The espresso hubs and I split was as good as it gets. We love our espressos and coffee bold and strong so we were happy. The staff member also gave me a teacher's discount, which I appreciate so much because therapists don't usually get discounts! The next time we visited, we ordered another espresso, as well as a cinnamon bun and an Andes cake. OMFG how orgasmic!! I love mint chocolate anything so I was sooooo excited! We saved it for later and it was just amazing! Hubs loves cinnamon buns and he approved as well. Both times we sat for a while, sipped our coffee, and talked. The selection included a mix of both sweet and savory items as wells. The sizes of the pastries were perfect, the price was a little high--but still reasonable. The service was quick, but I thought it could have been slightly more pleasant. The worker just didn't really seem too happy to be there on this particular morning and was very blunt with me. I asked her for her opinion and what items to get and she really didn't provide much help. But other than that, this was a good experience. I ended up getting three items including a Nutella danish, a cheddar-chive scone, and a piece of their pecan bread pudding. All of these items were delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed each one! The pecan bread pudding was great, it wasn't too sweet and the texture was perfect. I just wish it was warm as it was given to me cold. Next time I get this I might need to heat it up in the microwave at home. It didn't include too many pecans, but the cinnamon flavors were great, I would recommend this. The Nutella danish was more reminiscent of a croissant with Nutella on top. This was still good as the dough was quite buttery & flaky--just as it should be. I will say some pastries vary in size, making this price less justifiable. For instance, one of the other bread pudding varieties was about half the size of the one I ordered and priced the same. All the pastries I tried were delectable and I was satisfied. As I stated above, I thought the service, particularly the women ringing me up, could have been more pleasant. I would say this is a solid bakery for Gainesville, with the scones being the standout. This is certainly no French bakery, but it will definitely satisfy and sweet cravings you might have!
