This is the classic donut shop you've been looking for. The ambiance is old school donut shop, complete with the cool retro sign out in front. Service is super friendly and prompt. There was a line out the door when I visited (and I can see why) but things moved along quickly. I was going to order my donut go-to favorite (coffee with milk and a jelly donut) when I asked the server what her favorite donut was. "Glad you asked", she said, and recommended the cream cheese donut. Wow. Whoever dreamed this cream cheese donut up deserves a spot in the donut pantheon. Think Donut Man's Strawberry Donut but with a light, fluffy, delicious, decadent whipped cream cheese filling instead of strawberries. I was in seventh heaven. The donut itself was fresh and light, the perfect compliment to the creamy filling. And the coffee was excellent, with a wonderful array of dairy and non-dairy creamers alike. FIVE STARS. read more

Went here for the first time today! Great variety of classic donuts and breakfast croissants. My kids picked out their sprinkle donuts and loved them! My husband and I got stuffed croissants. My husband got a ham and cheese and egg croissant and he was really impressed, especially with the eggs. I got a jalapeño and ham and cheese croissant and it was delicious! I also had to try the cream cheese donut which was unreal! It was a light and fluffy donut dusted with powdered sugar and stuffed with slightly sweetened, whipped cream cheese! Came here based on Yelp reviews. Service was fine. I got two round sugar donuts and a glazed buttermilk. I love donuts. Unfortunately I am actually throwing out these donuts. Tried one of the sugar donuts. Texture and taste was off. I didn't like it at all and it left crisco texture afterwards that lingered in my mouth. So the second sugar donuts went straight in the trash. The buttermilk one was fine for texture, however, I didn't care for the taste nor the aftertaste. Walking in, I felt like a kid again in the early 80s, getting a donut before school with my dad. There is an old-school feeling to this joint-- maybe it's the faux maple-wood tables or the faux marble linoleum floors, or the trapezoid-shaped sign out front that clearly looks like it was repurposed from a Winchell's sign. But the story here is the donuts, and they do a nice job for what must be a mom n pop shop of keeping things clean, fresh, and tasty. We ducked in here early morning before heading out for a day of central coast adventure, and they had my usual faves: a chocolate old fashioned and an apple fritter. Fritters don't seem to be poured as big as they used to-- I remember mawing on apple fritters the size of a catcher's mitt as a younger man... but probably better for me in the long run to eat smaller donuts now. Nothing fancy or pretentious here... just good donuts that are plenty sweet and fresh, and no annoying saccharin from the help staff... get in, get donuts, get on with your life. I always go with my Maple bar. Always! Pretty loyal to it since I've been eating it since like....birth?...so I always try to get it when I'm in Cali. The other doughnut I got was this crumb cinnamon type of doughnut. Soooo gooood! Try it! It's actually best heated up, but even the way it is is wonderfulness! Atmosphere: this is a traditional doughnut shop. I love the wrap around window type of establishment. So much natural lighting! I was about to start talking about how much they must save on their electric bill, but this is not about real estate. Lol. Atmosphere is great If you want to sit for a bit, there is a little bit of seating on the inside. On a nice day, we just hung out near our car honestly. It's pretty peaceful outside. Never knew my friend from Long Beach had family out here in Lompoc. It was totally random. Moved here in 2017 and It's just great to see familiar faces. Great donuts. Great service. Love the variety there as well. ALSO: Another family donut shop is called "Bakery" on Ocean Street. It's across the Boost Mobile store and Tae Kwon Do class. Same family. Same great service.
