My husband and I came here on our last day of our trip with the hopes they accept walk-ins... And they do! We wanted to get fine line Star Wars themed tattoos -- we provided the image and they advised to make the image a little bigger so the lines won't look shriveled over time. We agreed with their recommendation and got to the table with not much of wait. Everyone was very inviting, the place itself looked really cool and eclectic. I immediately thought of coming back for a flash deal if we were ever in town again! Very clean, very sterile, and very friendly -- so why one less star?? Unfortunately both our fine line tattoos have faded by the end of the week. The pressure didn't feel deep enough for either of us and the line work is VERY light. We already want them touched up but since we're not from the area, we'd have to find another artist. BUT that shouldn't take away fully from the good experience! Maybe if we weren't leaving to the airport after this, we would've been able to speak up and say to go a smidge thicker. Or perhaps we should've visited in the beginning of our trip so we can return for touch ups at the end of our trip after the first couple of days of healing. Not sure. Amazing from start to finish! I was traveling to Atlanta for a business trip and I've decided as part of my travels to commemorate my travels by getting a tattoo. So months ago I began looking and found a couple of good shops. I reached out to each and Liberty was highly responsive to my inquiries. So about two weeks before they let me know Zak would be the artist and to reach out to him directly. We chatted via Instagram messenger and we decided on a date and time. Flash forward to Monday the 14th of March, I ubered up and headed to Liberty. From moment one Zak and I chatted and he was honest about the initial pictures I had sent him and the fact that they'd be hard to replicate. So we started looking for images and when I found the first attached picture. He was like that will work perfectly and will be one that lasts and won't loose it's integrity. So then he prepped the design in two sizes and we both agreed the larger one would be better. He also was able to place it an an area that makes it stand out and will when all said and done will be a centerpiece to the eventual sleeve. Zak is an amazing artist and his finesse with the actual needle work was amazing. I felt only a few of the needle strokes, it was the lightest touch and the outcome is amazing. He took his time, the hair on the body of the butterfly is delicate and precise. The color saturation is beautiful, the pixelization of the black mimics the photo and makes the butterfly pop. Zak did some lettering on my other arm and it came out beautifully. I have received tons of compliments in the last few days and I'm so happy with the work, that I'd fly back to Atlanta to work with Zak again. Id like to also compliment the shop. I had this tattoo for years (not done by Liberty) and recently reached out to Liberty to see if that could bring it back to life. I'm writing this review because it was extremely professional of them to give me the advise to start the tattoo removal process. They advised the tattoo was just too dark to make out of anything. And I hadn't thought about having it removed. They could have taken my money and not had a care what the outcome would have been. To start, I had a good feeling the moment I walked in. It was such a warm welcome. I was greeted by not one, but two gentlemen who asked me what I wanted. After expressing that, one of them walked around the counter to get up close and see what I was talking about. ( These things make the guest feel special!) The man then talked to Anne, who eventually tattooed me, about what I wanted. She looked at it for a few seconds and told me she was going to sketch me something. After a few moments, she came back with SEVERAL sketches/ ALL EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED!! I was thrilled and excited just from that. I picked one and was probably out of the shop 15 mins later. All for a pretty decent price. My tattooer Anne was heaven sent, but everyone there was truly so hospitable. I will be back very soon. BIG SIDENOTE: there's a tattoo parlor very close/across the street from this one. I stopped by before going into Liberty Tattoo and talked to them about a cover up. They "couldn't" do what I wanted, so they came up with something. They were going to charge me 180$!!! 