I have been here many times for over a decade, but I will not gatekeep anymore. Baked japanese milk tea. That's it. Other lollicups (or Teazones) I've been to don't offer this drink, and the only other location I know that does, closed down. This is my only place left so I am writing a review to make sure they stay in business! I have not found another milk tea that tastes like this. Closest I've gotten is a genmaicha, which makes sense. My boyfriend also loves the popcorn chicken here and the story is the same. Something about it can't be replicated at other stores and we can't pinpoint what is different. This has always been my go to place for popcorn chicken and today when I tried to place the order for pick up at 8:17pm - mind you they close at 9pm, they said they closed the kitchen already. I've ordered plenty of times before and this is the first time where the kitchen has closed almost 45 minutes before their actually closing time. I asked when this started bc I've never heard of this before and she said it's a new thing and that they'll close the kitchen either at 8:20p or 8:25p but today because it was busy they closed the kitchen even earlier LOL. Not sure how that makes sense but I guess everyone needs to plan to order food an hour before closing in case they decide it's too busy and they're going to shut it down randomly. The drink was tasty, but the boba could use some work. We haven't been here in years, but decided to come back and see if there's been any changes. The menu is still the same and offers a decent variety of options to choose from. I recommend trying any of the fruit teas and flavored iced teas if you're not familiar with the franchise. * Lychee Fruit Tea: 10/10 - flavor and sweetness were perfect * Passion Fruit Green Tea: 9/10 - very sweet and tart but still enjoyable * Boba (Topping): 6/10 - soft but not chewy at all The interior is very nice with a long booth and couch to enjoy hanging out with friends. We didn't have to wait too long for our drinks, and the worker was also quite nice. It's located in the Mall of Fortune Plaza, so you should be able to find parking very easily. Ordered calamari, tofu and pop chick of course. Cashier said I had one free sauce for the pop chick. I ask her about the pepper sauce but she says she hasn't tried it. Guess training hasn't happened yet. Then I ask if I get any sauces with the other items, turns out tofu gets sweet chili but nothing for the calamari?!? Shame. So I say give me the sweet and sour and sweet chili and I'll pay the extra 50 cents for the Asian aioli. I super psyched to try these sauces. Cut to home and the sauces. Like WTF actually happened? Before I came to this location, I went and did my little research. People made the portions look generous. I paid $12.83 for a small sleeve bag of popcorn chicken.. honestly felt like less than 10 pieces of chunky size bites of chopped chicken. And idc if people think I'm exaggerating.. because this is how I truly felt. I'm a cook myself and I know for the amount of chicken they gave me.. it probably was less than 1 whole chicken breast / thigh. I understand times are hard right now, prices are up almost everywhere.. but it's one thing to charge so much for an appetizer and not give a generous amount. Also, with this franchise being Asian owned.. I'm so disappointed in how cheap they are with their sauces. Since when did sweet and sour sauces be given in ketchup like packets? Idc but I need me my homemade / made from scratch sauce. Such a disappointment. Now.. I'm big on my milk teas.. I like to give places a chance when it comes to me trying their milk teas... by far.. this does not compare to my favorite milk tea from 85 Bakery. I tasted more of the sugar than the milk. Seeing these reviews, I gotta give Lollicup some justice especially with this location. I understand some people don't like lollicup as a franchise, but let me tell you why it's actually a hidden gem, especially the Westminster location... coming from a fan of 10+ years and especially from the beginning when the owners were previously operating Teazone before name changing and franchising. Drinks: I've tried almost their entire menu and not one drink has made me upset or not want to finish my cup. Drinks do water down so best to drink them asap! They also have a really good value deal ( i forget the price but I think it was 3.29) if you would like to try other flavors or can't commit to one. Here are some drinks I like to rotate between: Royal Milk Tea - no place does it like this. Smooth, milky... a family favorite! Thai tea slush with grass jelly and whipped cream: this combo never disappoints and surprisingly is a great drink that attracts the sweet tooths (like me) and even non-sweet drinkers like my family Green/Jasmine milk tea: slightly floral but you can still taste the tea. So good paired with sweet boba Hazelnut milk tea/slush: so good and the hazelnut is the right amount that I wish coffee places had to bring out the flavor. Mango Slush: tastes like the mango jelly from asian stores but better! Top it off with lychee jelly and boba and you got a delicious drink! All in all, I haven't hit a miss with the drinks. In my opinion, boba here is the best - soft and chewy and I actually get a mix between big and mini boba. The hardest thing for boba spots regarding boba is getting texture right AND flavor, and the sweetness is perfect for me. Food: Amazingly seasoned, crispy, and a MUST when getting Lollicup. No place makes popcorn chicken like this, although bopomofo texture is similar (but not as crispy!). No food has ever missed in flavor or texture. My continuous go tos are the medium spicy popcorn chicken, spicy lemon wings, and calamari. Soooo good. I've also been a fan of their tofu bites and french fries as well although I get these more often with friends as quantity is a lot more! Service: usually very quick although a longer wait for food, which is worth it for the taste! I also order ahead sometimes to just pick up and they're usually prompt and time the preparation with my estimated arrival so that