Stopped in here since it's next to the hotel. The servicing staff were extremely friendly and helpful towards my experience. But the food, ehh it wasn't the best. The portions are great size and the presentation on everything I ordered was spot on but it lacked so much flavor on each dish. The loaded tots were nothing special just a bunch of sour cream and cheese, the wings were great in size but even after getting them in my flavor of choice they still wasn't enjoyable. The wings taste as if they been frozen for a while once you take your initial bite and you get past the sauce flavor, the meat didn't taste good at all. The chicken sandwich needs more love towards the seasoning of the batter. But the happy specials seem to be the reason people attend this establishment so that's a plus. I came here for a work going away happy hour. It has a great elevated towny vibe. Casual, but still pretty nice inside. We got several plates of apps - boneless and bone-in wings, some fried cheese curds (because...MN), and some kind of cheese dip with toasted pita bread wedges. The apps all were solid, no complaints at all. The server was nice and efficient in getting waves of drinks for us - all over the map from cocktails to wines to beers. No mistakes, either. I had the steak salad. Again, a nice large portion. It had a lot of tomatoes, which I enjoyed as they were delicious and ripe, but other people might be put off by the balance. I'm always tempted to pay the extra $3 for onion rings instead of the fries, but honestly, I think their fries are better. The fries have this crispy textured coating that makes them irresistible. Walleye Sandwich (3/5): we've ordered this many times in the past, but today the size of the fish was so much smaller than previous orders, so we were disappointed. Otherwise, the fish sandwich tasted great. Lone Oak Benedict (5/5) available 11am-3pm only, but so delicious. We ordered with smoked ham and home fries. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and delicious, and the generous seasoning on the home fries was flavorful. Margherita Pizza (3/5). Haven't eaten here in several years but after a long flight home from vacation and having parked nearby in EzAir Park decided to come here for dinner. From past experiences I always enjoyed the food and variety of options. Was great to experience all of this again, nothing in regards to quality or taste has changed. For the main meal I got the Pulled Pork Shoulder who h came with Texas Toast and 2 sides (I chose): Garden Salad with dressing on side and coleslaw. Everything was phenomenal!!! The salad was quite large for a side and I appreciated the fresh cherry tomatoes on it and cucumbers, yum! I also enjoyed the coleslaw, it wasn't overly dressed with sauce and was very fresh - has a nice crunch to it so I knew it wasn't sitting for a day or two. The pork was my favorite, it was pulled nicely and placed on top of a delicious slice of Texas Toast. What I really liked was the pulled pork wasn't fatty. Sometimes you can get pulled pork and it's mainly bits of fat. Wasn't the case here and I enjoyed the delicious quality and smokiness of the meat. Even without bbq sauce the flavor was insane. I really like Lone Oak and think it's a gem in Eagan. Always have had great experiences and customer service. Will be back again soon! read more

The service on the other hand was very poor. At sat for twenty minutes before anyone showed up to take my order. Then the server got the order wrong but kitchen turned it around quickly and got me the correct meal. The server never returned so another twenty minutes after my meal I went to seek out someone to pay my bill. I spoke to the manager who was very understanding and took care of matters. So great food. There was a fly zapper right next to our table and a lot of flies circling around us while we were eating. It was difficult to hear my spouse right across from me. There were also no designations for gluten free or vegetarian/vegan options, which was frustrating because then I had to guess what was gluten free. I have visited Lone Oak Grill three times now and thought it was finally time to give it a review. The reason I have eaten at Lone Oak Grill is due to work meetings. This is an appropriate place to visit when going on a work lunch. I am always able to get a seat and service quickly and there is a large parking lot. During the warmer months this pace is really nice because they are able to open the garage doors and let fresh air into the restaurant. The reason I am giving this restaurant 3 stars is because of the food. Every time I have been to Lone Oak Grill I have ordered a different meal and every time that meal is very bland. I have ordered the chicken salad, the buffalo wrap, and the turkey burger. I think the idea behind their menu is great and everything sounds like it would taste great but I have found each meal quite bland.
