Staff has always been friendly and helpful. I like the way they have my previous orders on file so it's easy to see which doggy treats had been the most successful. It's not cheap, but the staff has been upfront about their less expensive alternatives that meet my needs. The mint chews in particular are satisfying to the canines and take a while to consume. Have been to three locations, and while all have been friendly I prefer Tiburon. read more

Just tried this place out to groom my handsome guy and they did amazing! I highly recommend this place. They are personal and ask questions so they know exactly what you are wanting as the outcome of the grooming. I didn't think it was possible but he came back to me cuter than before! read more

The last several months have been a whirlwind of change and new beginnings. As 2022 was coming to a close I made one of the biggest decisions I've ever made before. I, with the support of my sister and boyfriend, adopted my first cat! It was certainly an exciting yet nervous moment for me to be at the Humane Society and actually meeting some of the cats there. I was set on adopting a black male cat that had been there for awhile who was timid with new people. However, after much consideration we decided to meet a few other cats to see if they were a better fit. We were taken to the cat alley section of the Humane Society and met my future cat. She greeted us as soon as we came into her little room and was very comfortable with us. I knew right then and there she would fit right in! Flash forward to a few months later. I knew Long Dog Fat Cat would be my go to place for most of my cat's needs. I do my best to support small businesses where I can so this was a no brainer for me. Luckily, this location is only a few minutes away from where I live so it worked out really well. I had already picked up food and litter a few times here so I was familiar with what they carried. BUT, what I was unfamiliar with was their free Adopt a Cat kit!! When my boyfriend and I got to the checkout, he was buying some dog food and I was buying some kitty litter, I started chatting with Kristen about my cat. She casually asked when I adopted her and asked if I had already gotten my adopt a cat kit. I had no idea what it was but she showed me this little card with a list of items one would need when they bring their cat home! You can take advantage of it within the year that you adopt your cat!! I decided to get it that day on the spot. It comes with certain brands of food, litter, topper, and treats. You receive: one small bag of kibble, raw food (frozen), food topper, and treat. I was astounded at this wonderful kit! It's almost everything you need to ensure a happy kitty in their new space. Pochacco is set for a good long while with her new food. Kristen was so great in explaining each product as well. I was unfamiliar with the items they carry in their freezer and it was a great way to be introduced to items that are going to be great for my cat's health and longevity. She was very knowledgeable! On a different note, I've compared their prices to some online pet places for the food I purchase for my cat and Long Dog Fat Cat came out a couple of dollars less than the prices I had seen. I love supporting brick and mortar stores, especially places where I can talk to someone about them and how it's going to help Pochacco. I highly recommend anyone who plans on adopting a cat or dog to check out what Long Dog Fat Cat has to offer. Especially their adoption kits! I just happened to notice there was a Long Dog Fat Cat location in the Tiburon area as we went to Baskin Robbins for some dairy free ice cream. We had to go in and check it out since we are fans of the Village Pointe location. Similar in design to the Village Point location, the dog products and cat products are in the same places so if you walk into this location, you will know where to go to get what you need. They have a variety of natural pet foods, treats, and toys for both dogs and cats. My favorite things they have here are the baked products they sell. They are cutely designed and look so delicious I almost want to eat one! I really like that this store is spacious and clean. The people who work here are super helpful and friendly.
