I tried this place as this was one of the few places opened on a Monday. I ended up going at night time at 5pm during opening as I was really hungry and I had $120 dollars to spend and had a long drive home. The server I had was really nice and attentive as he came and checked in and filled my water up. Some servers just leave you alone and I just at and answered my questions on some of the prices like lobster and the duck. Here is what I ordered: 1. BBQ Roasted duck 2. Surf and Turf 3. Shrimp Stir Fry Now of course I did not eat everything and took some food to go. But I did enjoy most of the food. I would definitely get the surf and turf again as the steak was cooked perfect and lobster tail was awesome. The BBQ duck was alright, they gave me the tortilla wraps, but expecting more of the bread which is alright. I ordered the shrimp vegetable stir fry as well and that was good too and I needed some vegetables. Local experience--I recently visited Tien, located conveniently in the casino. We ordered the drunken noodles combo. While I enjoy spicy food, I found the dish overly spicy to the point that it was hard to fully enjoy, though the sauce itself had a good flavor. The sushi was solid, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The facility was also clean and well-kept, which was a plus. Overall, while Tien has some good qualities, I believe the coast has better options for Asian cuisine, and I'd likely choose one of those over Tien in the future. read more

This WAS our favorite restaurant until today. We were out celebrating and boy was this experience the worst. First of all, the waiter took our order and NEVER refilled our drinks-water or Pepsi. After the food order was delivered the waiter DISAPPEARED. The cook staff actually messed up the hot and sour soup-it was as thick as gravy. Our waiter never returned to our table to even give us our check. We sat for over 30 minutes waiting for the check with no drink refills or even visit from the waiter to see what was needed. He just literally disappeared and it took other customers to request their check for another server for him to even return with our check...30 minutes later. Maybe Trey was in training , I do not know. I do not know what was happening at Tien today. We won't be returning. Sad situation. We drove 45 minutes to eat at this restaurant today. I never leave negative reviews, but what happened at Tien needs to be said. My brother was served raw chicken. Not pink, not undercooked. Completely, visibly raw straight to the bone. This is a serious food safety failure that could have sent someone to the hospital with salmonella or E. coli. See attached photo. When I flagged down a gentleman walking through the restaurant who appeared to be a manager, he quickly took the dish and scrambled away. Upon returning, his response was that it "certainly won't hurt you," followed by multiple excuses and a half-hearted apology. There was zero acknowledgment of the danger and zero accountability. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior from management at any restaurant. They remade the dish and took it off the bill, which is the bare minimum and nowhere near an adequate response to serving a customer a health hazard. On top of that, I have had better sushi from $14 buffets, and at casino restaurant prices, that is simply not acceptable. The fish was far from fresh. I do want to give credit where it is due. Our server Webster did a great job. He was attentive and professional. He deserves better than to be associated with a kitchen and management that operate like this. Tien is coasting on IP Casino foot traffic rather than earning its customers. When a kitchen sends out raw poultry and management shrugs it off with excuses, that tells you everything you need to know about their standards. Chose Tien for our pre-concert dinner last night. It was our first visit and it turned out to be a delectable choice. We arrived just after they opened at 5 on a Monday so it was quiet and relaxing, but within the hour tables started to fill up. The decor was classy and comfortable with dim lighting for a cozy atmosphere, and our waiter could not have been more polite, professional, and knowledgeable in answering menu questions. Their pork belly bao was phenomenal, and I'm craving more as I'm writing this. The bulgogi, Thai tri tuna roll, and mackerel sashimi were excellent as well. Absolutely Amazing Experience! We had an unforgettable night at Tien Hibachi Grill! I booked this experience on OpenTable after reading glowing reviews and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming. Our chef, Antwon, was the highlight--funny, engaging, and incredibly talented. Tien has very limited offerings for gluten free individuals. Frustratingly they do not have anything with allergy info printed so you are stuck asking a lot of questions and feeling like a pain. No appetizers for gluten free. Only cooked items were friend rice and a dish off the menu sweet and sour chicken. I got the chicken. It was delicious. This place is a hidden gem. Snuggled in the IP casino in a section called the Cove. It is a Japanese restaurant thats serves sushi, hibachi, and other popular Japanese dishes. The inside is dimly lit and has an upscale and intimate appeal to it. However, there does not seem to be a required dress code. There are also large tables enough to seat larger families. It could be because it is located within the casino. The lighting does make it difficult to read the menu. Prices are reasonable. Expect to pay a dollar or two more than the usual japanese establishment, but really not much more. Servers are extremely friendly and take the time out to talk with you and listen. Portions are nice sized for the entrees. There is enough to take home from the entree. Appetizer, not so much. Had the crab Rangoon. It came with 4 small pieces. Tasty but I wish there were more. I also ordered the wonton soup. The flavor of the broth was really good. I was give plenty of wontons on the side to fill the bowl. There were also two golf ball sized dumplings and strips of meat in the soup. We also had the lo mein. There was enough for two. Flavor was a little on the bland side. It was nothing a little soy sauce couldnt fix. We are definitely coming back to try out more food, especially the hibachi part. We were told a reservation is required for the hibachi. We are here on a Sunday night. After a short wait we were seated. The restaurant has an upscale, mellow vibe but like other patrons were dressed casually. