The soup wasn't quite as spicy as versions I've had before, which may be a nod to the Southern palate, but it still satisfied the craving! The portions were generous and could easily feed 2-3 people--I just happened to be seriously craving both spicy soup and black bean noodles that day. The restaurant is a cozy little hole-in-the-wall, and the sweet lady working the front was doing everything herself--seating customers, taking orders, serving food, and cleaning tables--and handled it like a champ.
