I love their green food trucks!

Poblano Pepper has become one of my favorite Mexican food carts in Portland, especially since there are multiple locations throughout the city with dependable service and reliable quality. I am always greeted with a smile, and made to feel welcomed and appreciated. I know it's been a rough time for food service workers the last few years during the pandemic, so I really respect their jovial nature and service with a smile. I always feel compelled to tip generously, especially at this Barley Pod location. Great folks, indeed! I have ordered everything from simple bean and cheese burritos to complicated orders with multiple substitutions, etc. They are always at the top of their game, and for this reason I've recommended them to a handful of friends who have also reported positive experiences. I wish the Poblano Pepper team the best of luck and continued success!

Food was good. Ordered a cheese quesadilla and two tacos. The only negative side was the tacos weren't served with lime.

Wow! If I could give 10 stars I would!! The homemade corn tortillas, the fresh made guacamole, the authentic flavors and seasoning. Absolutely amazing! This would make the best restaurant but is still incredible as a food truck too!!

I was introduced to Poblano by my son who lives nearby and all I have to say is this: great food! Homemade tortillas, vegan options and Mexican coke and Jarritos in bottles! How does it get any better than this? The first time I went to Poblano, I ordered a bean and rice burrito with pico de gallo (my standard go-to) and have continued to order this same burrito every time I go back. I think I need to get out of my rut and Poblano provides options for that, too! Fast service, tasty food, easy access - can't ask for anything more, right?

The food was decent, just not the mexican food i'm used to. (for reference i live in San Antonio, TX) I ordered a chimichanga, refied beans & rice, & a water bottle. My total came out to ~ $23 + tip. The rice was a little dry & it has chicken in it. My chimichanga had the same rice/beans in it coupled with asada & cheese. It was topped with a nice slaw. The flavors however were not blending very well for me & it was really greasy. (I'd recommend ordering the chimichanga w/o the rice). The service was okay. My buzzer went off, but when I went to the window - it was a different order. Before I was able to deduce it wasn't my order I was handed 3 plates & unfortunately dropped someone's taco plate (they did remake that order). They only give silverware/napkins per person so be advised of that. The ambience is quite nice, its a cute little food truck/brewery stop. There is shaded seating & indoor seating.

Delicious food, every time! A bit of a wait, hence the 4 stars, but the flavor makes it worth the wait!

I came after a review I read on Eater for FoPo area eats. I'm not a huge fried food fan but this place was good. I got the Steelhead trout fish and chips. Wait was ok they give you a buzzer so you can stroll around the food court. Took about 10 mins not bad. The locally sourced steelhead was a delicious surprise. Tender, juicy fish with crispy breading. Good seasoning. Fries were thicker so not as crispy but still hearty. 3 medium sized pieces of fish. They included ketchup for the fries as well as malt vinegar and tartar sauce for authentic fish dip. Wedge of lemon, too! All in a earth-friendly cardboard box. They take credit just fine. Very convenient location at Carts on Foster just down the street from where I was staying. So I walked back and enjoyed there. If you're staying you could probably cruise over to any local breweries or the bar cart for a beer to complement the fried food. Good time!!!

Teen wanted boba, and we decided to order Mediterranean from this place which also strangely sells boba. Yes, I rewarded the chore avoidance. Sue me. I worked four tens, all week my mental health clients were stressed and distressed, and I was honestly a lump. We both ordered a Moroccan stewed chicken that comes with saffron rice, salad, and three spicy sauces - one yogurt and maybe sumac? , one sriracha, and one yogurt mixed with sriracha maybe? We liked the rice, chicken, salad, and the yogurt sauce. Just ok though. Not omg good. I wish the two other sauces had been in separate containers and not on the rice. My mint and honey tea was fine. Kid's boba was not full. Not because it spilled either, because it was sealed with the boba seal lid thingy. For $6 that was disappointing. The hummus and dolmades plate came with one sad not good pita, ONE, and I think our Uber eats driver flung it out the window like kids used to deliver newspapers from their bikes because yogurt sauce was freaking everywhere. The hummus was not great. Teen ( the dolmades fan) said the grape leaves were good. Probably not a repeat in store. One and done.
