My kids and I stayed at their hotel for the weekend. The check in and out was smooth and simple. Every front desk personnel was personable and pleasant. The room itself was clean and nice. Very spacious. So is the balcony. The hospitality team were efficient and just as friendly the front desk. I was hoping my kids could experience the rancheria buffet. Being it be their first time to this casino. I was hoping they'd bring it back post Covid. It was literally the best dining establishment here. And I've been to this casino when it was just some tables and slot machines. Bout 30 years. Wishful thinking the rancheria buffet returns. Other than that, the parking lot in front of the hotel is usually filled. But there's plenty of spots in the garage. It's a nice stay amongst other places in the area.

First, let me say up front that we go to Jackson Rancheria for my wife to do a little gaming when we are in the area. Occasionally we add a nice dinner at the Wolf Restaurant into the bargain, but as a rule, it is only she who does the gaming while I get my steps in walking the grounds (always a pleasant experience. . Our experience has been good each time, and I can't recall my wife being hesitate to return, or being unhappy with anything about the place. Most recently we stopped by and I was expecting to sit and have a cocktail, but came on a day when they weren't available. A kindly security person directed me to an area with a soda fountain (gratis) and three TVs with a golf game playing. So I can add my vote that all interactions have been positive.

Came here for some BINGO. Place was nice. We were in a big room with a Complimentary drink bar with soda, coffee, and tea. Plenty of tables. The staff was friendly and helpful. This was our first time playing Bingo here. Our experience was good. I would come again, but it's too long of a drive.

    Is there alcohol?

They do not Serve alcohol at this casino. Now they do at all the rest of them.

Are the poker rooms allowed to 18-20 year olds? Or 21+ only?

    18 and up..

    Is the buffet closed permanently?

Looks like it. There is a wall where the buffet entrance was. That area now has slot machines.

Is the buffet open now, 7/27?

No buffet. That area is now a bingo hall.

Any update on the buffet , I've noticed some places that have buffets are opening and wondering if rancheria will be next?

I was at Jackson Rancheria recently and the buffet area is now walled off. It doesn't look like they will be reopening.

    Is the buffet open yet?

    Nope, it's closed

Are there chargers for electric vehicles?

Yes the second level has designated spaces for electric vehicles

    Lobster buffet how much?

Jeff N. has posted the current & correct prices. Agreed, that's a bit steep. Hearing several patrons of this and other famous lobster buffets (Boomtown Reno also comes to mind) that the lobsters used are of lower quality & overcooked (tough to…

Is this a non Smoking casino?

People can smoke in the Casino, but there is a non-smoker section.

Can the kids use the pool if we don't stay over night at the hotel?

Pool is for hotel guest only and require a hotel room key to access , however you could try tipping the hotel concierge a 50 spot to get them in but an adult would need to be present to watch them

No, we currently do not have Bingo.

If the Buffett opens at noon on Friday's is it easy to get in at that time?

on friday from noon to 10PM its Fishermans Wharf and getting in is Hit and Miss, sometimes no lines other times, people will be waiting in line starting at 11:30 , if it is a non holiday weekend you might have a great chance at getting in quickly.

Anyone know what is the menu for weekday lunch and dinner in Fisherman's Wharf Buffet? Or where can I found it? Just want to try out their weekday lunch/dinner.

Don't waste your time. The food is terrible. The slot machines paybacks are even worse. Can't wait for new casino. Bye, Bye, Jackson.

Seafood buffet on Sunday Feb 17, day before holiday. What time does it open and what time is suggested to be there for no or short wait time? I'm trying to plan my driving time. Thanks for your help.

What is the wait time on Friday for the seafood buffet?

I've been there several times,it really depends on what time you are planning to go.when you're early then there's no wait time, usually on peak hours 20-30 min. If they are really busy, then you will be provided with a wait ticket.

Yes, we brought our three kids, including our 1 year old. They have high chairs.

National Hotel Jackson by Hilton, Jackson, CA…read more I'm staying here tonight in Jackson, California, at the National Hotel. It's an older motel-style property with a lot of history, and it shows in a charming, mixed-modern way. Historic charm + updated touches:** The hotel has kept its vintage character while updating as much as possible. You can really feel the history in the design, artifacts, and mirrored features spread throughout the building. The carpets are clean, I've walked on them with white socks and nothing is coming up or looking worn. Just one small smudge spotted, which isn't a big deal for me. Wi-Fi is Fast and reliable, which is great for staying connected for work. The front desk staff is amazing. Tamara, in particular, was kind, patient, and helped me check in my room smoothly. It's all-around excellent service. There are interesting artifacts and standout mirror features that add to the character of the place. Parking is across the street and you have to cross a small bridge. The parking is covered, which is nice, but the walk with luggage can be a pain for a solo traveler. I hoped for a larger bath to soak in, but the tub was quite small--barely fit. If soaking is important to you, this might be a disappointment. Some of the drawers are a bit beat up and hard to operate; they don't always slide smoothly back into place. Breakfast starts at 6:00 AM, which is rough if you need to be at work early (like me at 5 AM). A later start or grab-and-go option would be nicer for early-risers. Overall, I'd rate this place a solid 4 stars for the staff and the overall feel. It's a thoughtfully kept historic hotel that leans into its roots while still offering practical amenities like fast Wi‑Fi and clean rooms. If you're in Jackson for business or a short stay and can roll with the older-motel layout, you'll likely enjoy it. Tips for future guests It's old and creaky - light sleepers forget it. If you're solo and luggage-heavy, check in first and then grab a trolley. If soaking is important, you might want to set expectations for a standard tub rather than a soaking tub. If breakfast timing is critical for you, arrange a backup plan. Would I stay here again? Yes, for the staff, charm, and value. If you're drawn to historic hotels with character and solid service, this is a good pick in Jackson.

