I walked to the counter and was immediately greeted by a sweet, chirpy face. I ordered the obvious - cafe sua da and at $4.39, I consider it a fair price. A true brewhouse, the drink menu is entirely coffee and just different ways you can order it (hot, iced, frozen). I went with an OG choice and it was so delicious that if I come back, I'll likely order the same thing again. The crushed ice, sweetness, consistency - everything about my drink was perfect. Been here twice -- the first time I got a Royal Milk tea slush and the second time, I got their cafe sua da (Viet ice coffee with condensed milk). Both were pretty decent. Wanted to get something different today, so I went with what my husband orders, a strawberry avocado smoothie. I understand it's not on the menu, but this is a drink that he has been getting since 2017 when we were dating. When we ordered, the guy at the window is hesitant and says they can't make it, then he changes his mind and says it's okay they can make it and told us our total, then when we get to the window he flips on us and says they can't make it again? I don't understand how they suddenly can't make the drink when we have ordered it since 2017. On the label, it's printed as a custom smoothie, and they used to make and advertise "custom smoothies" where you're able to choose two fruits. Sister had been wanting to try this place for a while but she said that there's always a long line and she's intimidated by it. But the line was shorter today and we went to go try it. It was good but the taste was a little different. BF said it's in the difference from the condensed milk they use. He drinks a lot of Vietnamese Coffee and makes it at home everyday. Best place for Royal artichoke tea. Service is always friendly in drive thru or inside. I always get mine with boba and 50% sweet and light ice. Then I buy another one with no ice no boba. It will keep for about a day or two but beyond that ...the agar gets slimy and thick. It gets pretty busy inside. Very limited seating inside and out. I've always came here for the drinks but recently found out how delicious their snacks are as well. The royal artichoke here is best in Houston, even at regular sugar level it's not too sweet, very refreshing, and filled with fun toppings. I also like their Cafe Den Da (Black Coffee), super strong and just what you need for a pick me up. Recently, I got the chance to try their Popcorn Chicken and Ham and Cheese Croissant. Both were amazing, especially the popcorn chicken. Have the be the best popcorn chicken I've had to date. Just the perfect amount of crunch on the outside and juicy chicken on the inside. The croissant was made out of sweet dough which was a bit unexpected but it paired very well with the ham and cheese, just ask them to heat it up for you. read more

How have I not known about this place until today?? I don't know how many times I've driven by and dismissed it because it had coffee in the name. I just assumed it was like a Starbucks! But no, my friends... it's so much better. This has now jumped up to one of my fave tea/drink places via the royal artichoke tea that everyone raves about. I was very skeptical about all the reviews because artichoke? In my drink?? Fear not, as there was no veggie taste or otherwise unpalatable odor. It was just refreshing goodness on a hot day. It usually takes me a full day to finish a drink - the royal artichoke tea barely made it the ride home. The sweetness is just right, and if refreshing was a flavor this would be it. I'm also don't usually like all kinds of stuff in my drink, but somehow it was perfect here!! I regret not getting a second one. Enough about the royal artichoke tea everyone else already knew about.... We also got the mocha coconut frozen slush. This was also 5/5 - the coconut cut the bitterness of the coffee just right. I don't like my drinks too sweet so this was just right. I also got the lavender milk tea (3/5) at half sweetness. I'll echo some of the other reviews in saying that I don't really taste the lavender. It's a solid milk tea for sure but wouldn't get it again. We ended up with 4 drinks for ~$20 which is not bad at all. Drive thru moves at a good pace and they make sure not to let it get backed up by shuffling people to the front to wait for drinks. There are so many boba tea shops in Houston as well as the great big chains like Gong Cha and Sharetea, but Long Coffee is surely the best and most unique. Long Coffee dares to play with lots of amazing Asian flavors, such as: longan, lychee, yogurt milk tea, avocado, durian, etc. I always order my milk tea with the least amount of sugar (I believe it's level 3) and it's perfect. Longan milk tea: Delicious longan flavor with longan pieces on the bottom. I know they're just canned longan pieces but they're