Brought my fifth wheel to lonestar for warranty work when a slide kept catching and wouldn't close. I was told they couldn't replicate the problem so we left for our summer trip. The slide continued to catch and eventually broke the motor. Lonestar would not honor their warranty work and are going to charge to repair the slide after the warranty expired. Definitelt the most dishonest dealer I've ever been to in my forty years of owning RVs. read more

Do not use them, my husband and I bought a rv from them, it was difficult to find a time to pick it up between 10-2 Monday thru Friday only. Bob said his numbers area always right, well he quoted us 5k in interest and threw in there when we were signing we must make 6 payments so he gets his $300. Well he was wrong it was $7,300 in interest so we paid it off before the 6 payments. He then called my husband and only asked if we paid it off because now he doesn't get his $300, not worried about the 7k in interest we would pay, that's not a way to do business. He also told my husband the wrong ball size for the trailer and so my husband had to buy one there, also had an issue with the way the wires were and they shrugged it off. read more

This review is for Janet Kleerekoper, the new Service Advisor South Lot at Lone Star RV on Gulf Frwy. In May of this year, we purchased our second Jayco. Our previous Jayco pull behind was sold to our friends. Right before the transition from us to them, I accidentally closed the slide while leaving a small door beneath the entertainment center open. To my dismay, the slide broke the door off! I immediately called and emailed the person previously in Janet's position (who I will only name by her initials of EM) and asked her to order a new door. Each week or two, I would follow up with EM by email and/or phone for an update on the part. EM was never great on responding or on follow up. My frustration with EM was at an all time high when I emailed her again on November 8th...six months later! This is where Janet steps in and saves the day. One hour after my November 8th email to EM, Janet responded. She explained she was now the new Service Advisor and would I kindly give her more details about the part. Janet was most interested in getting done what we needed at that time. It took a couple of weeks to get all of the details to Janet and two weeks after that, she had our door! It turns out it had never been ordered in the first place by EM! Janet deserves BIG KUDOS for stepping in to clean up the mess left behind by EM. We now feel much more comfortable working with Janet for all of our service needs. Her follow up and attention to detail is amazing. Janet is an asset to Lone Star RV. Thanks again, Janet. read more

First I want to say that I would not buy another travel trailer here or recommend this place. I bought a new travel trailer and three weeks later found out there was a leak on my kitchen island sink with mold in the wood. Serviced never returns the calls or follows up with customers. There was also other issues with the trailer, it was there for a month and never got it fixed. I had to pick up my trailer due that they order the parts Two months later still haven't had a call from them that my parts are ready so they can fix my trailer. Not happy at all... read more

People are nice enough, BUT they sold me a rusted out trailer. I bought it about 7 months ago. I noticed there was lots of rust on it. They said they would take care of it. I found out later "take care of it" means spray paint the rust with black spray paint. So I'm taking it out for the 4th time and the nuts and bolts are falling off. This trailer was beat to hell, but they made cheap repairs with a marker/sharpie. Other stuff in trailer was just broken. Items in their store are so old, adhesives don't stick, etc. I wouldn't by from them again. They knew they were selling me crap. Also, even though they were almost an hour from my house, and I paid their asking price, the refused to mail my license plate when it came in. I live in katy, I should have bought local. purchased a 2021 jayco from ther south store . bob was my salesman,he made it very easy getting my trailer. after a few times out i had a few problems with it and i was very upset . but scott who is the owner took great care of it . i felt bad for getting upset. but it was not their fault ,like any new vehicle there may be some problems with it but rest assured it will be handled . i highly recommend lonestar rv . henry read more

BUYER BEWARE!! If I could give a half a star, I would. Service BEFORE the sale is great (Jan was awesome!). Service after the sale is HORRIBLE! It'll be 2 years in May '21 that we've owned our Jayco Eagle (Junko). We've been waiting ALL THAT TIME for a trim piece to come in that was broken when we bought the RV. We have a LONG (kitchen sink leaks, outlets that don't work, broken blinds, outdoor kitchen fridge doesn't work, etc.) list of warranty work that needs to be done and NO ONE CALLS BACK or emails TO SCHEDULE WARRANTY WORK! I would say that I'm glad I bought an extended warranty, but I'm afraid that was a HUGE waste of money. I cannot tell you enough to stay away from this place!! You'll be sorry! Really wish I would have read some of the reviews before buying at Lone Star RV last summer. We had a pleasant experience with our sales person Bob and were assured that our new travel trailer would be ready for pick up the following week. Fast forward after a couple of weeks to still no trailer and when we finally got it ( after a month) we took it on it's first long trip. We had leaks in the bathroom shower, toilet, kitchen island, and outside drain hose. Our keys to all of the outside compartments didn't work and on our second day of traveling, we had a blowout that destroyed 2 tires. Thank goodness for AAA. During that time, the living room blinds fell off, refrigerator door panel fell off, our carpet got soaked from where the blowout tore up underneath the trailer and water was coming in from the rain on the ground. These were new tires that supposedly had a warranty. We were told to take it to the Greenspoint location to get it all fixed and on the way there we had ANOTHER blowout on the other side! No help from ANY of the emergency numbers they provided and no calls back as we were stranded on hwy 45 in 3:00 traffic. The next day we made it to Greenspoint after buying another tire and Neil was very helpful and the first person to really actually help us. They kept it for a few months and when we got it back in January, they said we just needed a couple of panels that were due in any day and we've yet to get a call. Also, lonestarlaura.com is a joke. She ( Amy) was supposed to get back with us in the fall to let us know about the reimbursement for the 3 tires we bought and I've called and emailed her with of course....no response! This is absolutely the worst customer experience we have EVER had, especially after dropping a huge amount of money with them. After you sign the papers, they could care less about you. I would not buy from them ever again and caution anyone that does to be extremely wary of anything they tell you. read more

So we bought a brand new RV about 4 months ago. Sales was great, they said everything they needed to say to rope us in. We didn't even fight the price due to COVID and the lack of units. We did the walk through inspection and saw many concerns. Pantry door ripped off its hinges, lights not working, awning lights not turning on, glue caked on the pullout couch. And listed our concerns, we picked the unit up about three weeks later to find out unit not even touched. Parts weren't ordered, stuff wasn't cleaned. They didn't even remember who we were. So I spoke to Erica, the service manager, who again said all the right things. We had already taken the unit so she said she would send someone out to fix everything. That was over 3 months ago. I have been patient and kind. I worked in PowerSports sales so have been understanding of everything that I needed to be. Now I'm pissed. I've had 3 separate conversations with Erica about getting information, everything she has said she would cal me back with an update and never does, doesn't even remember what customer I am. I spend over 40k with them and I was just a number. Just a check on their sales board. It's pathetic, so this is my last resort. read more
