This is the absolute worst campground i have ever been to and i've been camping for 26 years. I…read morehonestly don't even know where to start. The office doesn't open til 11am so when we arrived, (albeit early- we drove from 6 hours away) an elderly man who worked at the campground told us we could set up and gave us a site number. Turns out he gave us the wrong campsite, (he got fired the next day) which we found out when we came back from swimming and there were four cars and 20 people set up on our site and the site next door and they had moved all of our stuff. We went to the office and they apologized and said they gave us the wrong site so we moved. Our actual campsite didn't have a fire ring but the office hours are absurd and they were closed. The lake on the campground is nice, until you get down to the water and realize that it's bright orange. It's like swimming in iced tea. Ew. The bathrooms here are absolutely filthy, no toilet paper in any of the four stalls, used pads stuck to the floor and believe it or not- there was a poop on the floor in one of the stalls. I spoke to an employee and told her there was no toilet paper and she rolled her eyes and sighed like refilling it was the hardest job in the world. She ended up by putting toilet paper in the stalls but not in the roll holder, instead she put the rolls on the backs of the toilet which were all wet. The showers are filthy (bring shower shoes!) and not a single rack or shelf to put your things down in the showers. The showers have no water pressure, it's like showering under a hamster bottle. There was also no hot water. The three sinks are all full of sand from people washing their feet in them. The people in the site next to us- 20 people and 7 tents on two campsites- brought a PARAKEET in a cage and it squawked all day and night. They also brought a huge projector screen and played video games on it all night long. My boyfriend and I laid awake in our teardrop camper listening to a bird and watching the Mario Kart screen light up our ceiling all night. The next day I complained to an employee and she didn't seem to care at all. The management here is AWFUL. There's a blonde woman with glasses who is rude, unfriendly and an overall waste of space. She acted like nothing was her responsibility and that doing her job was a complete annoyance. She didn't enforce any of the campground rules- four dogs off leash running through my site, music blasting until 1am even though quiet hours are 11pm-8am, ATVs and 4wheelers ripping through the campground. I've never encountered someone so rude at a campground in my life. This campground has the potential to be so great but it's such a disappointment. For 50$ a night you'd expect a smile or a hello from staff and toilet paper and a hot shower. This place is a joke. I requested a refund for our last night since we had such an awful experience that we left a day early but the lady smirked and said no after a half hearted phone call to the owner. My boyfriend and I drove 6 hours to have a vacation together, and he actually proposed to me while on this trip and this campground and its staff tarnished our engagement trip and left a really crappy memory on what should've been an amazing weekend. Do not waste your time at this filthy, awful campground. Better Business Bureau will be hearing from me.

If i could give negative stars i would. After being without WiFi for 3 weeks and water for 6 days host told me to leave but never cancelled the reservation. Tried to get an extra months rent and asked for extra money to clean a property with no eatet. Stay as far away as you can from this place.

We are currently traveling the country and I can truly say that even two months in, this is the…read moredirtiest and least friendly campground we have been to. The only reason it isn't a one, is because if you are self contained (not using their bathroom) and not having to ever speak to management, it is like any other campground. Management is very passive aggressive when they speak to you. The electrical boxes are outdated and do not include 20 amp plugs (every single other campground we have been to has had 20 amp plugs). The showers were horrendous!! I will attach pictures of the showers for you, as they are truly disgusting (I am not referring to the water stains from well water, I am referring to the true dirtiness). When you step in the shower, they have a mat on the floor and you can here dirt crunch under your feet the entire time. I truly believe they have NEVER rinsed under the mat. Once they decide to be a bit more friendly and a whole lot cleaner, they will be much better off.

Spent Labor Day weekend at this campground and am very happy about my experience…read more Organized, attentive, and welcoming staff made reservation process easy and hassle free. It's high season for campgrounds during this time of year with everyone trying to enjoy remaining summer days and finding a good spot may pose a challenge. My girlfriend called Turtle Run and the stuff got us quickly on the books. The campground is located on the banks of Wading River and you totally get that feel that you are in the woods. Heck, I even did not have any cell coverage! For those like me looking for a way to unplug and enjoy getting back to nature consider this a great spot. Closest shopping center is half an hour away. The campground is well run and organized. A few amenities worth mentioning: - clean bathhouses (restrooms, showers) - on-site laundry - games and fun activities for kids and adults - deli offering delicious meals Accommodations vary and range from a tent site, to trailers and cabins. We stayed in a "primitive" trailer, which was $90/night and it totally hit the spot. Ample room for two people along with your personal picnic table, fire ring, grill, and a parking spot. You can buy wood from them for $5 a bundle which is a good deal.
