Went here for dinner last night. We sat in the bar are because it's best to make reservations if you go. Ordered a couple of drinks and food. We had the burger, bacon wrap shrimp and French onion soup. French onion soup was my favorite with lots of yummy cheese and great flavor. The bacon wrap shrimp was delicious too. I wasn't able to try the burger because I was full from eating everything else. But I did hear the burger was just as good it came with fries too. This is a very nice restaurant if you are looking for a steak house. The bar is pretty small but they do have TV's if you want to catch a sports game. If you are I. The area go check this place out the food was very tasty. Service was good too.

First off the service from the front desk until the end of the meal is above and beyond . Jennifer was pleasant and made us smile each time she arrived at our table to serve our food , drinks or just check all is ok. The place is great for families and couples as well , calm music playing and quiet atmosphere makes dinner so enjoyable. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp to start followed by chicken Marsala for main course with a couple luxury margaritas. I w been here a number of times and I've had the same thing each time but did try others meals that joined me for dinner. Again Jennifer made sure the steak had plenty of ibearnaise sauce as we preferred plenty and didn't have to ask for more it just showed up lol. If in the area and want a beautiful dinner this is always a good option as I've been living nearby for over 4 years and will definitely be back again and again.

came to have a great time at the casino and realized needed some food. And what a surprise. This place was some amazing food. A beautiful second floor restaurant to enjoy a gourmet dinner. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They have evening specials that they share when first arriving at the table. A great selection of wines. Large servings so come hungry. Enjoyed the bacon wrapped meatloaf dinner. Wow. The flavors just pop. Delicious. Also the pistachio crusted salmon on top of a vegetable risotto. Recommend this highly. We also enjoyed as an appetizer bacon wrapped shrimp. A great meal. Cozy setting. Nice and quiet. An enjoyable time.

I'll say it again, this food at the Lone Wolf is phenomenal. I do not understand the negative reviews. Our server, Kyleigh, was attentive and nice. Guy at the front desk greeted us and let us sit where we wanted. Comfortable booth. Six of our friends had a table. We were all staying at the RV Park. I had the rack of lamb which was cooked perfectly. The English pea lemon risotto was absolutely fantastic. Carrots cooked well. I REALLY enjoyed it. My wife had the 12oz prime rib which was melt in your mouth delicious. We both thought that they had made a mistake and gave her the 18 oz instead. One friend had the bacon wrapped meatloaf with gravy. He loved it. Said that the gravy was spot on. Another friend had the filet mignon and said that it was cooked perfectly. Her husband had the New York steak and loved it. I can't wait to go back. It's way worth it.

My first time here and I was pleasantly surprised! Nice restaurant with comfy seating. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we were seated immediately. We arrived at opening so I'm guessing that is why the appetizer took so long and our food came directly after the appetizer. Other than that, the service went well. The Bacon wrapped shrimp was delicious! The Bacon&Artichoke Chicken was different. The deep-fried outer portion was overcooked, however the inside (artichoke&chicken) was decent. I typically don't do cooked carrots, however the carrots were seasoned to perfection with a sweet glaze on them and the risotto was perfect! On to the Tri-Tip meal: The Tri Tip was a bit overcooked as well and was very chewy, but the rest of the dish was tasty. The Raspberry Lemon Drop was very good.

Best food in Amador County. From the blood orange cosmopolitan to start, the calamari appetizer to the rare perfectly prepared ribeye - everything was amazing! Can't wait to try the Sea Bass.

Great restaurant and service the food was wonderful. Ambience wonderful it was our anniversary-35 yrs and my husband has a garlic allergy and they made his food special for him. However I feel ( no proof) but I think they added the garlic butter on his steak and the cooked it a little more too get the favor off it. He was sick that night. But we did our dinner wanted it again Monday but they were closed.

This restaurant is located in the back of the casino: walk through the casino then head to the right and there will be elevators in the back right - take the elevator up to the 2nd floor and the restaurant is that entire area when the elevator doors open! We make a reservation on Open Table in advance and got seated right away. They are only open for dinner. The menu is varied and plentiful! The favorite things we ordered were: - 10/10 Fresh Hearth Baked Bread with whipped sea salt butter & garlic herb dip = a bummer the bread ins't complementary ($7) but the taste was 10/10 - 10/10 Prime Rib = delicious and perfectly cooked with a side of baked potato and veggies - 10/10 Prawn Scampi Fettuccine: lemon wine pan sauce with house made lemon pepper pasta and spinach = delicious and very flavorful - 1/10 House Made Potato Gnocchi = my Dad is Italian and was very disappointed that this gnocchi was fried and served dry like a tater tot with zero sauce which was quite unlike the gnocchi he is used to - this was more tater tot than pasta but our wonderful waitress was nice and brought us sauce (that still didn't make it taste better) and finally just took it off our bill so we didn't have to pay for it That brings me to service: The service is outstanding! We had Jennifer C as our server and she was very attentive, friendly and really made us feel valued as customers. The ambiance was nice and they have both tables and big booths. Overall it was a delicious meal and this is the nicest restaurant in the area in our opinion.

