I met Rick back in the late 1990's while I was getting my Honda smog checked at a Shell gas station and Rick was there getting the same thing done and he happened to know the owner and his son, we got to talking and when I needed a car repair I took it too Rick and I have NEVER taken my cars anyplace else for Repairs!!! I give Rick and his employees 10+ . They're Honest, friendly and very qualified mechanics!!! Glenn's car: Front Brakes, oil change, coils, used engine ( under 60,000 miles with 6 month warranty)water pump, spark plugs, thermostat housing, pcv valve,a/c compressor & condenser, and all new fluids and now it drives perfectly! My car: Valve cover gasket, Starter, oil change, coolant hoses. Yep spent $$$ but prices were very fair and repairs had to be done!!!! Rick explains the repair and will let you know if you can wait or if needs to be done right away!!!! The one negative review I read sounds like a miss communication with Rick! He has always given Great customer service as well as Tommy, Chuck, Ed and Pablo! I have been screwed over in the past by mechanics who either didn't do repair but charged meor did needless repairs! I'm so glad I met Rick when I did now I have a mechanic whom I can TRUST and is ALWAYS there when I need him and is accommodating to my needs!! We need more Mechanics like him!!! This used to be my go to mechanic but the previous owner is no longer there. Now it's SHADY af. You should be able to tell... trust your instincts. I went in for an oil change and came out with issues I did not have before. Another family mechanic (all the way in South OC unfortunately) rectified the sabotage at minimal cost. Came here for a SMOG check (they are STAR Certified), since it's located down the street from my house. Excellent service from the moment I stepped on property. I was greeted warmly, communicated my needs, and then 20 minutes later - I received a call stating my SMOG check was complete. I was able to pay, get my paperwork, and leave within about 5 minutes. I went to this 76 station because of Yelp and they did a good job on my wife's minivan breaks. I brought my classic 1956 Continental to them because of starting issues. $662 later and a "rebuilt" carburator, I am now 700 miles later having the carb rebuilt again. My mechanic who really knows these cars was very clear that the job was not done right the last time (clearly because still having same issue). Because this was 2 years ago (700 miles later) no warranty but I got a solid, "sorry" from Rick. Great. read more

If i could, i would give this auto shop 0 stars. Unfortunately, yelp doesnt allow this. I came into this shop with a flat that i got right outfront of the shop. They told me $15 to fix it. when i came back they told me that it was not fixable put my spare on and still charged me the $15 for 2 minutes of work. Something i could have done myself in 15 minutes, had they told me it was not fixable. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend this place to anyone! read more

It's been a year, but I still cannot relieve my resentfulness to this place. I don't know if the person Rick is racist or what, he saw me is a Chinese and charged me unreasonably and being not polite. This is my first time dealing with cars problem. I went to this place because of the check engine light on. He charged me $85 dollar for diagnosing what is the problem. Basically he just put a checking machine into my car. And That's IT! Only One minute he told me that the light on because one coil is not working. In total he charged me 250 for one coil replacement. This place is terrible. Don't come!!!!!! read more

I came here to get my car smogged this week and will most likely keep bringing my car here when it needs fixing and such. The guys were all super nice and when my car sadly did not pass they printed out a diagram online to show me exactly what it was that was wrong. I really appreciated that because usually at other places they tell me what's wrong & since I don't know cars I have no idea what they're talking about and am completely lost. I also felt like the guys here are honest in their diagnosis and don't try to sell you services you don't need which is always a plus. Guys were friendly enough but when I tried to smog my truck the guy took one look under my hood and denied me because he didn't see a smog sticker on my K&N air filter. No one has ever given me a problem about that before and the very next place I took it to passed the truck with no problems.
