It's like a big clear boba stuffed with a crumbly centered mild cheese center. Apparently it's a must try and it's quite interesting but probably not something we love. Probably won't get it again. I went into this boba shop, thinking it was still Lollicup fresh. Turns out, it had turned into Bambi Boba and Coffee. I ordered the chocolate milk tea and the matcha ice blended. The cashier was not friendly at all, it was my first time there and I wanted to know what topping I could put in my drink, but she didn't response. A lot of the reviews mentioned that the employees have a "poker face" and I experienced that. Unfortunately, the chocolate milk tea was not as good as Lollicup Fresh's. Instead, it was watered down. I hardly tasted any chocolate, just milk and water. In addition, the Matcha ice blended was not what I expected. It did not have a matcha taste at all, just an artificial sweet taste. Therefore, I doubt they used any real matcha powder, just some cheap sugary sweet stuff with fake coloring. The ambiance was cute, but it didn't compare to what the store used to be. This was my first time having Vietnamese egg coffee. It was very thick and creamy. Maybe it was just an off day for their business, but like other people said in their reviews that the staff wasn't really friendly and had a poker face. Also, because this is my 1st time having it and I'm lactose intolerant even though I took 2 lactose pills, my stomach was dying and I was cramping and I needed to go to the bathroom, but they wouldn't let me. As paying customers, we should have access to their restroom, but they wanted all to their employees. If you can see a customer in dire need, then you should offer it up. I understand it's not a public restroom, but come on for paying customers you still refuse that's just not a good customer service. The only good thing I liked was their decor wall. Our recent visit to Bambi Boba was disappointing, to say the least. From the moment we walked in, the staff was not friendly or welcoming, which was a stark contrast to our first experience. The first time we came, the drinks were okay, but the owner's sister was there, and her excellent service made us feel appreciated, prompting us to return to support the business. Unfortunately, this visit was different. Not only had the service declined significantly, but the drinks were also nearly undrinkable. I ended up throwing mine away after just two sips. Instead of using real fruit, they rely on canned fruit, and what they claim as coconut is just plain coconut milk. The flavors were cheap, lackluster, and bland. My shake tasted like water with a few drops of chocolate--nothing more. This experience was disappointing and left us feeling like we'd visited one of the worst boba spots we've ever tried. I stopped by after lunch for a drink and after seeing all the pictures, I knew I had to give Bambi a try. Their menu is pretty well varied from lattes to teas. Service here was great with the cashier answering any questions I had and offering recommendations based on what we liked! I got the Ube Pandan Latte which I would give a 4/5. It was creamy and flavorful although I will say the pandan flavor overpowered the ube flavor but it was still a delicious drink! My drink was around $5.50 which is the case for most of their more fancier drinks! Their fruit teas were a bit cheaper around $4.50. Drinks also come out relatively fast with the wait being just a few minutes! I liked that they have a variety of mixed boba to choose from (matcha, butterly peach, brown sugar, etc) They give you a good amount of boba and the texture is really good! Completely forgot about this place served Vietnamese style boba drinks that I used to like with all the homemade toppings and lots of them too. Unfortunately we can't sample the drinks because it's made to order but my favorite is the butterfly latte, it's creamy and has a butterfly flower flavor. We also tried the black milk tea today and it is very similar to the ones I had from my recent Vietnam trip. I love the special homemade toppings and the cheese balls, they are also generous with the toppings. Vietnamese style boba will have a lot of toppings and you will need a spoon to scoop as you're drinking for those that aren't familiar. Bambi used to be my favorite boba shop in Bolsa because the drinks are tasted 90% similar to what I had back in Vietnam. On Sunday 9/28 around 9:20pm I came with my friends because I loved the Milo Dam as well as my friends are. We came and looked for the drinks on the menu because we want to order different drinks too. The cashier was giving us the attitude and extremely rude made us feel like we are working there not the customer. All 3 of us were extremely uncomfortable. From the outside they look like just another boba shop in Little Saigon .... but once you look at the menu, your world will turn upside-down. They specialize in Vietnamese style boba with crazy toppings I never had before like Butterfly Pea, Milk Cube, Cheese or Matcha boba.....and so much more!! It's like a modern Che drink but with your choice of milk tea, latte, fruit soda, slushie, yogurt or ice blended form. They even offer milk cap toppings such as egg cream, cheese cream and tiramisu cream. And if that is not enough they also make their own boba everyday. Now that's impressive! More importantly the drinks were delicious. I tried the Triple Berry Fruit Tea with homemade jams (5*) and Butterfly Pea Latte (5*) . Both were refreshing and pretty! A cute boba shop run by a sweet lady and her mom! I've been wanting to try their boba for awhile because of the adorable dog on their cups. I'm a sucker for cute containers so that was already a 5/5 for me. There were so many flavors to choose from but I went with the basic Thai milk tea (not included in the pictures), blueberry milk tea, and their jasmine milk tea--all with boba of course. The Thai tea was perfect! The blueberry milk tea was surprisingly my favorite, because I was expecting them to use an artificial blueberry flavor syrup. Instead, they used real blueberries, which makes a huge difference. The jasmine milk tea was what I expected: light with a floral aroma. I also like that we can adjust the sweetness and there were a few options for toppings other than just boba itself. I really wanted to try their taro boba but they only have it on weekends. disappointing!! i used to like it a lot when the owner started this boba as gift exchange online, yet once it expanded to the legit business, everything turned out very low quality and disappointing. i used to have butterfly milk / jasmine milk tea with egg cream, but both are very very bad. boba is extremely soft and not chewy at all, although i waited a while for ice melting to firm the boba (as a boba lover, this takes away most of the points). the drink tastes not impressively by any chance but just ok, however compared to the price $7 for this drink, def not worth it!! i understand the location in bolsa is the great point of making things extra expensive, but everyone would be pleased to pay for a good quality product! why 2 stars?