still very good and have great flavor. Lychee milk tea: Another favorite of mine. Has a bit floral taste to it and tastes just like lychee. Yogurt milk tea: This drink makes me feel very nostalgic. It's simply because Vietnamese yogurt is very different than Aamerican/Greek yogurt, and I can tell that they make their own Vietnamese-style yogurt to use for this drink. It's slightly sweet and creamy, has a nice hint of condense milk taste, and absolutely brings back my childhood. Durian smoothie: Super yummy! I'm a huge durian lover, so I'm very biased about this kind of fruit and drink. Durian is not something you can use powder for the flavor - I don't think there is durian powder like other fruit powder. They use fresh durian or frozen durian for this drink. I can chew a bunch of durian pieces in my smoothie. The fruit itself is already sweet, so I still stick to the lowest amount of sweetness for this drink. Did I mention the price? It's about $4.50-4.75 for a large smoothie while other places charge for almost $6 for this drink. I see many people order avocado durian smoothie but I haven't tried it. I like to enjoy avocado and durian separately. Next time I'll try avocado smoothie - I'm sure it'll be great. Pricing: Cheaper than most places. When was the last time I see a large milk tea for $4 or less? Most places are almost $5 per drink now. Long Coffee drinks are reasonably priced and consistently delicious. Loyalty program: Always a bonus. Buy 10 drinks get 1 free. They also have a drive-through lane which is awesome. I've ordered anything on the drive-through lane, so I can't speak for the experience regarding how fast/slow the service is. Always LONGing for more! My favorite drink shop in Houston! Popular location because of the drive thru line in one of the popular plazas. All my friends and family love this place because it is a stand-alone locally owned place with tons of options for drinks and even snacks. Their name is coffee and their cafe sua da (Vietnamese coffee) does not disappoint. I love both the iced and the frozen version. But I always get the frozen because it just always hits the spot especially in the Houston heat. I was here for a week with my family and we drove 30 minutes every day just for drinks here. As great as their coffees are, their royal artichoke tea is great as are the milk teas and smoothies (spicy mango!) refreshing and quality drinks that you can adjust ice and sweet levels. It's not hard to see that Long Coffee has a stronghold in the Bellaire bubble of boba shops. They're busy all the time and easily have some of the most interesting variety I've seen in the south; they're truly one of the best the city has to offer. For starters, they might have the largest menu I've ever seen for a beverage establishment, let alone a boba cafe or coffee spot. They have awesome flavors for each of their iced teas, flavored milk teas, coffee, smoothies, fruit slush, and icys. The best part? All the drinks are under $4. In terms of what I like, it's hard to narrow it down to a favorite drink. Here's a few I enjoy: café sua da (Viet Iced Coffee), pineapple delight smoothie, strawberry mango, matcha green tea snow, horchata, and mixed berry slush. There's a plenty of flavors I'd still love to try. They also have a drive thru window, outdoor seating, and a really impressive crew of people working behind the counter to ensure drinks come out timely. The majority of those who frequent this area are Vietnamese, who heavily favor the stronger and more powerfully sweet (thanks to rich, thick, condensed milk) Vietnamese coffee, did not patronize SBux as anticipated... forcing Sbux to actually shut down operations and move the heck out of dodge. In comes an eager, business saavy Asian entrepreneur who took the shell and some of the elements of the former store and transformed it into what now is probably the most highest grossing beverage place in town! Smoothies, dessert drinks, Banh Mi, Cafe Sua Da all can be had here and all very good. I could not believe how they could cram all ten employees in and also be able to keep organized the drink line in-store and also that often back-up drive thru area! I love my vacations like how I love my coffee. LONG... Haha. This place is kind of ironic in a way that the list of teas and smoothies is a lot longer than the list of coffees. They also get you to believe that all they sell is coffee. But the title I'm sure has to do with someone's first or last name. I wanted a large but they only have it in small and was pretty disappointed. This could be because they freshly make it on the spot while other places pre made it so you could get a large. Either way, the coffee was too sweet for my taste so I wouldn't have finished. Some of you might like it if you like more sweet than strong.
