He made the booking process easy and simple and wished us safe travels on our way to the Motel. We were also going to be arriving a bit late and Joe kept the front desk open so we could pick up our keys! The rooms are so cute and have almost everything you need for a weekend away. We had a fridge, microwave, tv, and Keurig in our room. The only think that seemed to be missing was a hairdryer so be sure to bring your own when you come! One of the best things about the Motel was that Joe gave us a ton of suggestions for restaurants and things to do on the coast. The Islander Motel also provides beach tags for guests so you don't have to buy a daily one at the beach. Our stay at the Islander Motel was awesome! Joe was the best tenant you could ask for and we were amazed by the customer service. The room was extraordinary and very clean. We had room 1A and had a large bathroom with a beautiful tub and sink. Each room had hangers, a tv with Apple TV, a k-cup coffee machine, and two full beds that fit me my husband and son. Each room had rocking chairs outside and we were able to sit and watch the sunset from the room. Everything was in walking distance and i would say we will be coming back. You're not staying at the Ritz Carlton. Yes, the Sunburst Motel probably needs renovating since it was last decorated decades ago. Yes, there were cigarette burns in the bedding. However, it's clean for the most part, which can't be said about all of the motels in Seaside Heights. The bathroom was very nice. No, there isn't shampoo, body wash, or conditioner. Unfortunately, you'll have to stop by the local CVS and pick up a couple travel sized bottles. You'll survive. Some pros about our stay at Sunburst: There was a functional triple lock on the door. Definitely helps to know that we're safe. The beds were incredibly comfortable and warm despite the cigarette burn holes. That didn't really bother us too much. The bedding was clean. No bed bugs. We had a nice room with two beds, a kitchenette, TV, and refrigerator. The man who runs the front desk was very nice and helpful. I forgot to get his name but he was very friendly. It's very close to the middle of the boardwalk and beach. There was only one con about staying here. It's very loud and the walls are thin. We had noisy neighbors. Not really a fault of the motel but Seaside typically attracts the louder and younger crowd. Not a huge issue. There's also no daily maid service which doesn't bother us but I know that's a deal breaker for some. Overall, this is a comfortable, fairly clean, and safe place to stay in Seaside Heights. Again, don't come here if you're looking for a ritzy hotel. You'll definitely be disappointed. In fact, don't come to the Jersey Shore at all if you want to go somewhere classy. This isn't it. If you just want a comfortable and pleasant stay, this is a good option. Believe me, there are a lot of motels in the area that are in horrible condition and I would not feel safe staying at. Sunburst isn't one of them. It deserves the four stars. The Charlroy Motel is also another family friendly option in the area. More expensive and on the quieter side of town but worth the money. They were booked for the summer so Sunburst was our next option and they didn't disappoint!

Very clean. I travel a lot and normally never walk barefoot. I had no problem at the Magnolia house. Well done! The outside of the house was lacking detail. For example, the chairs were broken and the wicker chairs are falling apart so it wasn't very welcoming to sit down. The inside of main house was lovely and Victorian feel throughout. The outside, however, was missing the detail again. The grounds were overgrown and also needed sweeping. They have a pool table outside that looks terrible. They had one bike with a broken chain. Again this is not a show stopper but it just gives you insight as to how the care or lack of care to the outside. The service was good. Very friendly and inviting. The food was ok. I wouldn't call it gourmet style and I was a little disappointed to have sausage 2 days in a row. I was expecting something different. My big complaint is no Wifi. We were totally expecting and planned to stream music and relax on our porch. The day we checked in we were told Tony went to buy new router. The next morning I confirmed I was accessing the correct access point but I was being prompted for a password. I asked the waitress if she knew the password. She said she needed to ask Tony. I felt bad because i didn't want to make a big deal. Tony came out and advised there is no password but then I showed him that I was, in fact, being promoted for a password. He seemed a annoyed and said well I can't help you right now and now is not the time. Now I felt really bad. I certainly understood but i wasn't asking him to troubleshoot right then, I just needed him to know that his new router was in fact prompting users for a password. There was never any follow up to resolve the issue. Tony only complained about spending 4 hours trying to fix it the day before. So we were out of luck to stream music or videos. Lucky for me I didn't need it for work. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and would recommend it to others. You really won't find a more friendlier team on the island who make you feel at home. They seemed to have a lot of availability in the high season where other B&Bs had no vacancies. The location is perfect. Very close to all the restaurants and about 2 and half blocks from the beach.

I have 2 small kids and I would have rather something quieter. It seems to be a popular place to go out for drinks in the area. Will not be going back.
