A Lolli and Pops It's been too long since I've seen one of these. They sell older candies and sodas of our childhood. They seem to stock items that remind us of days of yore. This little store had a wonderful employee. She was sharing information on the area. Now usually they stock macaroons but have been out for months. Truly that is too bad. The stores selection of candy was rough. The store was organized and spread out where it looked nice and clean. If you do not get shipments then you have to use what is available. 3 1/2 stars: We went on a Sunday to get a bag of candy from a birthday gift card. My kids loved it, we did grab a few bottom of the bin candies and found out later they were stale so had to throw a few pieces away later that day. The sale person was helpful enough, we got there as he was opening ( lights were turning on when we walked in) so he was busy getting items set up. Overall, I'm sure my kids would want to go back. The workers were really nice and helpful. The way the layout of the store was made it difficult to know the prices of some of the items. The employee wasn't sure upon asking, but they did a price check for me at the register :). The chocolate itself is decent, but the overall quality wasn't great. The packaging felt rather cheap as the gluing made it difficult to open the bar and access the chocolate. Given the high price point, I don't think I will purchase it again in the future aside from special occasions. I got a few chocolate bars, but the one pictured in red velvet. read more

lolli and pops is a cool and large candy shop that is located in two nearby malls on the Saint Mathews area of Louisville Kentucky. This particular location is in the oxmoor center mall. Exactly the same setup and design as it's sister site less then a half mile down the road in the Saint Mathews mall this store offers all sorts of varieties of candies and flavors. My kids love coming in this store and browsing. The saying "a kid in a candy store" is a real life thing. Pricing is hit and miss. They can be high but there is also a candies you can't find at other local places in a store front. So that's nice to have the variety. Overall I enjoy both the local lolli pops candy stores. I often wonder why they built there two locations so close and haven't ventured to other locations inside out me city. The giant gummy bear statues is always a fun picture op for kids and adults alike. read more

I've ventured past Lolli and Pops several times in Oxmoor. Happy to have finally gotten the chance to go inside. And what a little candy wonderland it is! Its walls were stocked with so much, including seasonal candy, a cotton candy wall, Asian candy, nostalgic old-times candy, jelly beans, chocolates and more. They also have empty tins you can fill up and make a gift out if. I actually ventured in to see if they had any Rice Krispie treats -- a fave of my son. And lo and behold, they have an entire wall of them in many flavors. I went with the classic with sprinkles on top, though the s'mores and pumpkin "Crispy Cakes" looked good too. Wow! I heard about this place since it opened and was enthused when I had the chance to walk in! I didn't buy anything, but enjoyed the free samples of gummy bears one of the girls was handing out. They've got candy from all over the world and even stuff from your childhood. It's a dream! For a child or adult! The customer service is great! One girl approached us and told us about how it all works. You can pay to refill a jar for eternity or you can do other time frames. What a great gift for your kid or someone who really loves candy! But you don't have to do the jar thing. You can buy different bars of chocolate, boxes, and individual pieces. Some stuff seemed cheap and some seemed pricey, but I don't buy candy much. Next time, I'm buying something though! Glad to see this addition to our city. It's apparently a franchise with 55 locations already! read more