180$!! Fading after 3 weeks! My friend and I got ours done together, after a few weeks of fading, we tried to call our girl Rachel for touch ups (which she said she'd do for free). I called on a Monday around 7:30pm to make sure we can come in but we were met with rude remarks and sarcasm. We were just told, "We don't do finger touch ups, and especially not for free. Rachel is leaving after this tattoo, you can come Friday." So I asked if there was anyone else who can do our tattoos, I was met with laughing and, "I'm trying to tell them (to Rachel). Honestly it took me almost 2 months to write this review. My friend and I visited this location on 4/4/21. The front of the house was amazing and accommodating she referred us to a artist who had a cancellation because her client had just found out she was pregnant. We asked for a very simple design and when the artist came back it wasn't what we wanted and I asked for another design and she very rudely said "I'm not a mind reader" it was at that moment I began to text my friend that we should go. We told her thank you for her time & we wouldn't be getting tattooed after all. Upon departure she said "make an appointment next time ... matter of fact make sure it's not with me". I would never want someone with such a sore attitude to permanently mark my body. I guess what irritated me the most is that we gave this lady background information, reasoning and direction on what we wanted to do with the tattoo and she was still so vile. I felt that I should post this because my friend was in town having outpatient treatment with the wounded warrior battalion to ensure that she wouldn't become one of the 22 a day after a tumultuous 17 month tour in Afghanistan. I'm grateful to have another Memorial Day with her alive. I strongly advise any veterans reading this take your business elsewhere. read more

All of the artists here care about the work they put in, they're normally always down for walk-ins if it's simple or small enough. They really take in your input and wants within your budget. I've been tattooed by Shay, Joey, and Mike. They were all amazing, each and every one making sure I had the right care and time put into my tattoo. This was my first ever tattoo and I was very apprehensive and nervous to say the least. We walked into Liberty and were greeted by the friendly Sten. He made a stencil of what I wanted and gave me his frank opinion of what the tattoo would look like if I made it any smaller. He gave me great advice on the placement of the tattoo and was super professional throughout. I went home with the stencil placed so that I could think about it for one more night. Sten does walk ins on Saturdays from 3 pm onwards and told me that I could come back at that time once I had decided on what I wanted to do. We came back on a Saturday and Sten came in right around 3 pm. We got started with the tattoo shortly after. I was so nervous about the pain and once I sat down in the chair, realized it was not so bad! Sten was so calm the entire time and this helped ease any worries I might have had. My tattoo was in Sanskrit and once I saw the end result, I realized (even more) that Sten is truly a master at his craft. He is extremely detail oriented and precise. The tattoo looked better than anything I could have ever imagined. He gave me good instructions on after care and provided the best first tattoo experience! What can I say...... Liberty Tattoo did it AGAIN! If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I stumbled upon this gem of a shop by chance. As fate would have it, I initially went to a tattoo shop a couple of blocks from Liberty, but when I walked into that shop, the feeling was less than warm, which was my queue to exit....fast. I got in my car and started driving. Luckily Liberty Tattoo was a few short blocks away. I pulled in the parking lot and said ok, let me try this again. When I walked in the door, I was greeted by not one, but 3 different people!! They were professional, friendly and kind. The service was fast yet efficient. I was in and out in less than an hour. So naturally, I went back to Liberty on New Year's Day to get my annual Tat. This time I took my son's girlfriend along as she wanted one too. When we pulled up, they were grilling outside, which I later found out is something they do every New Year's Day for the staff. Again, we were greeted with smiles by several people. Cassie was actually at the front desk. She was awesome! We told her what we wanted she went to the back for a brief moment and then two Artists came out to get further details. Michael was the Artist that did my son's girlfriend's tattoo and Shay (The owner) did mine. They were both patient, courteous and very professional. You could tell they really enjoyed what they were doing and most importantly, they enjoyed each other. Shay, the owner, kept telling all the Artists' to make sure to get some BBQ pork chops! It was awesome, made me smile with my heart. Because we live in such a Technology driven society, it's REALLY hard to get good (face to face) customer service, very rare, so when I encounter a place (besides Chic Fil A) where the customer service is extraordinary, I make it a point to let others know about it and I keep my money there. The only concern I have is that when I took bandage off, the letter i had some blurring surrounding the dot, a week later and it's still blurred.
