Food was very tasty and we all cleaned our plates, even my very picky elderly step father. But the highlight of the experience was our server - Bobbi V. She was AMAZING! Super attentive, so good with my elderly parents who can be tough and overall such a pleasure to spend the afternoon with! She is also one of the bartenders so be sure to stop and see her at the bar too! It was a very nice way to spend the afternoon!

Well, if it's never happened to you then you probably haven't been to Blackwater Grill and Bar. I came in looking forward to the comedy show and dinner I and 3 others came for and a guy who was a bartender/ host ( maybe?) said you can't go upstairs because we were early ( 15 minutes to showtime). He then walked away without out welcoming us or suggesting that we have a drink at the bar, he just walked away. The waiter upstairs was preygood considering how overwhelmed he was due to the rush and understaffed bought over a glasses of swamp that looked and tasted like it had sea-monkeys from the 70's. No bottled water for sale. At the end of the show, one of the comedians announced that the show had a tip bucket that you could leave 'tips for them and he stood in the exit doorway with a bucket, partially blocking the exit ( worse than outside a Walmart or WaWa ) then the bright laser bean lights came on before anyone got a check. Very negative vibe here folks.... Here's you hat what's your hurry credo.

Amazing. Spectacular. We've been talking about this place the entire weekend…read more We stumbled across Biscuit barn as hungry tourist. We were immediately greeted with a warm "hello" by a lovely waitress who put us on a 15 minute waitlist. About 10ish minutes goes by and my name was called, the place was very busy and the staff appear very attentive like they were pros at handling a little chaos. My boyfriend ordered the chicken co-op and I ordered the country eggs Benedict. These were some of the best biscuits we've ever had. This is a no frills kinda place but delicious. For 2 extremely full breakfast, a side of corn beef hash and 2 iced coffees (they even put ice on the side for us) with tip the meal was $43 and we took home half of our plates.

The grits and biscuits were delicious. The biscuits were golden brown, soft on the inside, and perfectly paired with the sausage gravy. The grits were also very well made, and perfect in the bowl! Three complaints: (1) parking was limited but definitely of size for the seats available in the restaurant; (2) the coffee was WAY too strong, bitter, and lacking normal coffee notes; and (3) they added a restaurant fee on the ticket. Still, we'd go again!

Im guessing the bar/lounge next door is where they were all at. We were handed a hand written menu, as their current offerings are limited. We asked why, and apparently there is a new owner, and they are not yet comminicating with the staff. They've left them to use what they have. That being said, I ordered the rib and pulled pork plate with coleslaw and mac salad, and garlic bread, $15. My husband got a bacon cheese burger that was super thick. $12 The food was REALLY good. Their BBQ is tasty! Their mac salad reminded me of the Mac salad from Hawaii. The burger was so thick and juicy and their hand cut fries were better than any frozen fries. We will be back to see what happens at the change over

The interior is a typical diner with tables and booths. The menu is fairly extensive and I settled on a western omelet with cheese, home fries and a biscuit. Food arrived quickly and everything was hot, which I love. The home fries were red potatoes cut in chunks and had paprika all over them. I didn't like them at all. The omelet was huge and the ingredients were all in big chunks, but it was so dry and overcooked that I only ate a bit of the center. The biscuit was great. Overall, bad choice for breakfast.

Our waitress was very attentive and made sure that we had what we needed; she even made us to-go drinks for the road! I had the taco salad which was Huge in a big taco shell - you could also have it served as a traditional salad if you prefer. I asked what the protein was and I was told ground beef, but she could see if they could make it as a chicken taco salad instead. I asked her to surprise me, and she brought out one made with chunks of seasoned chicken, lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream chopped inions and salsa which was very tasty. My friend had a tuna melt, which is her favorite meal for lunch and a side of onion rings. The sandwich came out nicely toasted with melted cheese and a thick layer of tuna salad. The onion rings were beautifully fried with real onion rings inside a crispy brown coating; she usually shares the onion rings with me but she must have been so hungry and they were so tasty, that she ate them all by herself! We then had to decide from a long list of desserts, including, pies, muffins and cakes. We split a slice of coconut meringue pie, which was quite heavenly! We come through this area quite a bit, so we will definitely return.