This is a new spot in Oxmoor Mall and yet I am stunned that more of you aren't writing about it. Also through Yelp I've discovered the store can be located in Mall st. Matthews as well. Because we are frequent visitors of the Disney Store and Starbucks, finding Lolli and Pops was not difficult. Its open windows and throwback employee outfits of long ago candy shops made it quite hard to resist walking inside. Right inside you will find an enclosed glass display full of individual candies that can be sold by the piece or wait. Several of the beginning shelves and tables are also filled with the store brand items. And then it gets even more fun as you move through the store! There's a space for Asian candies and European chocolates, also candies of our childhood, and gummies that would take you an entire year to eat because they are so large. Not to mention the rice crispy treat that's bigger than a board game. All the way in the back of the store is an oversized statue of a gummy bear and underneath that bear he will sign gummies and various flavors. A couple of the store employees were also walking around, passing out samples. What they will be known for is the jar you can purchase and then bring back in for refills. The original jar is $12.50 but when you come back in you only pay $5. This is so much fun! Whether you like chocolate or sugar candy, you're going to be able to find lots of variety. I think the jar is going to be a great gift idea as well so that the receiver can bring it in and pick even more candy on their own. Now it's true that some of the candy that you're going to find will be a bit expensive but it will also be unique and very tempting to make the splurge. Regardless of your budget or number of family members, you will be able to find something that your family can afford. Some items are less than $2. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I'm 46 years old and this is my first time leaving a review that's how awful my first (and last) experience with Lolli & Pops inside the St. Mathew's Mall in Louisville Ky. I can't remember the name of the only employee in there so I'll just say I was in there July 18th 2023 near closing time...My daughter and I travel from eastern Ky sometimes to visit the Louisville Zoo. We always have fun at this mall too but it closes at 8pm so on this day as we were making our way to the exit we saw Lolli & Pops, I checked my phone, Ive worked my whole life I wouldn't go in and shop anywhere right at closing time but it was 7:43 (unless an iPhone 13 and a iPhone 10 are wrong,) I figured 17 min was more than enough time in a candy store because what we wanted wouldn't take 2-3 minutes tops. So we walk in and there's a young girl behind the counter messing with the safe, and I kindly ask "can we buy some macaroons?" I swear to all reading this it was eerie the way she slowly turned her head and glared at me.. not saying a word and without blinking she just stared at me, lol. It was insane. When I asked a second time "can we buy a couple macaroons real quick?" she got visibly angry and I was seriously confused as to why? I was extremely uncomfortable. & wishing I'd never even passed by this place. The store was open, the doors were open, the sign said OPEN- closing at 8. We had money to spend on the overpriced sweets and it would only take 2-3min's tops. So wtf was her problem? It couldn't be because they closed in 17 minutes? That's ridiculous. So I didn't understand why she was so hostile. Then for the third time I asked my question a different way I said "you have 17 minutes till closing so can we buy something real quick?" and without missing a beat she sarcastically & loudly squealed back at me (while mocking my accent) "YEAH! SURE THING! AFTER ALL I HAVE 17 MINUTES!" I just about lost it.. but I was here with my kid. While this was going on a nice looking older gentleman walked in on his phone with someone explaining to him which Candy they needed him to pick up, it was a simple bag of one specific kind, no big deal, right? Wrong! She openly sighed and glared at all 3 of us with a look of disgust on her face, I actually thought her head was gonna explode when he walked in and asked her "do you have a bag Mam?" (to scoop the candy in) and she squealed back at him "SIR IF YOU'LL JUST LOOK AROUND THEY'RE ALL OVER THE STORE!" Embarrassed he quietly replied "ok." He was actually only asking her because almost all the bag holders were empty! Then it was time to pay- we bought 2 Macarons (they only had 4 flavors available,) also MAYBE a handful of chocolate covered cashews (weighed out in a bag) and a 1 Rock Candy Sucker... $35. LOL whatever.. I would have paid double to get the hell out of there. I don't and won't advise anyone to ever go to Lolli & Pop in St Mathew's Mall Louisville unless they want to be made to feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, disrespected, and made fun of. read more

Go somewhere locally owned. The money stays here in the community when you do which helps everyone. Go somewhere where the people are polite and want your money. The people who work here are so unfriendly and if I, as a white man, am being treated like a shoplifter then I am sure everyone gets treated like garbage. Go somewhere that the candy isn't fabulously over-priced. All of this stuff is available at locally-owned, lower-priced businesses not to mention Walmart, Meijer, Target, and Kroger. They do offer a wide array of candy from around the world. They do offer candy branded in vintage packaging. So do other people for less money where that money will stay in the community and sold by people who at least pretend like they want you there in the store. As someone who grew up outside of the United States, I am used to and ready to pay a king's ransom for something I grew up with that you don't normally have in the United States or in a small town like Louisville. You have no idea how much I budget for nostalgia around the holidays and special family events. Customer service would have gone a long way to maybe giving me a reason to give you another look. read more

It's aesthetically pleasing and all the treats are neatly organized by types; hard candies, gummies, chocolates etc. They offer a wide variety of candies you can bag yourself as well as many that are pre-packaged. The employees are friendly and helpful. You can't beat samples! They have several container options you fill for a set price then bring back and pay only a refill price. Nice right?! Best place to go to get that sugar fix! If you've got a sweet tooth this is the place to be. A LARGE variety of packaged and pay by the weight candy. I love getting the gummy bears by the weight and mixing and matching my flavors. They've even got some really out of the box flavors such as Irish cream and margarita! I also love all the novelty sodas and candies from the different time periods. You can also get imported candies from different countries such as Twix flavors you can only get in japan. You can get refillable jars too! And when you bring them back in to refill you get a discount! read more

Store smelled like sewage and the two young girls working the shop were so rude to us and the other family inside. One snapped at a child trying to get candy out of a container. It's hard for adults to scoop gummies with large metal scoops. Tongs or gloves would be really helpful. Lots of empty containers. We like our local store but I would not recommend this one. read more

