My favorite place to eat when passing through Minneapolis airport. The food is always delicious and consistent. My favorite is the Walleye sandwich, but the Juicy Lucy (cheeseburger) is a MUST. Service is solid... once you get past the "no outside food" rule Yes, even if six other people in your group are ordering. Lesson learned: airport walking pretzels are apparently contraband. Still, once that hurdle was cleared, the staff was friendly and attentive. This spot is located right in the airport, and for an airport restaurant, it's pretty well laid out. Not huge, but the long communal tables make it easy to squeeze in larger groups without playing musical chairs. Now let's talk about the real star: the biscuits and gravy. This was one heck of an airport restaurant. Best one I've ever been to, hands down. Ambiance was very cool. It was part sports bar, part brewery. The portion of it we were seated at was right by the passenger thoroughfare, so we got to people watch like nobody's business. I loved it. Service was awesome. The server seems to understand the scenario. People wanting to watch some sports while watching their flights getting further and further delayed. Thanks to Delta, I think we were there for like, four hours. Oy vey. Very nice guy. He tended to our every need and we didn't feel rushed one bit. As for the food, it really surprised me with how good it was. I had the Grilled Chicken Wings (Chipotle-lime sauce or coffee-chili dry rub and served with your choice of house ranch or blue cheese dressing). These were full wings that fried to a crispy perfection and got to retain that crispiness, because they weren't tossed in sauce afterwards, they were dry rubbed with that slightly bitter, slightly spicy, entirely interesting and delicious dry rub. Crispy, meaty, juicy. What else could you ask for? Oh, a side of that chipotle-lime sauce, because the server suggested you try it, too. Very good. I also got to try the Roasted Squash (Roasted squash stuffed with our wild rice blend, kale, parmesan, mushrooms and onions, topped with cranberries and maple pepitas. Served with a side of roasted Brussels sprouts). This was an absolute smash. The squash was roasted to a fork-tender perfection, and the sugars within were really accentuated to a nice sweetness. Pops of additional sweetness from the cranberries with the umami mushrooms and the texture of the pepitas make this one of the best vegetarian dishes I've legit ever had in my life. Couldn't find a dessert list, but it looks like I had a nice slice of cheesecake to finish things off. I remember it was delicious. A nice little sweet to get me ready for a nap on the plane. A side note, this place had one of the better drink programs I've seen in a very long time. Not only did they have completely customizable beer flights with a wide array of beer styles, not just blah IPAs, but they also had awesome NA options, including a beer that was brewed never containing alcohol in the first place, so the taste is the taste and not the product of alcohol removal. Pretty interesting. Overall, this was an excellent experience. One of the places that I wish I could award a sixth star for just how above and beyond they are. I had a long layover, and this place had the best food in the airport. Fortunately I got a seat right away. Grilled wings - coffee chili dry rub was probably the my favorite item. I have always walked past this restaurant at the MSP terminal 1 airport as I passed through security and figured the food would be so so. We had some time before our flight and our gate was close so we gave it a try! I was impressed with the number of turkey items on their menu since I don't eat pork/ beef. We gave them a try! Patty melt with turkey burger - this was really exciting. Most restaurants have started using Impossible products and I was happy to see this burger on the menu. It was hearty and almost meatloaf like. Get the fries and their ranch! My favorite type of fry. Real potatoes with skin on and clean no extra batter or coating. Amazing. Rachel sandwich - this one needed some more turkey added as it was a little thin for a Rachel/ (Reuben type sandwich with turkey). It was tasty and pretty saucy. Once again... those fries! Craveworthy! Both of these had a cranberry component and it wasn't super noticeable in either. Which was a good thing for my other half as he doesn't like sweet and savory. I stopped here purely for drinks before my flight. For my first order, I asked for a double gin and club soda. After my first sip, I immediately recognize that the gin was mixed with tonic. Minneapolis airport has many restaurants above my minimum 3.5 star requirement so it was very hard to choose. I saw this place had a walleye sandwich so I picked here for a lighter lunch. The place was not overly crowded and I suspect because there are so many choices in the airport. It was also a weird time inbetween breakfast and lunch time. I had skipped breakfast and was hungry and ready for lunch. I ordered the walleye sandwich and a side Caesar salad. The Savingnon blanc was a good pour. Anna was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The sandwich was a little spicy for me and I was disappointed that I missed the obvious Old Bay seasoning so clearly marked on the menu. This is BY FAR the best airport restaurant I've ever eaten at. All food is made from scratch so it's very easy to modify dishes. