helpful and attentive. 19/10 Yelp

    Cute decor.

Still a cute candy shop. The decor is adorable and colorful. Appears that hey got rid off the cotton candy making station unless they were off the day I went. They still have an ice cream station and offer a lot of cute prepackaged items, good for gifts and souvenirs. If you have a sweet tooth then this a good spot to come check out.

This candy bar is just ok in my opinion. It might be great for "today" kids who only like the gummy type candy. I think I was expecting more options like the candy options at its sugar. They do have a nostalgic candy wall in the back but not too many options there either. The store is decorated beautifully which probably attracts the crowd because of the look and not the candy options. If I was a kid I would definitely want to go into the store. They also have a ice cream/shake bar near the back. I didn't see any vegan or plant base options. The service was just ok. There wasn't any staff walking the floor to help with questions. Overall my experience was not the best but I might still go back to the store because it's at the grove and that's my favorite place to be.

Wont ever patronize this business because they close too early - 9pm is not acceptable when all the surrounding restaurants are open at 9:15pm

Dylan's Candy Bar Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Dylan's Candy Bar

Do they charge by weight? Is it expensive or affordable? Maybe compared to Sweets from Heaven

The bulk candies are priced by weight, but most are a set price for a bar or a box. As for expensive or affordable, look at the location. This Dylan's outlet sits on some of the most expensive real estate in the Los Angeles area. Think "tourist"…

Do they have edible cookie dough?

Yes, is the short answer. They have edible cookie dough in various forms including bars and balls and I've heard they even have cookie dough gummies.

The historic shop has a charming old-fashioned feel, and the service was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. Every mochi tasted incredibly fresh, with a soft, pillowy texture that showcased the craftsmanship behind each handmade piece. **Sho-Mochi: 5/5** One of Fugetsu-Do's signature creations, the Sho-Mochi was a true standout. The vibrant blue mochi was incredibly soft and chewy, while the silky white chocolate ganache filling delivered a rich, creamy sweetness that melted effortlessly on the palate. **Strawberry Anko Mochi: 4/5** The strawberry anko mochi featured a soft, pillowy wrapper filled with a blend of strawberry and smooth white bean paste, then topped with a hazelnut chocolate ganache that added a rich, nutty sweetness. Unfortunately, the strawberry filling tasted somewhat artificial, lacking the fresh, vibrant fruit flavor I was hoping for. **Green Tea Mochi: 5/5** My love for matcha made this an easy standout. Filled with smooth white bean paste infused with matcha, it offered a pleasant balance of earthy, slightly bittersweet notes and subtle sweetness. **Mango Mochi: 5/5** Bursting with natural mango flavor, this mochi was wonderfully refreshing from the very first taste. Its springy chew created a pleasantly airy, satisfying texture, while the gentle sweetness rounded out the bright, fruity notes. Fugetsu-Do has earned its legendary reputation through generations of exceptional craftsmanship. I believe their outstanding mochi shop is the keystone to all of little tokyo and it's a must visit when you are in the area. They have fruity mochi and you can sometimes get it filled with red bean. Recently, they've had a Shohei Ohtani special, where it's a blue mochi filled with white chocolate ganache. My favorite is their chocolate mochi as it's simple, chewy, sweet, and delicious. In my visit this weekend, we got this blueberry mochi that was filled with the same white chocolate ganache that was in the shohei special. If you look around their storefront, you might find some hidden gems on the shelves. I got a salted caramel kit kat bag that was not cheap; however, it's also pretty hard to find. Overall, this is a gem and a pillar in the community!

When they had penny candy machines, a big taxidermy deer head and the kindest owner. He once gave me and my sibling a big paper lunch bag full of candies! It has such a selection of candy from your childhood, and for kids, random unique gifts to keep them busy. but yesterday...all that flew out the window. I approached the sandwich counter and asked the person working (an angry woman apparently) what her favorite sandwiches are. After she took a minute to complain about how she had been making sandwiches all day and her brain is fried and she didn't really have any recommendations for me (and was seemingly annoyed at me even asking) she looked at the clock and advised that I was 2 minutes too late to order a hot sandwich. literally the 2 minutes she took to complain about her job cost me the sandwich. now, if it was my shop and a nice family came in and asked me my opinion on something and I took a minute or two to say the things that she said I would give them a sandwich and make that sandwich be the last sandwich of the day, but instead apparently my money wasn't green enough for her. She shut it down and two minutes later was out the door. she was rude, and honestly it just seemed that she didn't give an F. Today I called the store to speak with the owner and the person who answered the phone gave me the runaround. it was clear that either the workers didn't want to connect me with the owner or the owner doesn't want to hear the complaint. this place has gone downhill.