This is a wonderful restaurant located in the hill country. The food is #1. Fabulous apps, oysters on the half shell with 3 different sauces and calamari the best I have ever eaten. Then the steaks were delicious. The loaded baked potatoes were perfect. AND house made bread yum. Now have mention our server James. The best here in the west. Attention to detail perfect. B

although you'll need a reservation to dine in, this spot is actually quite nice. our server Kaleigh was awesome, she made sure we were comfortable & we were well taken care of. start off, we had half raw oysters - loved the vinegar sauces. 8/10 i had the raspberry lemon drop - not to my liking, but i ordered another regular lemon drop & it was fantastic! the bartender wasn't greedy with alcohol, it was so good!! drinks 10/10 food, we ordered the salmon & chicken marsala. very delicious! 10/10. we will definitely be back.

Is the patio dining pet friendly?

Hi Shari, thank you for contacting Lone Wolf Restaurant & Lounge at Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort. The casino and restaurants do not allow pets with the exception of service animals.

    What's the dress code?

LOL - absolutely none. People are extremely casual if not a little rough looking. We looked nice but not dressy and felt a little overdressed!

Of course the first slot machine we went to hit and we started up $300, which we essentially gave back as we were chasing the big win. A guy next us said 'It only takes one spin to win' and we took that a little too literally lol. We played a variety of the machines, but the most luck we had was with the Top Dollar Machines, the others weren't lucky this time around. While we only left up $30, we spent 3 hours of fun just playing away. Something I haven't seen at any other casino was a free soda and non-alcoholic drink areas! It's Pepsi products though, so not the best, but at least it's free. I saw people ordering smoothies, which looked really good but we never stayed at a slot machine long enough to get one. We came on a Thursday, and it was bummer that there was only (1) blackjack table going with a $5 minimum. I walked by multiple times and there was never an open seat. Plenty of seats of pai gow or poker though. Maybe it was just the time of day, but definitely would love to try my hand at blackjack next time around.

The reviews made it a quick decision to head over to Teresa's Place! As soon as we entered, the staff placed us in a quiet area that made me feel "at home". Servers explained the menu and specials promptly. Warm fresh bread was a perfect starter since we had just enjoyed wine tasting. We ordered the lasagna and chicken D'Aglio. I chose a pesto sauce for my pasta. Their entrees as filling, as these come with minestrone soup, bread, and salad. I couldn't get enough of the croutons, dressing, and garbanzo beans with the fresh, crisp salad! When you're here, make sure to walk around inside to admire the decor and read their family's rich history, including photos with the Pope St. John Paul II. I enjoyed reading a bit of Italy geography and history on the dining table place mat too! This is a big restaurant with plenty of tables, especially ideal for bigger parties like family gatherings. There's so much to see and enjoy while you wait for your food! When I boxed up my leftovers, one of the staff came to me and helped me scrape the creamy, garlic and olive oil sauce from the chicken dish and scrape the pesto from the bottom of the pasta dish into my to-go box. This is the type of personal service I love and appreciate from family-owned restaurants! I'm glad we came across this lovely restaurant with wonderful staff and authentic, delicious Italian food!

I was stranded, hungry, gut gnawing itself in some Dantean ring of small-town purgatory, when out of the fluorescent chaos of a Raley's supermarket, a Gen Z angel with Wi-Fi wings took pity on me. Her phone pulsed like the North Star and she pointed me down to salvation: Teresa's Place. By God, I arrived. The sun was bleeding out across the horizon, Main Street slipping into shadow, and there it was: a glowing sign like a neon Eucharist. Parking lot across the street. The doorway pulled me in like a vacuum cleaner from 1952. Inside: dim red tones, white lights surgical and holy, Brooklyn noir under an Amador County sky. Louie's Restaurant vibes--but Sollozzo ain't getting shot here, sweetheart. No: this is Jackson. This is love. The service? Think grandma with a cigarette in one hand and a stopwatch in the other--warm but brisk, like they've been running this joint since Prohibition and ain't about to let you slow them down. The Chianti comes in buckets. Jaegermeister on the dessert menu--yes, they're serious, yes, you're taking the shot, yes, Jesus himself approves. Now, the food. THE FOOD. It comes in cathedral portions, a medieval banquet dropped in your lap. My chicken parm? Christ Almighty, it was Everest under a landslide of marinara, parsley fresh as a spring fling, pasta al dente enough to play a banjo tune. Before that came minestrone, a salad with Thousand Island like some glorious church picnic of yesteryear, croutons snapping like gunfire. Bread and butter so fresh you want to slap someone. Then dessert: WALNUT PIE. Who makes walnut pie? Teresa's does. Whipped cream piled like the Alps. I licked the plate like a lunatic. Let's be clear: this is no bland Chili's with soul vacuum décor. This is a time machine, a love letter, a belly hug from the Old Country. Cozy, romantic, small-town crickets outside and Sinatra crooning in your bloodstream. And the kicker? The wall of dollars. A shrine of American greenbacks pinned with a tiny Italian flag, Grandma Teresa watching from the photo frame like a saint with marinara rosary beads. Each bill matched, money funneled to five local charities. You eat, you drink, you laugh, you sin, and you walk away knowing your gluttony just saved the world--or at least a piece of Amador County. Five out of five, no hesitation, no irony. Teresa's Place is the real deal, a mad holy Italian fever dream in a town you didn't even know existed. If North Beach has the flash, Jackson has the soul.

