We cannot get enough of camping during the pandemic. We found this campsite looking for cabins close to the beach. The cabuns are exactly as described. Rustic with a few upgrades like AC and a space heater. The site comes with a fire pit, grill and picnic table. Lots of fun for our girls. The jumping pillow, pool and playground were favorites. I had a hard time getting my girls to go to the actual beach since we had so much entertainment at the site.

When she calls to cancel and get a refund since she pays monthly, they are rude and unprofessional. They won't even give her the time of day. This is the most unprofessional, unorganized service we have ever seen. Consider other parking options if you want to stay on schedule because these people clearly have no work ethnic and do not give a damn about their customers. The shuttle ride is about 5-6 minutes to my wife's place of employment. When she calls for a shuttle to come pick her up, they say they will leave right then, yet it takes 20-30 minutes for them to arrive. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! She is in the process of changing parking lots. Hopefully they don't screw anyone else.

The last dot of my trip here my kids wanted to go to the pool one last time. So we focused on getting the RV packed up then went up to the front parking area to checkout while the kids went swimming. Literally no one else in the pool this time in the morning. After about 5 min this angry "Karen" from the office comes out yelling at us saying we're no longer guests and need to leave since we checked out. She said she'd be nice and give us 15 min to leave. Mind you it's not even checkout time yet I didn't have to tell them anything. On top of that what's 2 kids getting one last swim in as their vacation ends harming that you need to come out and literally yell at us?

All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, especially a huge 'Shout Out' to Alicia and Theresa. Theresa helped us on making changes on our reservation before we arrived. We are planning to stay for 2 months and she was able to secure us in only 2 sites within such a long period of time. And I have to say Alicia 'rocks'! She is very knowledgable, super friendly, nice and helpful. She is the Go-to person in the office. She is awesome! I asked to borrow an outdoor broom, she called maintenance and had it delivered to my site! How nice was that!!! :) As for the campground, it is very clean and I love that they have gravels and grass. We have stayed at a few other KOAs and most of them have dirt ground. I am grateful that I don't have to wipe my dog's paws every time he climbs back in the trailer. The site maybe a little small if you have a bigger rig. As for us, it is perfect. I see a lot of guys maintaining the campground. I think they are doing a great job! Bathroom/Shower is clean and water pressure of the shower is great. There is No negative experience for us and I am very happy that we found this campground.

The bathhouse is near the main office while the other restrooms throughout property are no more than a 2-3 minute walk from your site. The cabins do have a full bathroom and you do not need to hold and press to keep the shower head on. The Cabins also offer a gazebo with propane grill. The nature trail on site is short but can be challenging with unlevel ground and nature's confetti (wet leaves) ultimately bringing you towards Lake Warren (bonus there is a beautiful koi pond on the right hand side of the residential gravel road in the residential area). Past the pool area there are also basketball courts and a tennis court. Every weekend there are activities that are family and budget friendly. We can't wait to return.

The bushes before the site are high so be careful you don't pass the entrance like we almost did a few times (Ok I did once at least). The resort is clean and has a small cute movie theater, activity center (we did not use it), basketball and tennis court. There is a nice size pool and a huge lake which is dog friendly (not a fan of this rule)... The resort has nice seasonal site but the rentals are on the smaller side. The first few nights were felt squashed in with the big RV buses on all sides of us. Once they left it felt a bit roomy with the empty sites. The fire ring is made from cement and kind of sucky. The wood table was worn. The staff was very friendly. The camp store was huge with many items to choose. The ice cream shop had tasty treat and also served good food. We had our bikes so it was easy to bike around the resort especially to the lake. It was quiet in our area during quiet areas (I saw others had issues). A few stores/markets (Aldi, Giant, Starbucks) were nearby so it was easy to run for missing items. Internet was crappy even with my hotspot. I guess it's good as it forced me to relax more but I like having my own option. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back next year.

The neighboring group blasted bass-heavy music from Friday night through Sunday morning, sometimes beginning around 8 a.m. Their music and conversations included extremely offensive, profane and racist language, even though children were present. Their site grew to approximately four cars and five tents, and their two unleashed dogs repeatedly entered our campsite and bothered our leashed dog. We complained multiple times to the office, security booth and staff, but kept getting passed around. The music would briefly go down and then start again. The same group even brought a huge speaker to the lake, making it impossible to escape the noise. On Sunday morning, Alvin from security finally got them to lower the music and put their dogs away, but they were already preparing to leave. They continued cursing and angrily discussing who had reported them. They were clearly very angry, and the situation became so concerning that I carried mace and nearly called the police. We could not relax, talk, cook or enjoy the campground. I have camped and traveled extensively and have never experienced anything this disruptive or so poorly handled. We will never return.

I was hoping to stay there again but it looks like they don't rent the shipping containers anymore?) This place completely lived up to my expectations. My container #9 was immaculate, with a small fridge, record player, microwave, pod-coffee maker, sink, and full bathroom with standup shower. The shower was a little small, be careful of accidentally hitting the water handle because you might make the water too hot, but it was amazing how good the shower was otherwise! Nice, hot water, good pressure. Also, the AC/Heat worked great. The view was spectacular. I let Dennis (his name was on a sign to call if problems) know that the curtain rod had come down because the end of it was missing, but I was able to put it back up. When I called, he answered right away, and he was very appreciative of the call. It's next to the Skyline drive in theater, so you can watch the movies that are playing, and also it made it easy for them to allow for free parking. Free parking in NY!! It felt safe, and I experienced no issues leaving my car overnight for 2 days. There's a door with code that you have to punch in to get into the area with all the pods/containers. And then a separate code to get into your specific container (not sure about the pods). I could not get over the views. I was staying in a hostel in Manhattan the night before for the same price which was TINY and overlooked an alley with a bunch of condensers. This glamping was so much better, and I couldn't stop looking at the views! Each container has a little sitting area, and mine was the first of them, so there were people sitting outside my container on my second night, which I didn't mind since I was already in bed but they were right under my window, so I could hear them until they left. Maybe a little fence separating the first container's sitting area from the general area would be helpful. I would definitely come back to this place. Especially want to come back with my partner, as the views are super romantic :) Also, it was in Greenpoint, which is fantastically located, tons of great restaurants (go to Oxomoco if you can, amazing food!!!).

There is a nature center with a museum that's free to walk-through to get a break from the sun if you need as well as a café and some restrooms that are right at the front gate as well as Porta potties that are along the beach route. They are not common though so if you drive by one when you first get there, I would use it, I did see people bring surfboards and go out in the other sections where people were fishing and you have to have a permit to drive onto the beach, which is done by lottery I heard loads of people coming to Swim but there's more than enough space on the beach that everyone spreads out and you get more than enough room in privacy that you don't even feel all the people that are there. Most people in this section of the beach have dogs with them but everyone follows the leash rules and I've never seen anyone not pick-up after their dog. One or two of the parking lots have port-a-potty's and the main two beaches (where you can swim but dogs aren't allowed) have pavilions with restrooms, a cafe, and a beach store.
