From start to completion, my experience with Long Bros Construction was fantastic. Angel arrived on time for the estimate appointment and was very professional, personable, and knowledgeable about what the company could offer. He provided the estimate in a timely manner and worked with us to tailor it as we decided what exactly we wanted to do. I believe that the price provided was fair and a good value considering the scope of work. The job ended up including the replacement of a garage side door, major repair of stucco around a new electrical panel (including inside the garage) plus stucco repairs around the entire exterior, repainting of all stucco repairs, and repair and repainting of all wood trim including the new door and the front door. Fred was the project manager/foreman assigned to our project and he was also a consummate professional. He was there daily and took care of supervising the multiple subcontractors who were onsite working as well as doing a lot of work himself. He was very good at keeping me in the loop and went over and above to deliver an excellent job. All the subcontractors were pleasant and were great about cleaning up at the end of each day. There was a lot of work to be done but they started on a Tuesday and were done by the next Tuesday. If we have any other home projects or have friends who have home improvement projects, I will not hesitate to contact or recommend Long Bros Construction. read more

Rafa and crew just finished painting our home. Our experience was A+ all the way ! We got a referral to Jeff the owner. He walked us through the whole process before we signed and made us comfortable with everything. Everything he promised they delivered. We had a not so good experience with the previous Painter that did our interior so were a little gun shy - Jeff and Company even fixed the stuff that was wrong inside on top of everything they did on the outside for us. We hired Long Painting to refinish our ceiling after popcorn asbestos abatement, and redo the floor. Jeff offered excellent advice pointing us to flooring that we're very happy with, and his team did an outstanding job with the drywall work, floor, baseboards, and paint. There were two minor details that their team addressed promptly and cheerfully. When an unexpected issue cropped up during construction they communicated extremely well, mitigated the problem, and generally were a delight to work with. I can't say enough good things about out Long Brothers. Other contractors are notoriously unreliable, go over budget, disrespect your time and are non responsive. Jeff Long and the painting crew headed up by Carlos were the exact opposite in every way. Jeff was personable, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. He had great suggestions on colors and renovations that were spot-on. Carlos and his entire crew (Javier, Mike, Juan and all the others) were extraordinarily respectful but even better, did an outstanding job. Carlos was on top of everything. We had the entire house repainted inside and out along with the accompanying minor repairs. They did it beautifully. And where something wasn't to our liking they promptly addressed our concerns without any attitude at all. We even decided to change the colors of our windows after most them were painted and they worked extra hours to get it done. They were eager to please which made it much more bearable having workers in and out of our house for a couple weeks. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend to my friends. read more

I found Jeff on Yelp, so I'm paying it forward to increase visibility. These guys don't have enough reviews. I came to them with a vague desire to update two small bathrooms, and they worked with me when my guidance left a ton to be desired. What should we do about paint? I don't know, some kind of white, you guys figure it out. Boom, done. So I hired them and left for two weeks. Jeff sent me lots of texts and progress pics, asked my opinions on stuff like layout, and his team got one of the two bathrooms far enough along that I had a functional toilet when I arrived back in town, so I could live comfortably at home while they finished instead of needing a hotel. Which I appreciated, to say the least. Throughout, Jeff's folks put more care into the bathrooms than I would have done myself. When they opened stuff up, they found out the microwave was mounted wrong on the other side of the wall, and fixed it. They found out that the bathroom fans were just venting into the attic, so they installed new ductwork. The tile guy (Chuy) was here on weekends, sorting piles of shower pan sheets, showing me that they were in a couple different flavors. I shrugged and said I'd be fine if it was random, but he went to the store to exchange a box for me anyway. Sure enough, I'd have been annoyed if he did it my way. Everything's clean now, ready to go, and I love my new bathrooms, so thanks a lot! read more

Jeff and his amazing team recently did a full renovation our 3bdrm 2ba condo in Mission Beach and did a phenomenal job! They literally stripped the place down to nothing and built it back up with a new kitchen design, cabinets, island, lighting, floors, paint throughout, a new bathroom, all new fixtures, gas line...etc. and it's beautiful! They truly do it all! We used them initially for stucco/paint but after the great work on that, we had them address some issues that needed to be addressed from a previous, not so great contracting experience. Not Impressed. I gave it some time, but at this point I think it behooves me to complete a review. I had Long Brothers Construction do two phases of fascia work on the exterior of the building including replacing the fascia on the side of the building with some stucco patching, and the second phase, several months later, would consist of the fascia on the roof. The first phase of exterior work was fair - 8 boards side of the building. The cost was $$$$ for the type of job. I didn't beat them up on the price. There were some QA issues post completion that I had to point out. The second phase, on the roofline of the second story story building, was not good at all. I will have to redo the roofline work at some point in the future. Even the first phase, the stucco patching of the building, the corner will have to be redone in the future. The current rains showed the workmanship of the fascia. IN a nutshell, I'm not a satisfied customer and would not use them again. If you look at the photos I've attached, you can draw your own conclusions. read more

Bathroom remodel turned out very beautiful beyond my expectations. Tile work was very detailed and Chuey worked tirelessly with us to have the tile exactly as we liked. I unfortunately ordered tile from Bedrosians online and would warn you against that as they have horrible customer service. I now know I should have ordered the tile from the store directly and not from the website as they are not the same experience. The Bedrosians people delivered the tile in the middle of the road in between cars and said they weren't responsible for the tile after it left the truck. Luckily Jeff's team rescued us from the horrible Bedrosians online experience and got those huge heavy tile platforms safely out of the street and installed beautifully in our bathroom. We referred Jeff to our neighbor who is also looking to do some tile work. read more

I bought a condo in Little Italy and my prior contractors were not interested in a downtown job. I ran into Jeff and John in the lobby as they were leaving another job in the building. From that moment to the very end of the remodel, I was so glad to have happened upon them that day. They surpassed anything my last contractors had done at my prior place....and with such a great crew. All very helpful, professional, and friendly. I hired them for a complete overhaul of the unit. Every room, from wall to floor, from kitchen to bathroom and each bedroom...it was previously a rental and I was upgrading to make it home. They redid counters, cabinets, toilets, doors, tile, floor, shower, faux brick wall....literally everything! They did an outstanding job with it and I am happy to come home each night to exactly what I envisioned for the unit. The crew was on time, took care of the property, stayed in guidelines of the building (which is a job of its own in a downtown high rise!), and really spent time making sure all was correct. John was there most days and stayed on top of all of the moving parts and was super communicative. He is a very good leader and the entire team was fantastic, but a couple of the crew that really stood out were Chuy, the tile guy, and Manny, the all around, whatever you need guy! Chuy's focus was the bathroom tile and faux brick wall...and it looks amazing. Manny's focus depended on the day. He did so many things and was so helpful. If I had an idea, he was there to make it happen. This job was done over the summer, but I waited to give a review to be sure the work withheld the test of some time. It's been over 3 months now and I have had no concerns. I had a very, slight adjustment that needed to be made this past week and Jeff and John responded almost immediately and were on it. Manny showed up, made the adjustment. He was just as helpful and happy as always with no complaints, hassle, or issue. Now that Long Brothers has completed our stucco/repair job (the chimney on our model home was exposing some shoddy construction - the Long Brothers crew diagnosed the issue, fixed it, painted it AND power washed our tile roof!!) Jeff and his crew took my new to me 1979 condo and brought it into the modern age. It had worse than orange peel texture walls. They were more like cottage cheese texture.
