This has always been my go-to spot, even though I live in Riverside and have a location much closer to me! I was so excited when they brought back my favorite drink, but lately they've become really stingy. They now charge extra to top off a drink with no ice. I've been going to Tastea since I was a teen and it's a classic. I don't really go inside much anymore and like that they have the app and a pickup window! They're always really fast with service nowadays since there's so many different Tastea locations, but I remember when this used to be the only one in Garden Grove and it was always bustlin! I always get the same things, my tried and true!! The peach me sweet tea with aloe vera chunks, or the wintermelon milk tea with honey boba. They used to have a matcha green thai tea that was also one of my go-tos, but it looks like it's no longer on their menu. Boba is soft, drinks are perfectly crafted, and they are consistent every time. They suggested I call another location, so I did. I was told they were sold out as well, but they could make the mochi or sago (whatever it was) in about 10 minutes. Since it would take me about 10 minutes to get there, I asked if I could just order ahead of time through the app and was told to wait 5 minutes to do so. When I arrived, I was told it would take another 10 minutes, then 5 minutes, and I still had to wait because the supervisor had to approve something? I have worked in food service, specifically at another Tastea location, so I understand that things happen and I try to be patient. Yummy boba drinks! I ordered the Thai Oreo Milk Tea. It sounds good in theory. Practically though, the Thai flavor and Oreo don't really mix together lol I found that out the hard way. It was still fun to try it out though! The boba was nice and chewy. My husband got a milk tea and Tiger milk tea. He liked both drinks, but said the tiger milk tea was too sweet for him. Ordered my drinks via the mobile app as we were driving to the plaza and it was ready super quickly - within 5 minutes! I got the bootea shaker light sweetness with boba and it was perfectly sweet and love that it comes with additional jelly toppings. Really enjoyed the tea flavor. As I was driving to the other tea place that I found on Yelp, noticed Tastea in this shopping center so decided to give them a try instead. It was around 4:00 pm so I didn't want anything with caffeine in it and ended up ordering the Mango All the Way slushy. Asked for 30% sugar. The drink was full of mango flavor but way way too sweet for me. I wondered if they forgot my special request and gave me full sugar level instead? I even bought a cup of ice from another store and tried to pour some of the slushy over to water it down but it was still way too sweet. Ended up throwing it away after about two to three sips most. It was more of a full cup of sugary drink with mango syrup flavor for $7.50. What a waste! 3 stars for the flavor and service from the one guy there, which appeared to be the owner. Super crowded when my group went, but they were pretty quick. We tried the new oreo funnel stix and pandan drinks! The funnel stix were good, but the pandan drinks didn't have much pandan flavor, especially the smoothie. It tasted only like oreos. Definitely were a bit sad about it. read more

I got the peach lychee tea, feel like at 50% its still pretty sweet so def want to lower ur sugar level when buying here. This is the original Tastea location, and it's got so much history for me. It opened when I was just finishing high school -- I was 17 or 18 -- and this place was the hangout spot. One of the first big boba spots around, and easily the most popular. All my friends worked here, everyone came through -- it was the place to be. When they dropped the green boba, it was game over. People were lining up. Even now, with so many new tea shops everywhere, this one still holds up. My go-to drink is the Peach Me Sweetea -- still undefeated. When I want something simple (and cheaper), the Simple Black Iced Tea always hits. Lately, though, I've been obsessed with their ranch fries. They used to have the buttload fries -- not my favorite seasoning -- but this new ranch version? So good. Everything's fresh, hot, and made to order. Honestly, I've come here just for the fries sometimes and forget to get a drink. I never get the boba, but the drinks and those ranch fries? Nowhere else does it like this. I got a peach me sweetea with green tea and lychee jelly and my brother got the jasmine milk tea. Both drinks were made well. We also got fries to share! I always go to tastea , usually never a problem. but whenever i go to this tastea somethings always wrong. fries are stale or over-seasoned sometimes not seasoned at all, boba is mushy, and teas lack flavor. This is place is one of my favorite tastea locations. I know tastea locations try to keep the taste consistent from one location to the next, but everytime I order my favorite drink, this location does it best. It wasn't until earlier this year that I started trying the tiger milk tea. If you like milk tea, the tiger milk tea is like an elevated version. The tea is sweet just how I like it, adorn with their brown sugar syrup, and layers of creme brulee pudding. It's heaven. I have been here a couple of times and their drinks are the BEST on slushy, teas, and smoothies. I got to try their ice blended coffee for the first time. Since I have their free 20oz coupon on iced blended coffee either choosing chillin' mocha or caramel craze. I got their Carmel craze I would give it a 4/5 since this drink was 50% less sweet (that's the sweetness I got), which you can adjust the sweetness. It tastes a lot of caramel not too bitter & not too sweet it reminds me of the Starbucks caramel ribbon Frappuccino. The service was fast & employees are very nice and friendly. The store has a great atmosphere, spacious, and seating area to wait for your beverage. If you have the tastea app, you can get free items or discount sometimes. Summer is definitely already here and last Saturday night we were craving a fresh drink, it was already 10:30 so places were closed, EXCEPT for Tastea! We were ecstatic to see that they stay open til 12 and when we arrived it was definitely POPPIN! There were so many people grabbing a drink, and rightfully so because their drinks were delicious! It was fast and friendly service, very convenient ordering through the kiosk, and about 5-6 minutes of waiting. It was cute and clean inside, and they play music outside for those who are waiting. Sometimes it is too icy (not blended well enough), or sometimes it lacks the real avocado flavor (perhaps the avocado is not ripe enough or not enough is used). The service is always amazing. If you don't enjoy your drink, they will remake it for you.