I used to only go to Oxmoor on the rare occasions that I needed something from Gap, Banana, Dick's, or H&M. Then there were the occasions I visited with previous girlfriends that were doing their Victoria Secret shopping(I'm not one of those guys that sit out on the bench waiting. Bra technology is just as interesting as any other technology. I wish guy underwear would evolve to something more interesting already). Then the outlets opened in Simpsonville and the need to go to Oxmoor stopped which sucks because I think Oxmoor is one of the best malls around and it's certainly the best in Louisville. I'm here to tell you that there's a reason to go to Oxmoor again and that's for Lolli and Pops! I continued to see pics posted and the few reviews that are here. You guys know that I love to have good snacks. There are a few different aspects to this store. I'm going to list those aspects instead of writing about it. -- Gummy candy by the pound. Unfortunately, it's on the pricier side so I'd suggest going in with a budget. -- They have world sections; Candy from Asia, Europe, Mexico, and so on. Some of that candy can be found in your regular store while others can't be found. There's always Amazon but it's usually more expensive than it is at this store. Don't interpret that the wrong way though because it's still a few more dollars than it should be(since it's in a mall and since they likely order it in bulk from other countries). -- They have interesting candy bars branded as Lolli & Pops candy bars. The only I almost bought was Jalapeno and Almonds(or Peanuts... I can't remember). They have quite a few flavors to choose from. -- They also have other fruit and chocolate packaged candy. Prices vary. -- Lolli also has a display case with truffles available for purchase. I meant to buy some this time but I completely forgot they were there until I checked out and was leaving. They have plenty of employees that are there to help if you need it. You're sure to find new candy, old candy, and things you've never heard of. They even have unicorn farts in a bag! It's cotton candy people but I almost bought it for the packaging! I was so overwhelmed that I had to pause so that I didn't drop 100 bucks on candy! I'm definitely going back and picking up other candy. One thing to note... the gummy candy they have by the pound; Some of it can be bought at the Highlands candy store for much cheaper. With that being said, I did see some flavors/things at Lolli & Pops by the pound that I haven't seen elsewhere. Since some of the things are on the expensive side here, my one piece of advice is to make a trip here with what you want to spend or you'll be walking away with an empty wallet... you'll have a lot of candy though! Local candy shops are still great but to be a mall candy store... some of it is over the top but they still have things that you just aren't going to find in local candy shops. The only thing I don't like about this candy store is that it's in Oxmoor and not St Matthews. Now... I despise the Mall of St Matthews but I do go there for the movies on occasion. If Lolli & Pops was attached to that mall, I'd certainly go and buy candy for a movie instead of buying it from the theater. With that being said, I still might pop over to Oxmoor, buy some candy, and take it with me to the theater. If you're in Oxmoor and you have a sweet tooth, Lolli & Pops is a must visit! read more

Enjoyed this sweet place! (No pun intended.) It's a super fancy luxurious candy land boutique. It's like a build-a-bear but candy-gummy-bear version. I love the whole vintage, Mary-Antoinette candy land vibes. The customer associates were kind, inviting, and looked super snazzy in their cute candy uniforms always smiling and so helpful. I went into this shop with a friend, not expecting to leave with any candy because I am vegan and have certain allergens as well. I was disappointed up until I reached the back of the store and saw a little allergen free candy section with most of the candy labeled as vegan! I was ecstatic, since I have not been about to shop in candy stores for a while. Although it was a fairly tiny section of the store, it's a start and I'm glad that anyone can enjoy candy here. I stumbled into Lolli and Pops on, of all days, their grand opening in the Oxmoor Mall. It's so whimsical and charming via the mint and gold decor. The staff is also matching via branded clothing and hats. You can sample anything bulk - and there's plenty of it - and the associates also went around with set candy and chocolate for people to try. I was mesmerized the most by the gummy bear section: mojito, pina colada, rose champagne, orange and creme, peach, strawberry...the varieties keep going (orange and creme was my fave). They have everything categorized so it's fairly able to find your interest ie international, throwbacks, etc. You can either get your bulk candy in baggies OR take a more sustainable approach by purchasing a glass jar (multiple sizes available) that is brought back for refilling. I took a medium size, which was $12.50 for the jar + candy and $5 for future refills. The fills are for any bulk, meaning you mix chocolate, sours, whatevs. Did I mention they have truffles? The downfall is non-bulk feels slightly expensive (decked out chocolate bars were around $12-15). However, I think their rewards program more than makes up for it.