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and accurate with our order. We had the Philadelphia Roll, Rainbow Roll and the chicken fried rice. The sushi was good but not the best I've ever had. The chicken fried rice was good and a very large portion that could easily be shared. We were able to use a food credit from the casino with no problem. Wife made reservation for two only for it not be honored. Was sat at hibachi grill and then had to wait 5-10 minutes for table. 2. Three people from waitstaff worked with us which you would think sounds great. First person took drink order, second person asks for drinks again, third person takes food order, second person comes back later just to confirm order that wasn't started yet and included an appetizer. When drinks are low, second person says they are brewing more tea. 3. Because of the delayed order entry, a family of 4 that was seated after us and ordered a hell of a lot of stuff received their food before us. 4. After receiving main course and the first "how is everything", we were ghosted. 5. Had to flag down waiter after sitting with for a while waiting for someone to come around to check on us. 6. Never received refills. I guess the tea was still brewing. 7. Wife received email the next day showing our reservation was cancelled. PROS: sat by window and watch sunset over water. I wish I could say this place was impressive, I truly do. We frequently visit NOLA and enjoy PF Changs while we are there, and we were hopeful to find something more local. Unfortunately, this is not it. We started with the Edamame and Fried Calamari. Which for all the negative we had later in this meal, these appetizers were amazing! Both well-made and well-seasoned. The edamame was warm, tasty, and presented beautifully. While the Calamari was great in flavor, and not chewy at all. This was the highlight. My wife had the miso soup, which she had two bites (sips) of before stopping. In her exact words, she said, "this tastes like semi flavored swamp water". We BOTH had the Mongolian Beef for our main course. Our excitement in this is the same meal we get from Changs when we visit. I'll be honest here, this course tasted like the pepper steak I've had at several Chinese buffets over the years. A couple of years ago, I fell in love with the Korean BBQ here. I ate here completely by chance and had never heard of the restaurant. We were seated at the Korean BBQ/Shabu-Shabu table and ordered the Bulgogi. The waitress brought out small plates of kimchee and lettuce and a large plate of thinly sliced, seasoned raw beef to be cooked on the grill in front of us. She greased up the grill, told us what to do and left us to it. We had a lot of fun cooking everything and the meal was fabulous. I told everyone I could about Tien. The restaurant was beautiful, the service was great and I was in love -- with Korean BBQ. I craved it for weeks afterward and sought out Korean friends to tell me where I could get some that good a little closer to New Orleans. *Sigh* Cut to my most recent visit. I was going to be in Biloxi for a night and made a reservation for a Korean BBQ table. I was going back to have the Bulgogi of my dreams and it was going to be the highlight of my trip. We got to Tien and were seated at the same table as before. My re-creation was right on track. We ordered some crispy lobster dumplings and a super crunchy roll for the table as appetizers. The lobster dumplings were okay, but were a little fishy for my taste. The super crunchy roll was wonderful and lived right up to my memories and expectations of Tien. Then, finally, we were ready. My dreams of Tien's Korean BBQ were about to become reality again. We ordered the Bulgogi and had a drink while we waited for the setup to begin and the grill to be heated. And we waited, and waited, and waited... Finally, our waiter comes out and puts down a dish of what looked like pepper steak, said "Enjoy" and walked away. I just sat there for a minute, waiting for someone to realize they had given us the wrong food. When it didn't appear that this was going to happen, I called the waiter back. Then the following exchange took place: "Excuse me. I'm sorry, but I believe we have the wrong food." "What did you order?" "The Bulgogi" "That's what I gave you." "But, it's supposed to be raw. We're supposed to cook it on the grill." "Well, I had the chef cook it in the back. I have other tables and I don't have time to stand here and cook it for you or to supervise you cooking it." And he walked away again. And I'm left thinking, WHAT?!?!? I'm sitting here, AT A KOREAN BBQ TABLE. THAT I SPECIFICALLY RESERVED. SO THAT I COULD COOK KOREAN BBQ. IS THIS A JOKE?!?! Unfortunately, that wasn't the worst of it. The Bulgogi was awful. It tasted like old Chinese food and had the consistency of rubber. It was one of the most disappointing meals I have had in a long time. It was just as expensive as the wonderful meal I had previously had here, but the service and most of the food was horrible. I think it will be a while before I go back. Maybe I'll try some of the other Asian dishes they have. Or maybe I'll give my old love another chance. But this time when I make the reservation I will make it clear -- I WILL BE COOKING THE BBQ! read more

I have been trying to go to Tien for the past six months, since I moved to Mississippi, but have never arrive at a time when they were open, even when I showed up at a time when they advertised they'd be open. I had long given up on ever eating here. Tonight, with the weather finally warming up in Biloxi, I decided to venture out again and suggested to some friends that we try to go here. With them by my side, Tien was finally open when I showed up. (The place is only open on Thursdays through Saturdays.) The food here is quite expensive. Not prohibitively expensive, but clearly they're upselling. The novelty of this place though is that they serve dishes from all over Asia - Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean - so the menu is wide in its scope. Generally when restaurants hold themselves out as being able to serve many different types of foods I find that they do none of their dishes particularly well, but I'm glad to report that I was pleasantly surprised with my meal. It wasn't outstanding, but it is probably one of the best Asian restaurants in the Biloxi area. Though more expensive, I think the service and the atmosphere justify the pricing, at least on the lower end of the menu. I had the Hong Kong style chow mien, which was quite good. The restaurant is not smokey, like other restaurants may be in casinos, which I liked. The service was good and the interior design of the restaurant was very nice. Eating there made me momentarily forget that I am living in Biloxi, and for that this restaurant gets high praise. read more