No offer to look for a downstairs room, just, that was it. Fortunately my mobility issues are not critical (yet), but my impression of this place, where I had stayed twice before, became more so. The place was reasonably quiet, and if you set aside the fact that all upstairs and downstairs doors to the halls were apparently open all the time (no security locking) and the guy blowing copious amounts of dope, which wafted down the halls from the staircase landing, everything was just peachy. The room was clean and well appointed though. The Denny's next door had gone out of business.

Showers provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion, awesome! Breakfast was good and had lots of choices. Now the not so good; Half of the parking lot lights are out at night, its dark and doesn't feel safe at all. The pool was what I was mainly looking forward to, it doesn't look like the photos, its across the parking lot from the hotel rooms, and had almost no sun, its weird sitting out by a pool with cars driving by the whole time, but the worst part was that the pool itself is absolutely full of bugs, worse than the bugs, were the ticks! There were A ton of them! So the pool was a no go for us! Now as far as our room, we booked a single bed room, and got a double bed one, not the end of the world, but neither one of the beds were slept in, because they were not clean under the blankets, at all! Which seemed to be the theme throughout the entire room, the floors were filthy, with bugs crawling around on them also! The shower curtain was stained and had hair stuck to it, the sink also had hair stuck to it, the light bulb in the bathroom where the mirror is was out, the fan in the bathroom didnt work, and the shower didnt even get hot. If there had been another place in town with a room, we would have left almost immediately after arriving. Very disappointed especially for the outrageous price of almost $200 for one week night!

All I knew is they were pet-friendly, affordable and in a convenient location. When we arrived, it was better than I had expected. The grounds are beautifully maintained. There are several outside spaces to relax or have a bite with your group, and each room comes with its own front patio area with a private bench. There is also a volleyball net, horseshoe pit, grill, spit and plenty of lawn to enjoy other activities. There is also a creek at the back of the complex, which unfortunately dries up this time of year but I can imagine is very relaxing when flowing. Our room came with a queen bed, table and 2 chairs, refrigerator, air conditioning, cable tv, private shower and bathroom, pantry, and plenty of drawers and shelves. The motel is clearly on the older side and has plenty of character and charm, but it also is a bit worn. As it was very clean, I wasn't bothered by the "antique" look. There was one small issue. Bugs. As it was about 100 degrees outside, there were several small bugs sneaking in the air conditioner. Again, we weren't really bothered by this as the bugs didn't bother us and we woke up the next day bite free. It must be noted that the owners of the Motel (which should change the sign on the side of the road to "Inn") were incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had a small issue with our dog and the curtains, and they were more than understanding and appreciated the fact we alerted them and offered to pay for the damage. I would stay at this location again in a heartbeat. It was a wonderful experience. 4.5/5

I will say that I was very disappointed in this place from start to finish beginning with the check-in of my friend. We traveled into town for a special occasion and he happened to be checking in a day before me. I went with him so I could scope out the area and get familiar before I check in the following day, and I was honestly so disappointed. I made a comment to the front desk that I would be checking in the following day later in the night and asked if I could have a room that's relatively close to his for safety reasons, but the person checking him in said that all rooms were near each other since there's only 2 floors... For a place that has a sign that says if we need anything to feel more comfortable to let the front desk know the attitude and response of the front desk really threw me off. The room he was given was located on the first floor; once you opened the door the entire room smelled like mildew and cigarette smoke. We literally had to open the windows both in the room, and the bathroom, along with the front door and blasted the AC on to get some of the smell out. Well, this place does provide shampoo, conditioner, lotion, a bar of soap, and a toothbrush, please note that they do not provide body wash. The room does come with a mini fridge, but please be aware that if you sit at the little office desk that they have in the room, it might go down. I sat on it and was waiting for him and then it abruptly drop me down multiple times. I didn't get hurt, but I just think it's something people should be aware of just in case. There was some staining on the singular chair that was in the room, along with the bedsheets. The room I was given was on the second floor, which was a little bit better in terms of scent, but not much better as a whole. Keep in mind that there's no elevator here, but there is a staircase so if you have heavy luggage, plan accordingly. There was some staining on the wall, a black mark on the shower curtain, the bathtub was dirty, and the sink made weird noises when I was running the water to brush my teeth. I should also note that two of the towels that were in my room ready for use had small stains on them. There is a chair outside of each room on the first floor and every single door on first and second floor has an ashtray outside so just be aware that this place heavily smells like cigarette smoke. If you just need a place to get in and out this place will get it done for you... But if you're used to and prefer a little bit more comfort, try somewhere else. Breakfast is very limited and runs out very quickly.

The carpet had large stains, and there was even a worn/used sock left on the floor when I arrived (see photos). Even the bathroom toilet paper roll was almost used up when I checked in. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this was not acceptable. The room felt dirty and poorly maintained, and I would not recommend staying here.
