Had a couple of cheese slices. Let me start by saying that our uncle owns a pizzeria in the Bronx that I have loved since before I married my husband. I compare all pizza to his. This compares! The pizza was thin/medium with the crust perfectly crunchy with soft fluffy dough in the center. Met the owner Joe and he was so hospitable and welcoming. We had a couple good laughs. It was my first time here and I had no idea how big this place is! He showed us around. I wished I lived closer because I would definitely consider this place for parties like graduation etc. my sons going to school in Utica so I'm sure he'll be back with a bunch of his friends and big appetites! My family and I arrived here after a trip on Erie Canal Cruises and at the recommendation of my sis's bf, who had heard fantastic reviews and that the majority of his co workers went to. I ordered a chicken club with bacon, my sister got her and my Dad an upside down pizza, my sis bf got chicken wings with hot sauce and we all shared from a sampler platter and garlic knots. The food was absolutely fantastic. My order was accidently given to another patron on accident and a whole new order was made. Hey, accidents happen and I purposely was calm and had no intention to adding to the service industry woes of bad customers being entitled and treating wait staff like shit during these pandemic times. The woman repeatedly apologized and my patience was rewarded as the server brought over my sandwich she said she overstuffed it, especially with bacon...so much so I only had one half of the sandwich and saved the rest for another dinner! The food was absolutely fantastic...the garlic knots, the platter and the wings got rave reviews. My Dad thought there was too much tomato sauce...can you imagine an ITALIAN saying that...my sis and her bf liked the leftover slices so to each their own In any event, the service and food were absolutely impeccable. Used to be my go to for pizza/calzones because the portions were GIGANTIC! Unfortunately, the quality of their product has diminished over the years (i.e. soggy pizza almost every time I've been here over the past 2-3 years). They are now an after thought for me for Italian food in the valley. read more

I visited my friend in Ilion and demanded chicken riggies. This was the closest place that had them on a Friday. I wouldn't bother with any other place after that. You get giant, family sized portions for individual prices. Seriously, one entree and one side will satisfy a family of three. The riggies came in a large paper bag for takeout, with a Styrofoam container filled to the brim with the riggy goodness. -1 for cheap looking and tasting cheese, but the sauce is incredible beneath the heaps of pasta and veggies. It also came with an entire loaf of garlic bread and a "salad" with a few shreds of lettuce and onion. Don't count on an actual salad, but I wasn't expecting it to begin with. I was also told to order a side of garlic balls, and those slid my review a bit lower. Are they like crack? Yes. But they could be drenched in quite literally 10% of the actual amount of butter used and they would still be like crack, in fact more so. They are hot and fluffy, covered in garlic, but if you eat more than three you'll suffer a coronary. After an hour, the butter coagulated into a deep pool of pure fat at the bottom of the container. This was not a sauce. It actually seeped out of the bread. Damn. Overall this place gets 3.5 stars. It's massive amounts of value and taste, but I can't get that butter estuary out of my head. I have always loved Lombardo's pizza. Today however, was a disaster! I ordered pizza for 4:30 delivery, ( they start at 4). I finally received it at 4:50. The only topping I ordered was sausage, and most of the slices had none. The cheese and sauce was stuck to the top of the box! One big mess. It may have just been the delivery person or maybe whoever was working today, but I was extremely disappointed!! read more

Great food and great value! Huge servings of delicious Italian dinners as well as traditional pizzeria items--subs, pizza, wings, etc... Friendly staff and consistent quality! My family orders often from Lombardo's and are never disappointed. They also offer a large dining area that can be used for showers, receptions, parties, etc... They cater weddings and graduation parties. I have been going for years, and will continue to frequent Lombardo's. It's always excellent! read more

Not sure how this place hasn't had reviews yet. By far the BEST pizza and wing joint in the valley. John and Heather offer the best tasting, great portioned, and well priced offerings around. Tired of the rudeness at Sorrento's, stop in here, its only around the corner. John will make you feel like a long time buddy while serving up some great fare. read more

Excellent pizza! We ordered the meat lovers pizza - medium size. Wow! I have never seen so much meat on a pizza! However, it was delicious! Exactly the way I like my crust, crispy on the bottom, chewy crust. The sauce was great, plenty of cheese. Next time we get this pizza, we'll definitely order a small. Way to much for just the two of us but it'll be great warmed up for lunch tomorrow! read more

Waited over an hour to get our meals and we only ordered subs! A party of six, five of us got our meals. The sixth meal came out when the rest of us were almost done. We asked for that sandwich be boxed to go as we were now there an hour and a half. Counter had 6 people waiting for their takeout orders. IDK what kind of Riggies this Steve A has eaten before but I just had some from here and the were the most horrible thing I have ever eaten in my life just a nasty over salted tomato sauce with absolutely no flavor and so much salt that is all I could taste and the garlic bread tht came with it was so soaked in butter everything g in the bag was covered in it and on top of it when I ordered it the lady tells me I'll get it to u wen I get it to u and it took almost two and a half hours really disappointed bcus normally when I go in there and the owner is there the food is great as well as the service I just don't recommend the Riggies if they wanna learn how to make real Riggies they can Contact me read more

Great food and amazing portions and the owner is great. Can get more expensive than the usually pizza joint but you get a bit more for the dollar. They do have a habit messing up orders and occasionally being unreasonably rude. For instance i ordered a cheese pizza and they gave me an a sausage and mushroom and it took some effort on my half to get my cheese. Another would be I ordered a sub and got a supreme and thwy insisted i was the one who made the mistake and i can assure you without any doubt i ordered a simple sub. Yet they wanted me to pay for the pizza. So yeah totally not perfect but my good experiences far outway the bad which is why I'll give it a 4 star review. read more