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about what items contained gluten (the sauce on the mushroom chicken dish) and was able to suggest a fabulous alternative of getting the same dish but with a different sauce on the side. Service was quick. I had 30 minutes to burn between planes and made it with a few minutes to spare. Sat at the counter. It was clean and had space. Then the waiter came over asked what we wanted - kind of robotic and brought our iced tea and water. He started to walk away and I asked for straws - he basically threw one on the table and just walked away. There were two of us. I went out and grabbed the name as I was thinking "how rude and I want to yelp it" The food was brought out by someone else - one was an egg white sandwich and the other a spam sandwich so I joked and said guess who gets what - he made an annoyed face and put the food down and said "I don't know who eats what" and walked away My husband who never talks negatively about people at restaurants said "everyone has such a bad attitude here" Below is last years review that never published .. Worst service ever! Waited a bit to be acknowledged, she then took our drink order and came back empty handed after a bit and then repeated the wrong drink order to us Then came with the drinks and gave us each others drinks ... we had water and an iced tea not that difficult. I'm usually not pleased when my flight is delayed, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise for me today. As a result of a 1 hour and 40 minute delay I was able to stop at Stone Arch, initially just for some beer. However after speaking with Matt at the bar and getting his guidance and assistance with my initial beverage quest I ended up also having dinner there as well. Stone Arch is located just outside the F section of the airport port and if you have time it's well worth a visit even if your flight leaves from a different section of the airport. This was my first time visiting Stone Arch and I was impressed with their focus on local and regional beer producers. Matt at the bar said they hope to open in other airport locations and I hope they are successful. Being able to visit a bar and restaurant with so many local offerings was amazing. Matt at the bar was a fantastic representative of the business and a great resource for finding beers that appealed to me. I was able to try a beer before choosing my first beverage and then gave me a couple of tastes before choosing my next ones. I ended up getting a flight of 4 different beers and was very pleased with the results. I was so impressed that I ended up having dinner there as well. My server was just okay, she asked if I wanted a drink I asked for coffee and a water. She said I had to wait to order water with food later, I thought that was weird. She left me to look at the menu for about 15 minutes, this is a small menu. She got the order right and did give refills it just felt like I was a burden. If you come for breakfast I don't recommend sitting at the round bar. I have had great service here before and there was plenty of staff to handle the customers everytime. A friend of mine recommended Stone Arch restaurant in the Minneapolis-St Paul international airport. I had time to kill and sure, have a 2nd breakfast before boarding the aircraft. Stone Arch restaurant is right after you pass thru the TSA security checkpoint, not sure which one but I found it. It was a Sunday morning around 9:30am and figure, why not. They also have a pretty good spread of beers on tap, so I decided to mix beer and breakfast to make things a bit more interesting for the flight home. The restaurant itself was packed but found myself sitting at the counter. The experience in total was about 45 minutes. The airport vibe was just right and felt blessed to be Traveling. It felt like a restaurant / cafe in a sense but it's the airport and people are just coming and going non stop anyway. I think I ordered their standard breakfast, which came out to be around $13 ish, which is pretty standard for airport restaurant pricing. Everything is inflated nowadays. The service could have been better, but thankfully it was a quick eat, pay, and fly kind of thing. They do have an online payment system, which I tried that. Managed to pay twice but the server said the first time went through, so I was good. For the most part, though, it was decent and very good to have a beer with breakfast. It was cool to have beer with breakfast. The restaurant was busy and quite small. I imagine it had about maybe 50 people at one time it can seat to capacity. The service was decent enough, but I feel like the server that took my order really didn't not want to be there but it was OK. Oh, can't complain too much. It is what it is. As far as getting here, you should be either apart of the traveling public, work at the airport thru the various merchants, with the airlines, or other various entities. All others are generally not allowed. There is parking garages around the MSP airport, so you can use those to get here. There is also Uber and Lyft to use as well. And so, it's not the best that the Minneapolis international airport has to offer but they do have beer. Lots of beer. Can't be too shabby when you are waiting for your flight or just arriving at Minneapolis St. Paul. It'll do you good to stop here for a drink or two just to take edge off of traveling. After a ridiculous two hours of walking through the airport to switch terminals and check in with our new carrier, my recent surgery ankle was done for.