The chicken items I got come vacuum sealed, which is perfect when I plan to sous vide them. The things I wish I got more of was their honey pepper beef sticks and hot teriyaki beef jerky. It's very affordable and perfect for snacks. Another low key thing that we like are their frozen chicken wellingtons. super easy to bake at home and it's a tasty meal. I arrived in the morning and luckily it wasn't super busy. Grabbed a basket and before I knew it I had enough meats and snacks to feed a large family when in reality, it's just for a couple of us. $153 well spent and meals for days. The prices for the tri-tips have more than doubled since 2020, but honestly, still a great deal considering the size. $35-40 for a good sized marinated tri-tip is still a steal of a price. The mother lode tri tip is a can't miss and a fan favorite at any of our family bbqs. Definitely plan to bring a cooler and some ice packs so you can keep your meats stored properly in route to back home.

We pulled up Yelp to find a good lunch spot, saw the solid reviews, and decided to give it a try. When we walked in, the atmosphere had that small-town vibe--simple, welcoming, and comfortable. The food was very good. The service wasn't polished like a Michelin star restaurant, but it didn't need to be. It was authentic and heartfelt, and sometimes that matters more. You could tell the staff cared about what they were doing. The place was busy, especially for the time of day we went, which tells you something. People come here on purpose. That says a lot. We were seated quickly, our order was taken without any issues, and the food came out in a reasonable time. When it hit the table, the portions were generous and satisfying. I wish I had taken pictures, but I was too busy enjoying the moment. If you go, post your photos--I'm sure the business would appreciate it. If you've followed my reviews, you know I don't give out 4 stars often, and 5 stars are rare. This place earned that extra star because of how it made me feel--between the food, the atmosphere, and the service, it just worked. They kept them coming once we asked, and they were delicious every time. But we had to keep asking, and at one point, we almost gave up. That said, the service was pretty underwhelming, especially since the restaurant wasn't busy. We waited close to 20 minutes before getting our first drinks, even water. We had noted a special occasion on our reservation, but there wasn't really anything that made it feel acknowledged or special. We shared the skillet, and unfortunately it was extremely soggy. We literally poured liquid out of it multiple times. On the flip side, the lemon poppyseed waffle was a solid 10/10 and definitely the standout food item for us. I'm giving 3 stars because there's clearly potential here. The drinks were great, the waffle was amazing, and I do think this place could easily be a 5-star experience with more attentive service and a little more consistency in the kitchen. I was excited to try this place as I was in town for a wedding and it had good reviews. It has potential but unfortunately today was a let down. My vegan friend had gone the night before and enjoyed her peanut noodle bowl with tofu! So that's good apparently) So we had high hopes but when we went today before 10am they were out of black beans for the one vegan option for my friend and didn't offer to make it without or anything it was painful to watch and to eat in front of her. Lattes looked good. My boyfriend is not picky but said the house coffee was average and got the All Sutter Creek- bacon eggs and toast and it just looked sad. Bacon was burnt, wheat toast was small and looked like cheap wonderbread. Eggs were fine but nothing better then we have at home he said. I got the Handford Benedict and it looked good but tasted strange. I didn't like the hollandaise sauce, it was tangy. Eggs were cooked well and potatoes were good, but overall with prosciutt ( meh), steamed unseasoned spinach and goat cheese made it too tangy. Hot sauce made it edible. French toast looked yummy with a nice amount of fruit on top and my friend seemed to enjoy it. I don't think I'd come back since the food is so unpredictable. A few things to fix - the bench seat wobbled whenever anyone moved at the other end, and the hot sauce wooden cap needs to be glued on! - it keep turning and comes off and gets glue in peoples food and looks gross underneath. I hope this helps you guys improve.

We moved out of state, and we still haven't found...and probably never will find...another place quite like Mel & Faye's. It's the food, the drinks, the service, but more than anything, it's the people. My go-to is the cranberry walnut salad with chicken (so good!), and Sean loves the sourdough burger. The food is always great, but honestly, we come back for the atmosphere and the people who make this place feel like family. Mary is always a hoot as our server, and we absolutely love the entire staff. Bart and Maura have created something really special here, and we appreciate them more than they know. Every time we come back to town, one of the things we look forward to most is walking through those doors, seeing familiar faces, catching up, and feeling right at home again. We miss everyone when we're away, but it makes our visits that much more special. Mel & Faye's will always be our home away from home.

We were promptly seated and within 2 minutes we had two hot cups of coffee. We then ordered the country breakfast which was surprising cheap and very delicious! Great server. In and out in 40 minutes on a Sunday morning!
