My tattoo

I wanted to get a lip tattoo and my friend went here and got it for $100. Every place I called in Atlanta was asking for around $150 so I ended up coming here. When I asked they wanted to charge me $150 but I ended up negotiating for $140 (still not good). The first thing I noticed walking in was that they required cash which I found a bit odd. The picture below with the red nails is the picture I showed for inspo. He agreed to do it and walked me into the room. I noticed how almost nothing had protection. The table/bed he wanted me to lay on had no plastic and his work table also had no protect. The only protection I saw were the gloves he was wearing. There was no prep for my tattoo except putting paper towels in my mouth to stop and drooling. This wasn't a big red flag for me because I don't know anything about prepping lip tattoos. When he placed the tattoo on my inner lip I noticed how it wasn't as far in my mouth as I had imagined. I just told myself he's a professional so he knows what he's doing. The tattoo itself didn't hurt at all and was super quick which i appreciated. When he showed me the finished result I thought it was fun and I walked out feeling somewhat satisfied. Personally it didn't bother me that the letters themselves didn't look like the photo because I went into this doing it for fun and trying to find the cheapest option. However if I wanted the letters to look like the photo I would have never gone to a tattoo shop with a random artist. When I got to my car and really look at it I realized that my tattoo was visible from the outside side of my mouth. When my mouth was slightly open or talking you could see the ink. When I got home I immediately start panicking because the entire point of a lip tattoo is for it to be hidden. For context I have 2 other tattoos on my body that I absolutely love so this wasn't just me freaking out because I haven't gotten one. Overall my experience was not good and I do not recommend going here.

I got a salamander it looks good after the tattoo healed a l little bit. A little deep but I told him to go deep so it's my fault hahaha

As usual I'm random with my outing and this place was never on my radar. My friend and I were just walking and I suggested we go to Long Island ink for tattoos and piercing. I got a belly piercing by Chucky! He's very personable and knowledgeable of what he does! I got a belly piercing and it was very painless! Chucky instructed me when to breathe during the process, which out of all the piercing I have, I have never been given! I did not scream during the process nor am I in pain. I definitely recommend Chucky for any of your future piercing! My friend got a tattoo of a heart on her forearm by Omar! Omar was kind to my friend and educated her about the tattoo she wanted since this would be her official first real tattoo! The prices for my piercing was $50 and her tattoo cost $400. Which I think was fair. Definitely recommended!

So yesterday was a first for me. For the first time I was tattooed by a woman. After getting some touch up work, new work, and some lettering I can confidently say it was hands down the best experience I've ever had. Janice touched the ribbon and then laid down the thorn around it. Janice is the artist who laid down my ink. She is fantastic. She is chill. She is super knowledgeable. Janice is crazy talented. I left planning my next tattoo. If you are considering getting any work done you need to check this place out. The prices are competitive, but honestly the work Janice is doing at Long Island Ink Atlanta is worth top buck.

I'm not from Atlanta, nor Long Island, but I felt at home. They really made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I was visiting from California and decided to drop in to make a memory. Janice did an awesome job, she treated me like a queen (pun intended). The place was clean and professional. Thanks again, everyone at Long Island Ink for a great time!

So months ago I began looking and found a couple of good shops. I reached out to each and Liberty was highly responsive to my inquiries. So about two weeks before they let me know Zak would be the artist and to reach out to him directly. We chatted via Instagram messenger and we decided on a date and time. Flash forward to Monday the 14th of March, I ubered up and headed to Liberty. From moment one Zak and I chatted and he was honest about the initial pictures I had sent him and the fact that they'd be hard to replicate. So we started looking for images and when I found the first attached picture. He was like that will work perfectly and will be one that lasts and won't loose it's integrity. So then he prepped the design in two sizes and we both agreed the larger one would be better. He also was able to place it an an area that makes it stand out and will when all said and done will be a centerpiece to the eventual sleeve. Zak is an amazing artist and his finesse with the actual needle work was amazing. I felt only a few of the needle strokes, it was the lightest touch and the outcome is amazing. He took his time, the hair on the body of the butterfly is delicate and precise. The color saturation is beautiful, the pixelization of the black mimics the photo and makes the butterfly pop. Zak did some lettering on my other arm and it came out beautifully. I have received tons of compliments in the last few days and I'm so happy with the work, that I'd fly back to Atlanta to work with Zak again. Id like to also compliment the shop. It was very welcoming from the music to artwork on the walls. The shop was full of light and the artists were genuinely having a good time together, signing, talking and engaging with their clients. If your looking to get a tattoo in Atlanta, this shop must be the shop you g

We wanted to get fine line Star Wars themed tattoos -- we provided the image and they advised to make the image a little bigger so the lines won't look shriveled over time. We agreed with their recommendation and got to the table with not much of wait. Everyone was very inviting, the place itself looked really cool and eclectic. I immediately thought of coming back for a flash deal if we were ever in town again! Very clean, very sterile, and very friendly -- so why one less star?? Unfortunately both our fine line tattoos have faded by the end of the week. The pressure didn't feel deep enough for either of us and the line work is VERY light. We already want them touched up but since we're not from the area, we'd have to find another artist. BUT that shouldn't take away fully from the good experience! Maybe if we weren't leaving to the airport after this, we would've been able to speak up and say to go a smidge thicker. Or perhaps we should've visited in the beginning of our trip so we can return for touch ups at the end of our trip after the first couple of days of healing. Not sure. But still good vibes here!

I stopped by early in my trip to check availability and not surprisingly there wasn't much. The books were booked but they told me that an artist did walks-ins on Saturdays at 3pm and to come in around then. Being super anxious I got there about 2:45pm that day and found out someone else was even more anxious because the appointment was gone. Bummed, because I really had my hopes up I then talked to another artist, Hank who asked me what I was trying to get done. Ironically, he did a lot of sketch designs and I was looking for just that kind of tattoo. He knew the tattoo wouldn't take too long and agreed to take me the next day which happened to be Easter Sunday. Hank was amazing. While I can't say it was completely painless because I don't think any tattoo ever is or will be, overall the complete process was. He drew my design essentially overnight. When I came in the next day he showed it to me, and the thing I love about tattooing and art in general is what I had in my head of what it was going to be like wasn't exactly what he drew, but I loved his vision so I changed nothing but the overall size of the tattoo and we went to work. He gave me great instructions afterwards and it never turned red at all. It looked perfect the entire time. The healing process was amazing. I live in Florida but will absolutely make any trip to see Hank for future tattoos because it's absolutely worth it.
