I ordered a headlamp for a $1015.00 and it was damaged- sent it back but they are refusing to send me a refund. Pretty good parts shop with average prices depending on what you need . Consumer needs to be mechanically knowledgeable to know what they are looking for don't expect them to know your vehicle. I am very pleased with the service I received from Lone Star Imports. I purchased a motor from them for my 2010 Range Rover HSE for my mechanic to install. After installation, it did not start. Their mechanics took a look at it, diagnosed the issue and got it up and running in a timely fashion. Terrible place to do business. Ordered & had parts shipped to me out of town. I was lied to about the condition of the parts. I ordered replacement body parts in the same paint color as my car & was told that they were undamaged, which is the reason I went ahead & purchased through them, rather than someone local. Once my parts were delivered, I contacted them to figure out what they planned on doing. Every piece they sent me had damage on it. I was told someone would return my call. That never happened. They quit answering my calls. I even tried contacting them through email. It says they offer a 90 day warranty but I'm left wondering what use that is, if you can't even get them to respond during that time frame. I feel lied to & taken advantage of. I feel like they intentionally don't communicate during the 90 day period to avoid having to resolve the issue during the warranty coverage period. If they would have just been honest about the condition of the parts to start with, this whole headache could have been avoided. However, they made the decision to either lie or ship me panels other than what we agreed to, that were undamaged as stated, then refused to even communicate with me. Since this happened I have located several other customers, both local & cross country, stating that they have had similar experiences with them not honoring their warranty. A local older gentleman posted saying he went in to exchange a part that was under warranty, & that they refused, & ordered him to get out of their shop. Since, they won't respond, I may never know why they think this type of business practice is ok. Do yourself the favor of not taking their word on the condition of parts, while they reassure you that it's covered by warranty if you should have an issue, because if you do, it seems like you'll be stuck trying to figure it out on your own, with zero help from them. read more

I run a shop and been in business for a while, even worked at a parts store just like lone star imports, every single person i had talked to about this business has bad experiences, from not respecting warranties to extremely absurd price for used parts, i had many instances where they price their parts the same as brand new from a dealer, i had times where they say they have the part and when i show up they dont have it, Michael gave me attitude when he told me they got the part and when i showed up and they have the wrong part, no apologies whatsoever. I have dealt with this business for a long time, after many incidents I have had it, again i have dealt with many business, when it comes to lone star they are the scum of used part and auto businesses in houston, no junkyard or auto businesses has a speck of respect for these kind of people. I purchased a drive shaft from this company on 11/20/2020 and it turned out to be the wrong drive shaft for the short sedan BMW, they gave me the part for the long sedan BMW, I ended up purchasing another part from auto zone on 11/22/2020 so the original drive shaft would work. During the return process today 11/23/2020 I was told there would be a 15% restocking fee, I stated to the guy that it was not stated on the return policy at the bottom of the receipt I had been given when I purchased the drive shaft, it appeared my statement would lead to discourse so I said fine lets just do this. I mentioned it again to Fred the accountant and he was surly, so I let it go and stated that I would be placing a review. I'm really impressed with this business. My driver side headlight went out in my Jaguar. I have taken my car to many places, including Jaguar dealership and was quoted a ridiculous amount of money, told I needed to replace the entire headlight, with the assembly kit starting at $500, this was just the part, itself. The labor started at $105 an hour. Finally, we called Lonestar and they informed us they could fix it. I was skeptical, because everyone else said they could not do anything with the wiring due to it being burned out. I dropped my car off at 545P on Wednesday and received a call the following morning that it was fixed and ready to go...the best part, I paid less than $200.