food isn't cold and waiting for me to pick up. Talk about considerate! Parking: parking lot does get tight due to other stores in the area, but I honestly haven't had an issue. If you park far, you can also get steps in before feasting at lollicup. Lol Overall Consensus: what other boba places consistently have drinks/boba you can count on AND delicious food? Usually, it's one or the other, or this place specializes in coffee or matcha or whatever, but not every place can be a great all-rounder like this one. I will be very sad if this place ever closes down as it's been my comfort / guilty pleasure for so many years and I've brought so many friends to. This post is pretty biased so you can take my opinion like a grain of salt but I've had so many good drink spots in my life, yet I always come back to this one. Their popcorn chicken is super consistent and I never have any issues with the taste. My criticism is for their fried tofu: - the spice level is not consistent, I usually get "medium" which is never the same amount of spice each time. - sometimes the tofu seasoning itself is very bland or lacking (not enough is used) - sometimes the tofu seasoning is too sweet There needs to be a better way to standardize the fried tofu. While everyone else ordered milk tea, I decided to try the Watermelon Juice Special. I really liked it. It was very refreshing. And it was actually not too sweet at all. I usually adjust the sugar level, but it didn't offer that option on the online ordering app. And the tapioca texture was really good. My cousin who rarely gets bubble tea with us decided to try the French Roast Milk Coffee Special, and she loved it. She said she would definitely get this drink again next time. read more

I have been to this location many times over the years. I have tried the boba milk tea, popcorn chicken, and matcha green tea slush. The matcha green tea used to be really good! They changed the ingredients recently and it has not been the same. I've tried coming back hoping it would change or maybe it was different for just one day. But its just not the same. I was coming here 3x/week for the match green tea :/ The popcorn chicken is still one of my favorite thing there. Might be one of the best popcorn chicken around the area. Parking is not bad- its located in a very busy complex but you can usually find parking without a problem. The place is fairly new and modern. This is one of my go-to boba spots near home! The shopping center that Lollicup is located in is always s o crowded, but luckily finding parking is not impossible at all. The inside of the store is decorated elegantly and is always sparkling clean. The employees are sweet and helpful, and they regularly offer helpful suggestions of what to get. Lollicup offers samples of various drinks if you simply ask and have delicious foods ready for purchase, such as fish balls (my personal favorite), fries, and popcorn chicken, to name a few. The only downside about this location is there always seems to be a minimum charge of X amount of dollars to use debit/credit card. Be prepared to bring cash if you only want one drink! Another plus is that they offer an affordable value size alternative for drinks, which is pretty convenient for people like me! The ones who are craving boba, but simply aren't committed to finishing an entire cup. My all time favorite drink here would have to be the green milk tea with mini boba. Tofu was perfectly hot and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. When I ask for spicy at other boba places, their spiciest is mid. Here, spicy is actually spicy, which I love! read more

Average to lower tier place for boba. It makes boba, pretty good price, nothing special. They do a little bit of everything - kind of a jack of all trades when it comes to Asian snack/dessert but master of none. It's okay for a quick, money-conscious stop, but if you want quality over quantity, this isn't really the place for you to go to. Drinks: Their drinks are kind of muddy-looking. The milk teas are definitely too sweet and syrupy for me. I haven't explored that many drinks. I've gotten the black tea before, and it's kind of bitter and too muddy-looking.. Not sure what they put in it. Food: I mainly come here for the bento boxes. I think for the amount of food they give, it's pretty worth the money. The popcorn chicken is decent. There's a good amount of rice. The vegetables aren't exactly fresh, but they're not bad. You can add a drink for $1, but I don't really think that's worth it. I've had their Hong Kong egg puffs, and they're alright. A little over done, but not too bad. There aren't that many places that sell this. I always order these two drinks and they are always consistent: strawberry banana snow smoothies with mini boba and green milk tea and regular boba. The strawberry banana is a perfect blend of the two fruit flavors best of both worlds mini boba is a plus not many boba shops have mini boba these days. I've made a monthly pilgrimage here since December 2019 (until stay-at-home orders happened in March 2020) as they hosted several fan-organized birthday cup sleeve events for members of BTS. I love coming here because: 1) their drinks, 2) decently sized place where I don't feel like I'm smushed with everyone, 3) plenty of free parking in this plaza, 4) their support of hosting fan-organized events, and 5) always willing to use my personal boba tumbler for drinks (I get to save the planet, man!) I usually get the black tea or thai tea here, but I was super happy to try their special drink creation for j-hope's birthday in February 2020 that looked just like Mang, the BT21 character created by j-hope. The drink was taro jasmine milk tea topped with blue cheesefoam and a strawberry marshmallow. It looked and tasted delicious! Their popcorn chicken also hits the spot if you need a snack to get you through the day. One thing to note is that they do have a $5 minimum for credit cards, so if your drink would be under $5 (which mines usually is), it's a great reason to go for a larger size or add in a snack, as I would.
